USING THE DEVIL TO PERFORM MIRACLES: EXPOSING THE OCCULTISM AND SHAMANISM OF PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.(Mathew 24:24)

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do(revelations 13:13-14)

PFN makes it clear that any member who fraternizes with TB Joshua will be suspended

... when somebody says he is as Christian, pastor, minister, you ask him when did he become born-again. Most people know when they get born again, when they confess Jesus with heir mouth. But T. B. Joshua said he was converted from his mothers womb. And we know that is not possible.

"Miracles, signs and wonders are not exclusive preserve of God. The devil too can perform miracles. That a man does miracles is not enough reason to attest to his ministry. Remember Jambres and …… "

--- Wale Adefarasin,
Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria
National Secretary.

As the Lagos State PFN president, what is the true position on T.B. Joshua?

Let me first of all say that in the larger part of our country, when anybody comes to say he wants to marry your daughter, what we do is send people to check out the family of the parties involved in the marriage. They want to know what is the family like.

So when the people of the world makes noise about a certain minister in Nigeria, the proper thing to do is to come here and find out what is his reputation here, what are his records before they embrace him.

Miracles, signs and wonders are not exclusive preserve of God. The devil too can perform miracles. That a man does miracles is not enough reason to attest to his ministry. Remember Jambres and ……

On T. B. Joshua, the PFN makes it clear that any member who fraternizes with him will be suspended until they repent. We do not believe at this point in time that it is a ministry of God.

What we want people to know and find out is that when somebody says he is as Christian, pastor, minister, you ask him when did he become born-again. Most people know when they get born again, when they confess Jesus with their mouth. But T. B. Joshua said he was converted from his mothers womb. And we know that is not possible.

We ask him where was he when he was called to ministry. Who are the men of God who can point at him that that we raise him into ministry, lay hands on him and sent him forth into the ministry.

We do have a problem with him there. On his friend Oyakhilome, he himself has said said he is not part of PFN, so I don't think there is a need to make any comments on him.

How God delivered me from Joshua

- Bayo Ajede, Ex- aide.

http://www.nigerianantichrist.com/ajede.htm

Bayo Ajede, an accountant by profession and former personal assistant to T.B. Joshua, speaking with Journalists made startling revelations about his former boss, describing him as the devil's incarnate. Excerpts:

My name is Bayo Ajede. I am from Ogun State; my father came from Ijebu-Ode and my mother from Abeokuta. I started my primary education at St. Paul Primary School at Igbore, Abeokuta and later moved to Ijebu-Ode to complete the latter part of the elementary school. I re¬turned to Abeokuta for my secondary education and was admitted into the Oke-Ona Grammar School. From there, I had the privilege to enter the Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where I did my OND in Accountancy. I proceeded to the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where I completed my HND. Thereafter I served in RBW Bureau de Change.

Trapped:

Immediately after the service, I had the privilege to travel out of the country in 1991. I was in the UK for about 3 or 4 years, after which I came back to Nigeria on holiday during which a lot of things happened. I got trapped in a couple of places. The first place was one Cherubim and Seraphim's church. From there, someone introduced me to the Synagogue Church of All Nations, giving me assurance that after getting to the Synagogue, my problems and whatever had been hanging around me, debarring my progress would be solved. I got to Synagogue, T. B. Joshua saw me in the midst of well over 5,000 people. He came back and sent one of his disciples there to take me right into his inner room, that he would be coming to see me there.
He came in and asked: Don't you know who you are? Don't you know that we had a cross to carry together? He said that seeing me in the midst of the congregation, he saw a disciple in me. At that particular moment, I got trapped, because I believed him as God's sent. I abandoned home. While those I left in UK thought I was still at home in Nigeria, my parents thought their son was in the United Kingdom, not knowing that he had been holed up in Joshua's slave camp between the year 1993 and 1994.

Relationship:

There was no relationship other than being enslaved by Joshua. The day he spoke with me for the first time began my enslavement. He said "Young man, I know you wanted to travel, you wanted to go back overseas to do this or whatever, and that you are just around, but never mind, by the time I finish with you, all those things will be given to you on the platter of gold." I found it so difficult to fault him and it was rather unfortunate that I could allow myself to be deceived by one of his many lies.

I used to be a Muslim before getting to the place. I fell flat for his lies. That was how he started to manipulate my life. While we were there, he made the law that you must not eat meat or fish, for him to be able to use your spirit mind, and while he himself is eating panla (stockfish).
Some of us in his slave camp, people like Julius, Gbenga, Tope Lawal (younger brother of a footballer), saw him practicing Ifa divination and Oro cult.

T. B. Joshua:

That guy called T. B. Joshua is a devil; he is a demon, and he can use anything against you. It's unfortunate that Nigerian government have not seen anything wrong in his activities. I know that such a thing can happen only in Nigeria. He is a very dirty person. I am privileged to leave him. God is faithful. He has promised that he would never allow us to be tempted more than we can endure, and even when we are being tempted, he would gIVe us the way out. It was that way out that spoke for us. This is because while you are there, you dare not.

Called himself black man Jesus:

There is nothing about T. B. Joshua that can be referred to as a godly man. He is a heartless man. He used to tell us that some people were expecting the second coming of Christ in form of a white man, but unknown to many Nigerians, that Jesus Christ is already in our midst in form of the black man. And the moment he said that, you would see him waving his hands across the faces of people and all of them would start stumbling, shouting and all that, giving impression that probably this man was exactly what he said he is. He would start giving you some papers in which were occultic scribblings, directing you to lick them, and some to eat them. He would also ask you to go and collect some water on the altar: On that altar, there is an image, let me say, something like a sculpture placed beside that dirty water there.
His is ritualistic:

T. B. Joshua is someone who believes in all those diabolical means of getting whatever he wants to get. While I was there, at a particular point in time, I happened to be the only one staying with him in his chalet. I dictated what he wore and what he ate. I was the only one in charge of every money that came in, both in Dollars and Naira. That was when I got to know that there was more about this guy. I'm not going to deceive you, at a particular point in time, I became afraid of him. The experiences of the past are still fresh in my memory. He had an altar in his house. Whenever he was there, he would lock himself up. He would stand on his toes, doing something like conjuring things. He has an altar where he put all those things that could be best described as occultism. And if you happened to be one of his disciples, there were places he normally placed their names, working on them. And also just like you are a press man, I remember one newspaper in those days, called Eko whatever. When that newspaper carried some information against him, do you know what T. B. Joshua did? He got the copy of the particular newspaper and the picture of the man, placed it on his altar: He ensured that a candle was lit and placed upon the picture and the newspaper. That candle was there together with some terrible things for 24 hours. So you cannot be with him without him influencing you, both spiritually and otherwise. It only takes the grace of God for your eyes to be opened.

Ruined lives:

There are lots of people this guy has frustrated and ruined their lives. He is a bloody liar Over 90 per cent of his members will confirm knowing me there. I worked very close to him. A large number of them still identifY me on the streets. When they meet me they would shake hands with me and I sometimes wondered how they man¬aged to know me. When one of the devotees died, T B. Joshua got to where the guy's corpse was, he touched it with his leg, two or three times, opened his mouth and spat in it and said the guy was gone.

Why he keeps pigeons

He is a very dirty human being. If he is clean all the people who have left him, including Pastor Taiwo, would never have left him. By virtue of my closeness to him, I should be able to tell you more of his devilish work. Do you know why he is keeping pigeons? I will tell you. When he traveled home, he was given two pigeons from his village, for ritual. He told one Samuel to go and buy more pigeons from the North so that they could all be living together; and nobody would be able to know what those (special) two pigeons stand for As I am saying, I don't have any dirty records with him. But if he has any, let him come out with it. And when the time comes, I will also like to meet him face to face and confront him with all I'm saying now. It would be wonderful if you people can organize a forum like this to talk on all these allegations. He can't deny the allegations.

Sexual urge knows no bounds:

T B. Joshua sleep with many women, including some of his disciples in the congregation.
If he discovered that one of the girls he was sleeping with was at the same time sleeping with another member of the congregation, do you know what he would do? He would try to disgrace that person and at the end of the day, they would be frustrated. While I was there, I tried my best to protect those ones that were my 'daughters'. He dared not touch them. One of these is Taiwo. I made it very difficult for T B. Joshua to sleep with Taiwo. He tried his best to sleep with Taiwo, but he couldn't. Whenever T B. Joshua sent for Taiwo, she would send somebody to come and tell me: "Brother Bayo I'm corning." The moment that message was delivered I would know that T B. Joshua was calling her I would go there and stand so that he could see me. He would ask, "Do you want to see me?" and I would reply, "no, when you finish I would see you," and he would not be able to touch the girl before he dismissed her That was how I was able to protect the girl from sexual abuse by a man who called himself man of God.

He has places he normally go to visit some of his concubines in the night. I got to know all these when I was going out with him, because most of the time when he was going out like that, I would be the only one he took along in his sport car I thank God that I never allowed my spirit to be corrupted by him. There were so many terrible things that he was perpetrating, while I was there. And I used to warn him against these. Some of these women, I mean little-little kids he bastardized were between the ages of 12 and 15. Aanu, Bose and so on. I believe some of these will still be with him. He has brainwashed their parents. He gave their parents money from time to time. He often carry the girls on his laps, giving an impression that he is showing them love.

Untouchable
His claim to be untouchable is a blasphemous. It is only God that is untouchable. He is deceiving himself with the lie of the devil. This is be¬cause he believes he is so connected even up to the Presidency. He knows people over there. He has a way of mingling himself with them. They often invited him to come and perform his abracadabra; at the end the day they would believe his lies. They would give him money, and honour him. It happened during the time of the late General Sani Abacha. So I can say without any fear of contradiction that T B. Joshua is a liar He is deceiving people. How can a human being say he is untouchable? He cannot say that in any of the western countries, because the government owe its citizens a duty to protect them. But in Nigeria, I don't know why they allow him to go for long without anybody saying anything. Another reason why he thinks he is untouchable is that he knows himself that he is a satanic agent and he has come to sell his lies to the people, even at the highest places. He believes that Satan would establish his kingdom at the end of the day. But that will not be in Jesus name, here in Nigeria. Christ will intervene and decree light to overcome his darkness.

When I left Synagogue:
I left Synagogue compound on October 3,2007. Well over 30 or 40 people left with me. They never went back there. That was why he did not allow the 2nd and 3rd batch to go and visit their parents any more. It is unfortunate that some of those girls are still there, but you can't blame them, can you? They've been tied down like a sheep, waiting to be slaughtered. But his devilish trick and power can only work in the lives of those who do not know their God. While we were there, we were just called Christians by name. I didn't know what it was to be a Christian, neither did I know Christ. That was why his trick and power worked. It can't work any more.

Escape from slave camp:
We realized that there were somethings about this man more than eyes can meet. All those things we saw around him, we don't seem to understand why those things were there. We started thinking about a way of escape. If you see him in the morning, and said good morning, he would never answer you, until he touched one image placed beside his bed. That thing is made up of a she-goat skin carved in form of a human being.

He called a meeting and said he wanted to deal with me but was restrained by the Spirit of God. He said he knew that I was a stump, adding that if not for the mercy of God, he would have cut me down with an Axe .That when he sends me out of the place, people would no longer recognize me. This was when I engaged in firing prayer and fasting for God to take me out of the slave camp of T B. Joshua. He had almost 150 disciples then, and all of them started calling me radical Evangelist. They never knew what I knew. There was a time he threatened that he was like Jesus, and that all the prayers I had been praying could not pass beyond his armpit, unless he gave us the grace to do so.

Revelation:
God showed me a vision that where we were was like a cage. You know that local cage where fowls are packed. God said when the time was ripe, he would open that cage for us as in the morning and we would all get out of the dungeon. We were there waiting for fulfillment of the prophesy. One day Joshua called a meeting, the usual disciple meeting. He made it known that some of us had been working for him for some time, that we now needed to go and bring our parents, to come and sign an affidavit that they have consigned us to do the work of God with him for the rest of our life. He did this simply because, around that time, there were some people that died there. What he did over their death is just between him and God. He said we should take the papers to our parents, bring back the signed ones or possibly bring our parents down to come and sign in the church. What he normally do under such situation, he would position a camera man and ask parents to sign while the camera man was recording what was going on, making it known as if they just came to sign those things out of their own volition. Well, I got my own papers, left the church and never returned there. The Lord has provided a way of escape for me. In fact, the first batch that left never came back. That was why he canceled the whole idea and would not allow any batch to go any more.

Former devotee lambasts T. B. Joshua and Emmanuel Ijeh on wheel chairs
http://www.nigerianantichrist.com/ijeh2.htm
FORMER Associate Prophet to Prophet T. B. Joshua, Agomoh Paul, has reacted to last week's Sunday live telecast on the Synagogue Church cable television, Emmanuel TV, where Mr. And Mrs Ijeh denied that they knew him.

"I watched Fatai's (T. B. Joshua) Emmanuel TV and saw his new game of propaganda. He bribed Mr. Maxwell Ijeh to come and claim that he came to the Synagogue with (on) the wheel¬chair and that he never knew me. I knew that was the only game he had to play. All the same, he (Joshua) will have a lot more explanations to tell the world over all the cases we exposed. Apart from that, I still have more to say about his spiritual manipulations which have caused more harm to the world.
"Mr. Maxwell claimed that he was discharged from the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital by a doctor who advised him to either go to herbalists or spiritualists for solution to his problem. He also claimed that the wheelchair was bought for him by his co-workers in his working place and both he and his wife claimed they never knew me.
"Mr. Maxwell Ijeh came to the Synagogue Church in the year 2000 with a problem of pains in his waist caused by a fall on the stairs of the house where he is living. He was driven to the church in a Volkswagen beetle car with his wife. As it is the custom of the church, the disciples that work in a department known as Emergency Department first screened him before calling me to pray for him. After the prayer, I asked him to stand and he did and I took him on a little walk, massaging his back at intervals before leading him back to the car. He was taken home and brought back on another day within the week but this time, he was a lot stronger.
"In our usual way, a few disciples in the brainwashing department headed by one Sister Olaitan stepped to work. They had to tell Maxwell that unless the man of God confirms his healing, that his situation will be worse. What else does a man who had just received a relief from his waist pain expect than to meet with the so-called man of God?
"It was at this point that the caucus disciples suggested that he needed a wheelchair to be able to attract the attention of the man of God because there are so many people thronging to see him. Mr. and Mrs. Ijeh accepted and the disciples in charge promised to give them one of the wheelchairs which they claimed were left behind by those who had received their healing in the Synagogue Church.
"So, Sister Olaitan and I went and brought one out of the four wheelchairs we bought for Joshua hidden in the maintenance department. This wheel¬chair was given to Mr. and Mrs. Ijeh to carry home so that they will come with it on the service day. The idea of allowing them to go home with the wheel¬chair was that when they come on the service day, they will be recorded right from the gate in the (full glare) of the foreign visitors so that the visitors will never have any doubt about the miracle. I am surprised that Mr. and Mrs. Ijeh could not put the devil to shame and tell the world the truth."

Journalists recount tales in Synagogue Church

http://www.nigerianantichrist.com/journalists.htm

"the funny thing is that the sermon has no relationship with the pamphlet we were made to buy outside (the Church) ... funnier was the incoherence of the message laced with grammatical blunders..."
Two reporters of THE WESTERNER were at T.B. Joshua 's Synagogue Church of All Nations last Easter Sunday to observe the controversial cleric at close quarters under the guise of being worshipers. But they got more than they bargained for as the prophet said one of them had 'a spirit husband' and had to go through 'deliverance' before she could leave the church.

It was on Easter Sunday. We had no idea when the service at Synagogue would start. With the hindsight that most churches start their services at about 8a.m, we agreed to meet at Ikotun market by 7.30a.m. Fortunately for us we met at about 8.30a.m, but we blamed ourselves for being late as we felt we would have missed a better part of the service. Little did we know that we were wrong.
On getting to the church premises, a gigantic stone-walled edifice which is a wonderful sight to behold, we were welcomed by a rather noisy and rowdy atmosphere. We heard a set of people calling out; "Get your pass! Go and get your pass!" At a loss on how to get into the church auditorium, we asked for direction and we were asked to join the new comers queue. This was however not without collecting our gate pass. "Do we need a pass to get into the church?" one of us asked. "Yes, you have to buy this cassette and pamphlet before you would be allowed in," a hawker told us. The next question that came from us was "Why?" to which she responded that 'The tape and pamphlet is the sermon for the day. Without it you can't get inside." "Is it for new comers alone?" we asked thinking that was actually the case. "No, it's not It is for both members and first timers, it costs N200;' we were told. We asked if we could share one and her answer was "No, salvation is personal. You can't share." We bought our gate pass and joined the very long queue where we stood for about 20 minutes before getting to the entrance. Such was the huge crowd waiting to get in. But many of them were angry that they had to pay gate fee to enter a church. "What you people are doing is very wrong. It's not full; what if one doesn't have money, does it mean the person would have to go back home?" someone fumed in the crowd An old lady on the queue complained that she had no N200, pleading that she came from a fur distance and had spent all she had on transportation. But the hawkers and church workers around told her there was nothing they could do to help and she left the church premises a sad person.
Getting to the entrance, we met another kind of protocol. A man stood at the entrance saying, "Is this your first Sunday in this church? If it is not, get on this other queue and go to the gallery for your registration so you can be given a pass to attend the service." For the new comers who remained on the queue, our bags were searched before we were finally allowed to go in.
Getting into the stone-walled auditorium, we were made to sit on selected seats very close to the entrance, where a couple of ushers attended to us. "If you have HIV, Cancer, Tuberculosis or Mental problem, please stand up;' one of the ushers announced. Some stood up and were taken to separate seats. The rest of us were later redistributed to different parts of the church to seat and thus reporters were separated.
The service started with a praise and worship session which lasted for about three minutes. It was followed by a bible reading and a subsequent interpretation in French language. Thereafter, the mixed-raced choir in their angelic robes, ministered in songs. The petite Chinese at the piano was really adept at what he was doing. An unconfirmed source disclosed that the choristers are paid for their services. While the choristers were ministering, Prophet T.B. Joshua walked in and the congregation stood up in reverence. Almost immediately, the curtains were drawn probably to prevent those outside from watching what was going on inside.
A few minutes later, the prophet began to minister on the theme: ' Jesus was delivered up.' The funny thing at this point, was that the sermon had no relationship with the pamphlet we were made to buy outside. Funnier still was the incoherency of the message laced with grammatical blunders, which was however made bearable by the choristers with intermit¬tent renditions. One major message of the one-hour sermon was that Christians should make prayer an every day affair instead of a hobby.
In the course of the service, there were white pigeons flying atop the ceiling which had some electrical fit¬tings as well as various portraits of Jesus Christ . After a thorough observation, we noticed that the birds had their nest in a sculptured forest that had life plants in it on a side of the church auditorium. As the man of God rounded off his message, we were grateful to God that our assignment was going to be over in a couple of minutes, but little did we know that we were just served the main course.
When the sem10n came to an end, the congregation stood up for prayers, he asked the congregation to lift up their handkerchiefs so he could pray on them. "Any sick person you touch these aprons with will get healed!" he prayed, to which he got a thunderous amen. It was in the midst of these prayers that another form of ministration began, the one specifically meant for new comers.
He would walk up to a particular person and tell the person his - the new comer ¬'problems and life history'. While doing this, the church's cable TV crew; Emmanuel TV as well as other church workers would swirl around him and whoever he was ministering to. For the crew, their main job was to ensure the transmission of the ministration on the screen, hold their customized microphone close to the person's mouth to ensure that the whole church was hearing all that transpired between the man of God and who¬ever he was ministering to. After ministering to five people, Joshua walked up to one of the two reporters. "You have a spirit husband, you are a very nice person, but people don't see you as one because of this. And as such, you are confused and don't have direction, but you have direct¬ed everything to God" he prophesied. The reporter did not respond so the man of God moved to another person. A church worker later came to the reporter and told her to join the group of people who had been prophesied to. While walking out, the camera man asked the journalist to move back so he could focus the camera on her. A dark-skinned and smallish young lady also met her and asked: "Why didn't you confirm the man of God's prophesy?" "'Was I supposed to do that'!," the journalist, surprised, asked. She answered in the affirmative and told her that she needed to wait for deliverance so that she could be free from the spirit She was moved to another seat, within the ranks of those of who had received prophecies. She had actually thought that the man of God would prophesy that she was a reporter on a spy mission. But this escaped the spiritual radar of Joshua .
The reporter was yet to settle down at her new location, when the man of God called out a fair complexioned nursing mother "Madam, you have a spirit husband. In your own case, there is a spirit living inside of you. Give your baby to the per¬son sitting next to you and come out." The woman did as she was told. However on getting to the altar, a display of spiritual acrobatics ensured. The sup¬posed spirit living in the woman began to warn the man of God through the mouth of its 'wife'. "T. B Joshua leave me alone o! I B Joshua leave me alone! You have been disturbing me since I entered this church, leave me alone. This woman you are seeing is my queen. We got married a long time ago in the water; I don't know why she went to marry that man who is a prayer warrior Day and night he is praying. That is why I'm frustrating him." "How are you frustrating him, did you make him loose his job?:' Joshua asked 'the spirit'. "No, he still has his job, but I have been giving him one problem or the other at work in the United States . That's why I made her (wife) to have an accident during her last pregnancy," 'the spirit' told Joshua .

The synagogue prophet later 'commanded the spirit out of the woman' who ended up vomiting some substances. When she 're¬gained consciousness,' she asked people around her what she was doing on the floor.
"How did I get here? What happened to me?"
While this was going on, another person who claimed to be a new comer and who sat not too far away from the altar began to call for Joshua 's attention.
"Man of God, Man of God, help me, Man of God forgive me, I have blasphemed against you." In tears the woman claimed that four of her brothers died within 13 years and that she prevented her father from coming to see Joshua for prayers.
"I told my father that IE. Joshua uses occult powers and that he is not a true man of God, so he shouldn't think of stepping in the church. My father wallowed in depression and left home one day. It's been over three years since my father left home; I do not know where he is."
The lady claimed she came to the church after being told by 'the Holy Spirit' that Joshua is a true man of God.
''I moved into a new apartment and suddenly saw Emmanuel TV showing on my television set. I was surprised to see a cable station I didn't pay for At first I wasn't watching it, each time the channel came up I would change it until one fateful day I stumbled on the station and heard the man of God mention the name of Jesus. I was shocked, I thought the name of Jesus is not mentioned in this church, it was then the Holy spirit told me that 'IB. Joshua is his prophet. Man of God, forgive me. I have sinned against you."

She went on and on until the prophet asked her to be quiet. At this point, the man of God cautioned the congregation not to pay attention to the bad picture the press was painting about him out there.
"Sit down, I will attend to you later," he said to the supplicant and moved on to other new comers, still prophesying.

A lady who had been looking at one of THE WESTERNER reporters intermittently walked up to her and asked a surprising question. "My sister, the prophecy the man of God told you, is it true?"
"Why do you ask?" she responded.
"I'm asking because what he said to me is not true. All he said about me is no where near the truth," she said The journalist did not encourage her to continue, suspecting she could be an under cover agent of the prophet.
Soon, the man of God brought out a small bottle that was filled with water and educated the congregation on how to use it.
'The water in this bottle you are seeing in my hand is strictly for spiritual purposes. W: have one for evil spirits, another one for all kinds of diseases and we also have another for poverty. If you want poverty to be destroyed in your life, just sprinkle it on your body. I know you all are eager to get this bottle in my hand, but I must warn you not to use on people in public because you may get arrested by the police going by the way it works. The police will think it is some sort of chemical."
To demonstrate this, he sprinkled the water on a man he claimed was possessed with an evil spirit and immediately, the man began to scream and jump frantically scratching his body.
"How do you feel?" T.B. Joshua asked him.
"It's as if broken bottles have been poured all over my body. Its itching me sit; its itching me;' the man said, begging for help.
"Don't worry, by the time I sprinkle another one on him, the itching will stop. This is a sign that he is possessed;' he said to the congregation. He sprinkled it on him again, but this time around, the itching worsened.
'This is a sign that the evil spirit in him is so much;' he said again. The man was shouting for help. Joshua then laid his hands on him and he calmed down. He did the same thing to another woman he claimed bed wets. Her experience was the same as the man's. When he was done with the Holy water; he moved out of the auditorium. According to him, there were sick people outside waiting to be healed.
"You all should watch the screen, I am going to call out new comers that will come and pray for them with their aprons (that I prayed on) and you will see them get healed;' he said to the congregation as he walked out. As usual, Emmanuel TV crew and other church workers frantically ran after him from all angles of the auditorium.
"Man of God, Man of God, we came all the way from Kaduna, my mother has not been able to walk for the past two years, she had a spinal chord injury and since then, she has been paralyzed. Man of God, have mercy on my mother; man of God have mercy," the sick woman's daughter wailed "Don't worry, your mum will get healed;' he consoled her Immediately he called on a male 'new comer' and asked him to place the handkerchief all over the sick woman, saying "Be healed in Jesus name." The 'new comer' did this over and over again until the man of God ordered him to say "rise up and walk in Jesus name." The man did as he was told and immediately, the woman began to move her body gradually until she eventually walked. The congregation shouted for joy at this miracle.
Joshua moved on the next person who " claimed to be a Muslim. According to " his friend who spoke on his behalf, the man is paralyzed and was brought all the way from Abuja in search of healing. "Man of God heal my friend, he is a e politician, but due to this illness, he has s been unable to contest for elections."
This time around, TB. Joshua called out a female new comer to pray for the man with her apron as well. She did the same thing that her counterpart had done earlier and the man suddenly began to move his body and got up to walk.

The congregation could not hide their joy, as the church choir ministered in praise songs to God. It became a dancing session for every one, except a few like us who felt some form of play acting was on.
The two reporters had become weary by 2pm and happily, the man of God announced that the first service was e coming to an end for the second one to come up soon.
"In the second service, I am going to attend to all the new comers. I will start with those who are HIV positive as well as those who have cancer;" he said.
The man of God then said that any one that wanted was free to go home except those who were waiting for the second service. This category of people were given a IS-minute break. The two reporters, seating at different points picked up their bags and made for the door But surprisingly, two female church workers accosted the reporter Joshua claimed had a 'spirit husband', "Please you cannot go out," they said firmly.
"Why?" she asked.
"You must wait for the man of God to conduct deliverance for you."
"How about going on break?" I persisted.
"No, you can't go on break," she insisted The reporter sat down like others in her shoes, while her colleague kept calling her on phone to come out. She looked around and sneaked out.

- Chris Okotie

http://www.nigerianantichrist.com/interview-okotie.htm

In this interview, Pastor Chris(topher) Okotie of Household of God, Oregun Lagos, speaks on the invitation by the then Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mike Okiro on his press war with T.B. Joshua of Synagogue Church of all Nations and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy.

Let us start with the most recent development. You were invited to the office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner. Can you tell us what transpired there?
The commissioner wanted to make sure that there was no breakdown of law and order in Lagos State. He was concerned about the situation of things between Joshua, Oyakhilome and me in terms of all the things he had read in the papers, the claims and counter¬claims of different ministers and because of the volatile nature of religious crisis in the country. He called us and he talked to us based on that. He was not getting into the petition that I wrote to the Inspector General of Police, I-G. He just wanted to say that if there was any problem between us, we could discuss it and we did. There was first a roll-call and we discovered that Chris Oyakhilome was not there. And I told them that I wasn't surprised because he had rather been very evasive recently.
Q: Could you tell us what was really discussed at the meeting?
A: Yes, the first to speak was Joshua who was there with about five of his deputies. He got up and said he did not want any problems and that he was not upset with me. He said I am his brother that he loved me dearly and so on and he sat down. I got up and said I do not want to be hypocritical because the commissioner of police had good intentions and we could not be there to trivialise it, to make it look as if there is no problem when there is one and it is fundamental. The man had threatened my life.
He had come to me a few nights after I had published what transpired between him and Oyakhilome. He came about 3 a.m in the morning but the Spirit of God woke me up. In my bedroom there is a door facing my bed - I live alone. As 1 looked towards the door, Joshua walked into my bedroom. I said this in his presence there at the police station because I got the opportunity to talk to him face to face.

He walked right into my bedroom, he wore a caftan and I recognised him immediately he came in and I was just watching what he was going to do when suddenly there was an explosion from the left side of my bed, just by my wardrobe and a fire came from my side and lifted him off the ground and threw him back at the door. He fell down and was there stupefied. He sat down there for about half an hour, he didn't say a word to me neither I to him. When the daze cleared, he got up, took two steps towards me, stretched his neck to look at me, turned around and walked out. If you are not a spiritual person you won't understand what happened.
That phenomenon is possible, it is called a Familiar Spirit, and he is able to do that. Members of his church will tell you that he appears to them at night. At the police station, I recounted the experience and I said to his face that he is evil because he had come to me at night to hurt me and he was sitting down there, telling people that there is no problem. It is a lie and he is a hypocrite.
I just wanted to be down-to-earth about this thing. So I said to him, 'Joshua, several times have I read your interviews in the paper and there you say that you don't believe that it was me saying those things and I want you to know that I was the one saying them and I want to repeat them in your presence. You are a practitioner of Shamanism, I told Oyakhilome that you are involved in Docetic Gnosticism and he didn't listen to me because of the connection you people have, and everything I said about you is correct.
I told the police that Joshua is a threat to national security. And that the only way the matter could be resolved is for him to pick up his magic box and leave the town. I have to be very direct. In fact, I was speaking to him very directly that the C¬P had to tell me to stop addressing Joshua and rather speak to him (Okiro) directly instead, so that it won't sound like a confrontation.
But I was glad I had that opportunity to talk to him face to face because this demystifies his personality. Joshua is nothing, just a man and the power he has is given to him by spiritual entities and we are connected to the highest spiritual entity which is the Lord Jesus Christ. I wanted to make that abundantly clear to all the people present there. He got up and he said ' Pastor Chris is judging me but I love him dearly, he is my brother, he is a father in the faith and all that stuff.

He said he wanted to shake hands and forget and I said never, we came from two different realms. The God that you are calling is not the God that I know. The gospel you teach is an alien gospel. The Jesus you are calling is an alien Jesus. There is no connection between you and I to warrant a handshake. And I explained to the C-P that it was not as if I am being difficult or trying to be disrespectful but these things are stated in the scriptures. I have studied the Bible for over 14 years and I know what I am saying. Joshua is not qualified to talk about Jesus Christ and the Bible. The Bible is also very clear when it said that I should have nothing to do with a person like Joshua.

I said, 'you all in this place knew me. I grew up in the presence of all of you. You know my past but do you know this man?' No one knows his past. All the stories he tells are not verifiable. Joshua claimed that his birth was prophesied, and that he quoted from the scriptures at a very tender age before knowing the Bible. And the only way that can happen is by spiritual impartation. So, he is claiming equality with Jesus Christ. There is no way we are going to sit back and allow him to carry on. We don't want what he is doing to this country. He is more dangerous than Abacha was.
: But are you not judging Joshua, because the Holy Book says judge not?
A: There are too many ignorant people. When Jesus said judge not, it has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Why did he call the Jews children of the devil? People who are in a covenant relationship with God. He said, no, your covenant with God do not subsist because you are satanic at heart. You are thus children of Satan. I pointed this out to the C-P. When Paul had problems in Jerusalem, he appealed to Caesar and I appealed to the C-P because he represents the Caesar of our time and there is precedence in the Bible.

Q: At what point do you think that Joshua could be a threat to churches and even to Nigeria?
A: We have been observing Joshua for many years in the country. As I told the C-P, he has been around for about 10 years. But we were of the impression that the church recognises that he was a charlatan and that the people who were going to him were the people who had made up their minds that they wanted to be involved with him. We refrained from speaking because the Bible says there is a time to speak to a scorner.
The only time he became a threat was the time when Oyakhilome began to make his relationship with him public. People need to clearly understand that Oyakhilome is the epitome of what is called Christian deception. The story he is telling you that he just met Joshua not so long ago even by the logic is faulty. It is not possible to stake your whole ministry and your relationship with the Christian body of the whole country over a stranger you just met not so long ago. It is because he is involved with him spiritually and materially. The two have been involved in all kinds of money laundering activities. That is where he gets the money to do all he does. It is not the ministry because there is nothing he has achieved in Christian ministry in this country. It was at that point when Oyakhilome came out to validate the ministry of Joshua, that it became necessary to alert the nation that this man is a potential danger.
Q: Is it true that this conflict between you and Oyakhilome goes beyond Joshua? There is this story that there is a tussle over a plot of land and that envy is involved because he performs miracles and you don't.
A: There is something called paralogism, that is, the inability to take a logical conclusion from the beginning to the end in an argument, thus it doesn't make any sense. I have clearly stated from the beginning of our ministry that I don't believe in the concept of multiple churches. Anyone who has listened to me on television will know that when it comes to preaching the Word of God, Oyakhilome is a non-starter. And I say it squarely within the confines of conventional propriety. If he says he has a gift in the realm of miracle, I am not going to contest that because the word of God clearly tells us that we all have different offices. I am a pastor, I teach the Bible. I don't go on crusades. There is no way I'll envy a man who is doing the job that I cannot do and which I am not called to do.

The Bible is clear about it; you can't operate in an office except it is given to you. Look at his church. He does not have more than six plots and you expect me to be envious of him when I have about 10 acres here. If Oyakhilome and I had a problem, why would I open my premises for him to use? Oyakhilome called me a couple of months ago and I thanked God for that. He asked me to grant him access to his church for renovation. And I instructed the people to allow him. It was only after I wrote to him to warn him to stay away from Joshua and he refused that I told my people to seal off the place.

It is on record that people have asked me to open other branches of my church in Lagos and I said no. If I want to open churches because of the crowd that he is talking about I would have done so. I am a better pastor than he is. He calls himself a pastor while in fact, he is an evangelist. A pastor is the one who teaches the Word of God and he can't teach it.

Last year, he wrote to me a letter when he saw our GRACE NIGHT saying that he heard things about Jesus that he had never heard before. He can't deny it. That was how he had the confidence to request that I bring down my fence for him to renovate his church. The truth of the matter is that his friends have asked him why he was putting them through this shame when all he needed do was to have come out to say, 'Look, I am sorry that Joshua and I have been friends. I see him as a minister, maybe there are things that I don't know about him that you people know. But please let us talk about it.' He didn't do that, rather, he became impertinent and gave the impression that we are all against him while the fact is that he is the one against himself.

Q: Going back to Joshua; you accused him of practising Shamanism, etc. How did you know that?
A: You see, that is my job. I have studied the book, I am glad to hear when Oyakhilome came on the television that nobody laid hands on him. This means that he was not properly instructed. The same thing goes for Joshua. The two of them didn't study the Bible formally. They just picked up the Bible, felt the call of God in their lives and went ahead to set up their ministries. The Bible is very clear. 1st, 2nd and 3rd John dealt with Docetic Gnosticism. Note that the Bible was written in the Greek language. That word Docetic is from a man called Cerentus in the early church. Books dealing with the church history have this. Cerentus was later to propound what is to be called the Cerenten heresy. He went around telling people at that time that it is true that Jesus Christ came but that the Christ is a consciousness that came at any time in a generation. That is, Jesus is not the only of His kind.

It was a very serious problem for the church in Jerusalem. That was why John wrote to the church in Ephesus that anybody who brings that concept is the Antichrist. Christ, he said, had come in the flesh and not an apparition as Cerentus said. Anyone who believes in that philosophy is preaching Docetism which means that Christ is an apparition. It is because the man did not study his Bible, this accounts for why he was on the television saying he doesn't know the source of my knowledge.

Joshua is preaching Docetism. Joshua took the name of Jesus, Joshua is Jesus in Hebrew name. Joshua calls himself Emmanuel, that is, 'God with us.' That was what the scriptures said of Jesus who was going to come, that when he comes, he will be Emmanuel; God with us. Joshua now wants to claim that he is another Jesus, he wants to prove that, by asking his people to say 'Emmanuel', pointing to him before giving testimony, meaning in other words, that Joshua is the God with us. But people do not know this because there are too many ignorant people in the body.
They do not study the book therefore they do not know what is going on. So, I told Oyakhilome that you could have been in big business with Joshua, but you can't do that now because the man is calling himself God more or less. And he speaks about the finger of God. This is in the Book of Exodus. But Oyakhilome and Joshua are involved in big business and it would be uncovered very soon as long as Jesus Christ is Lord.

Q: There is this accusation that you use extra-biblical text, that you derive all these big words from those apocryphal books.
A: That is not true; they have seen a man who has spent time studying. In the past, people did not take the word of God seriously. They will just pick a verse and try to interpret it. But when I got born again, I had an encounter with Jesus Christ at the peak of my singing career and when I decided I was going to follow Jesus, I made up my mind I was going to give God more than my best and so I took the time to go back and read up the material available. I studied the Bible because the Bible commanded that we should study the word of God to show ourselves as workmen that are not ashamed but rightly interpreting the word of truth.

If you want to convey the word of God you have to take time to study the word, that is why our programme on television is called' Apocalypse,' that is the first word in the Book of Revelation. It means the unveiling, the revelation. God knew that the Bible would be written in English but then he couldn't have waited for it. But he chose the Greek language because it is much better, grammatically, in its presentation. And it is very concise. What you would say in eight sentences in English, a grammatical expression says it all in Greek. It is the job of a lecturer that lectures in a university to do the research, so also it is for the preacher. Oyakhilome said the reason why I know all these was because I was reading occultic books. It is such a manifestation of abysmal ignorance. It is all in the Bible.

Q: In the first letter you accused Joshua that he wanted to invade your church on Christmas day and assassinate you and even use blackmail. Can you prove those things and how did you know.
A: The police are investigating the matter right now and we have the information that Joshua is very confused about how we got the information. It is like we already knew everything he is planning to do. The police will tell Nigerians how we got the information and what is exactly going on.
Q: Some people say that this conflict is dragging too long. That only God can judge. Joshua even quoted the speech of Gamaliel in the Bible. Some say you should stop quarreling on the pages of newspapers.
A: The people who say that have neither read the Bible nor are they spiritually informed. I told the C-P that Joshua goes around saying that Gamaliel in the Bible stated that if the work that is being done by the disciples is of God, then no man should try to stop them, lest they seem to be fighting with God and that if it is not of God it will eventually peter out. Gamaliel made that statement but it is not a statement of fact. Experience has shown that if you don't fight evil, it will destroy you. If you allow evil to thrive, it has the capacity to swallow up good. Gamaliel's statement was not inspired by God. He just spoke out of sentimental reason to let the disciples go.

The Bible is very clear concerning people like Joshua. It says in the book of Timothy in the first chapter, that their mouth should be stopped. When Jude wrote about them, he used some of the most offensive diatribes that you can ever imagine. These are not small matters. If you don't destroy these people, they will turn into a canker that will destroy the society. It must be clearly understood that I am fighting as a man of God. I am not fighting Oyakhilome, I am not fighting Joshua.
I have a responsibility as a Christian to tell them what is going on just as President Olusegun Obasanjo is fighting corruption at his own level. There is a greater corruption in the spirit realm that is worse than you taking bribe or embezzling government fund. This is talking about eternal damnation that will destroy the spirit, soul and body; and the consequences are eternal. We have a greater responsibility to warn our people. We are dealing with men working under mysticism.

Q: Many have testified to going to Joshua and getting healed. Even foreigners and presidents of nations have testified to Joshua's ability to heal. Could that be a Satan-influenced healing, because many popular members of our society, mostly sportsmen and politicians have testified to Joshua's healing powers. Can there be satanic healings. If there are, how do they happen?
A: In the book of Acts there is a story when Paul and Silas were ministering to some women. There was a young lady there crying out after them saying to the people “These are the men who come from God to show us the way to the Lord.” The woman was pointing at Paul saying to the people if you want to know the real gospel, listen to them. The Bible says she did that for three days. At a point Paul got upset and spoke to the spirit inside her to come out. It is called the spirit of divination. Yet in its manifestation that spirit was corroborating the ministry of Paul and Silas because she was saying these men are genuine. But the Bible tells us he commanded the spirit in that woman to come out, because it is a foul spirit.

What you have in the spirit of the devil are counterfeits. If you have the spirit of healing from God, you have the spirit of healing from the devil. And the spirit of the devil is what Martin Luther called the' Ape of God' It imitates God. There are circum¬stances that Satan set up by himself. He is clever, you need to understand that. Satan has this power to cause a sickness and when he places such illness in a man and that man wants to be healed, he will send him to his own man like Joshua. And Joshua will speak to that illness because it was generated from the kingdom of darkness and it will tell it to go. If you are not aware of these things, you will never know that Joshua is not a man of God.

I explained in the church that the casting out of devil that Joshua does is called occult pacifism. That is, Satan does not cast out Satan; he pacifies the demon in such persons. He appeals to them to remain dormant and they remain so. There is an appearance as if the person afflicted is healed but in the actual fact, the demon causing the illness was just lying dormant. But if you take that person to a Bible preaching church, you will see the re-emergence of such a demon in the person. When Joshua stretches his finger the way he does when healing, it is the "finger of God". It is used to communicate with the spirit. It is an occult term. Some of the people that you say are popular this, popular that, there are many people like Joshua who will show you a case of real healing because they have been planted there by Satan. That is Shamanism. A Shaman is a magician but the difference is that he uses his magic in a healing way in a religious environment. He comes to us like a priest whereas underneath he is a magician.
"... When Joshua stretches his finger the way he does when healing, it is the "finger of God". It is used to communicate with the spirit. It is an occult term. Some of the people that you say are popular this, popular that, there are many people like Joshua who will show you a case of real healing because they have been planted there by Satan. That is Shamanism..."
Q: In the Bible, Jesus commanded evil spirits to come out. In the case of Joshua cant you pray and command the evil spirit in him to come out, instead of engaging in the verbal warfare that some church leaders have described as embarrassing to the church?
A: They are entitled to their opinion and I am not sure they are aware of what danger Joshua is posing to Christendom. You know Joshua is very feared by a lot of people. Because they don't want to come against him, they make a lot of diplomatic statements that would appear that they are neither here nor there but I don't have time for that. The Bible says, 'You the strong ones, you are strong and have overcome the evil one'. There is something about youth that the Lord uses to confront evil. It was a young boy David that God used to confront Goliath.

Q: Can't you cast out the devil out of Joshua?
A: We cannot do that. Let me tell you why that is different. In the case of the lady in the book of Acts, she was just a medium. She had a master who profits from her divination powers. We are dealing with a man who has a will, who has invited demons to live with him, to enable him achieve his own purpose not somebody who is being oppressed like that lady.
We are talking about a man who has consciously accepted the power of Satan in order to work with: the devil. If you go to him and say you demons come out, you are fighting against his will and God doesn't do that. The only people who are ever delivered or who are ever saved are the people who desire. Jesus said whosoever willeth let him come to me. But he will never come and force you. The day Joshua says 'I am tired of the devil, I am fed up,' we can help him.
