A Cursed Generation of Pastors: Is Nigeria’s Rotten Prosperity Movement and Its CZARS/CEOs Ripe for Judgment?
The Zeal of Thine House Hath Eaten Me Up'(John 2:17)
Prophetic Warming for the Nigerian Prosperity church
For over a week now, God has put a burden on me to warn the Nigeria prosperity church. The Nigerian Pentecostal prosperity movement has continued to embrace the rotten prosperity movement. Despite the fact that some pastors in Nigeria have stood up against occultists like T.B Joshua, most of these pastors have been infested by the rotten TBN, American prosperity gospel. Pastors are indulging in political Christianity, greed, self indulgence, fleecing of the flock, sexual abuse, robbery, dirty business dealings, staged miracles and witchcraft etc for filth lucre’s sake. Stop living like kings in the cities and towns while rural Nigeria remains un evangelized. Rural Nigeria like rural Ugandan is still entangled in the bondage of religions such Catholicism, Islam and witchcraft. As pastors enjoy prosperity in the city, poor Nigerians continue to suffer in miserable church structures and immense material and spiritual poverty.
Lies, sex and hypocrisy in Ugandan Pentecostal Churches
http://www.monitor.co.ug/artman/publish/sun_news/Lies_sex_and_hypocrisy_in_Pentecostal_Churches_85741.shtml
If these Nigerian pastors do not repent and forsake political Christianity, the mammon prosperity gospel and its greed promotion and propagation, God is going to expose them just like he has exposed the rotten prosperity Ugandan Movement. This is also a warming to the church in Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa and Africa at large to forsake the rotten prosperity gospel, its greed and scripture twisting ruses for filthy lucre’s sake. God is going to expose all prosperity pastors who refuse to repent. He is going to judge the church leaders and the flock for forsaking sound doctrine for the sake of self indulgence. Pastors are going to be embarrassed in courts of law and in the media for rebellion. Some pastors are going to be imprisoned if they do not forsake greed. Some pastors are going to drop dead if they continue to rebel against the Lord. Rebel and Die.
In Uganda, many prosperity pastors prophesied prosperity and increase this year 2009 but instead the country is wash with; human sacrifice, mob killings, murder, famine(some people have died of famine), sodomy in the church, pastors involved in robbery and theft, rising process of goods and services etc . I call upon the African prosperity church to repent. God is very merciful; he has still left the door of repentance open. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord (Hebrew 10:31). REPENT NIGERIA, REPENT AFRICA.

A PROFILE OF NIGERIA’S FLAMBOYANT PROSPERITY KINGPINS
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Africa’s Benny Hinn
He looks like a matinee idol, dresses like a CEO and speaks with the diction of an airport announcer. And in the estimation of his numerous followers, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome preaches with power and is capable of providing deliverance from all human afflictions.
Since hitting the limelight in the 1990s, the tele-genic Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy, a Pentecostal ministry headquartered in Lagos, has become the face of celebrity Christianity in Nigeria. Simply put, Oyakhilome is glamour and gospel rolled into one. He moves around Lagos in a long convoy of posh automobiles, sirens blaring and shielded by a slew of security men. He also has an intriguing persona. On his birthday, his followers place congratulatory adverts in major newspapers, but none of these has ever revealed his age.
If there are doubts about Oyakhilome's age, there are none about his crowd-pulling power. Among Nigerian Pentecostal pastors, only very few draw bigger crowds than the Edo State-born preacher. His weekly services are said to draw an average of 30,000 faithful, more than some European soccer teams draw for their games. Many of his followers travel from far places, some of which already have satellite arms of the church, just to be in his presence. Oyakhilome's open air crusades attract monstrous attendances.

http://watchmanafrica.blogspot.com/2009/07/faith-healer-or-fake-healer-pastor.html
In March 2002, Lawrence Agada, an assistant pastor who was a cashier with the Lagos Sheraton Hotels and Towers, donated cash and gifts totaling N39 million to the church. Agada's donations were in installments. He bought a 2S0KVA generator valued at N4.4 million, and another 27KVA generator for NI.5 million, which he donated to a satellite branch of the church. Before then, he had given N6 million for the refurbishment of the branch, as well as N1 million for the purchase of plastic seats for the headquarters. Agada also contributed N1million to the success of a mega¬ crusade tagged Night of Bliss. His parish pastor, who had no money for a trip to Australia, was given N400, 000. In appreciation, Oyakhilome wrote Agada: "May God, who gives seed to the sower and bread for eating, multiply your seeds in Jesus name." Rather than receive God's blessings, Agada became a guest of the police when his employers discovered that he had stolen from them to give to the church. Agada's employers also insisted that Oyakhilome should refund the money. But the church issued a statement admitting that Agada made donations, but refused to make a refund.A year later, Gbenga Kehinde, another member, donated to the church in similar circumstances. Then an assistant manager with Eko International Bank, Kehinde stole about N40 million from his employers and donated N 10 million to the church. That also became a messy affair. THE TITHING LIE IN NIGERIAN PENTECOSTAL CHURCHES: TITHING PRIESTS (BORN GAIN SAINTS) INCREDIBLE!!!
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen (Rev.1:6)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; (1 Peter 2:9)
Dear Nigerian saints, the biggest lie in the born again church today is tithing. Pastors always argue that you will be cursed if you do not tithe. Tithing like Sabbath keeping and circumcision of the flesh is part and parcel of the mosaic law. Under the new covenant, we are supposed to give and not tithe. Isn’t it amazing that the book of acts lacks a single mention of the word tithing. The bible calls born again believers priests (1 Peter 2:9, Rev. 1:6). How can a priest pay tithes??? The purpose of tithing is to defraud born again saints. Tithing traps born again believers into the curse of the law. AMEN
"TITHING" IS NOT FOR CHRISTIANS

THE DAY KENYA ROSE AGAINST THE ROTTEN PROSPERITY GOSPEL
http://watchmanafrica.blogspot.com/2009/07/day-kenya-rose-against-rotten.html
Pastor Enoch Adeboye
Referred to as "The doyen of Pentecostal preachers," Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is one of the first who saw the visions of a lucrative market in religion, before it got overcrowded
by rivals. He started his Holy Ghost Congress church in 1986. After surveying the scene of his country, beset by crime, corruption and political strife, he saw a colossal sea of spiritual possibilities ready for his taking.
Adeboye's style is more laid-back. He dresses simply, speaks softly, but arrests almost effortlessly the attention of the rich and the poor. Under Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., the RCCG, which was founded in 1952 by the late Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, has grown exponentially.
In 1981, when Adeboye took over, the ministry had a few dozen parishes. It is currently Nigeria's most ambitious evangelical project, establishing, according to the church, three parishes daily. It has an estimated 200 parishes in the USA. It also has in about 90 nations across Africa and Europe . It is easily the fastest growing church in the world. Every parish established within one year sends 10 per cent of its tithes and offerings to the headquarters.
Those that have existed for between one and two years remit 15 per cent of such, while older ones remit 20 per cent. Last July, the church announced its plans to build a 10,000-capacity sanctuary in Floyd, Texas, USA. The is to be built on 500 acres of land bought at a cost of $1million. The land will also have two lecture theatres, a dormitory, cottages, lake and a Christian the med park.
Back home, the church's might is unmissable. There is a parish within every five-minute drive, or in some cases less than that radius. But the church's most famous landmark is the Redemption Camp, a monstrously vast acreage located on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
It hosts the monthly camp meeting called Holy Ghost Night which, according to the church, attracts crowds of between 800,000 and 1.2 million. Held on the first Friday of every month, the night long programme offers worshippers an avenue to ask God for their desires; and the church, an opportunity to boost its finances. About 20,000 ushers with polythene bags move round the huge crowd, taking offerings and other monetary pledges.
The camp also hosts the Holy Ghost congress, the church's biggest event of the year. The congress, which holds every December, is a three-day affair which draws RCCG members from Nigeria and outside, as well as from other denominations. In 1998, it assumed a bigger dimension, with the successful hosting of Lekki '98 at Lekki Beach , Lagos .

Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Ministries a.k.a. Winners' Chapel. Situated in Ota, Ogun State , the six¬sided church-named Shiloh or Faith Tabernacle has a capacity of 50,000 worshippers and features a 5,000-strong choir. In Lagos, members are given free bus rides to the church.
Famous as the Faith Tabernacle is, it is just one structure on a vast tract of land known as Canaanland. Also situated in Canaanland is the Covenant University, of which Oyedepo is chancellor; a secondary and a primary school.
The primary school named Kingdom Heritage, charges N10,000 as tuition fee per term for its kindergarten class and N7, 000 for its upper classes. It has branches in 12 other Nigerian cities. The secondary school, named Faith Academy, charges N 150,000 per session. The university charges different fees in its three different colleges. Students at the College of Human Development pay N228, 000 per year; those at the College of Business and Social Sciences pay N238, 000, while their counterparts at the College of Science and Technology pay N250, 000.
Lecturers housed by the university also pay rents deductible from source. Assistant lecturers pay N100, 000 annually on two-bedroom flats, while senior lecturers pay N240, 000 for three-bedroom flats. Aside from the funds realisable from these sources, it is the duty of members in all branches of the church to con¬tribute towards the development of the university.
Members of the church call themselves Winners, an allusion to their perceived victory over poverty, demons and disease. Oyedepo, affectionately called Papa, is an exponent of prosperity preaching. According to him, it was while on a trip to Tulsa in the United States, during the 1980s, that God said: "Make my people rich."
The church auditorium, which took just one year to build, is touted as the world's biggest church building. During construction, carried out by architects and engineers who are members of the church and who worked for free, a trailer was said to have made a smooth U-turn inside the hall without having to engage the reverse gear.

"Rev" Archbishop Benson Idahosa
"Rev" Archbishop Benson Idahosa of Benin City, Nigeria was something of a sinister minister. Alive, his famous mantra was "My God is not a poor God," and encouraged his worshippers to show off their wealth. He used to deride those who dressed "poorly" to go tochurch, telling them that God does not like the poor. He wore the most expensive lace Agbadas, and built the most costly edifice for worship in GRA, Benin City. He was one of the first Evangelists who diversified his investments by opening schools and hospitals in Nigeria - all tax free, but for which he charged very high fees(http://village.africanpath.com).
Pastor Chris Okotie:
A trained lawyer and pop idol of the 1980s, Okotie's Household of God Church in Lagos is located in a former Warehouse he bought for N40 million and converted into a sumptuous building mirroring his taste. With its marble clad front walls, reflecting glass windows and well-tended decorative plants, it is regarded as one of Nigeria 's most beautiful church buildings.
Though not of spectacular size, it offers a swishy ambience for worshippers. The auditorium is air-conditioned and will decorated. Okoties' office on the upper deck of the building has covered walls, a guitar and giant portrait of Muhammad Ali. His congregation largely consists of young company executives and well educated businessmen.
Okotie's teaching are delivered in high-sounding grammar, earning him accusations of promoting style over substance. But he has always been a man of style. He is a chic dresser, a lover of fancy automobiles and when driving on Lagos roads, he is provided security cover by armed police men.
He also owns a gun, which he acquired after a robbery attack on his home in the upscale Opebi area. The former pop star has an impressive dog kennel, featuring various breeds. At the end of every year, he holds an awards ceremony Karis Awards.
The award, which carries a cash prize of N500,000, is given to aged persons who have distinguished themselves in public life. Mrs. Magret Ekpo and Hajiya Gambo Sawaba have been beneficiaries. The ceremony also attracts top politicians. The last edition was chaired by Deputy Senate President, Alhaji Ibrahim Mantu. Then, Okotie is also a politician. He contested the last presidential election and has already declared his interest in the next one.
Okotie's major companion may be the N\Bible, but he is also within a touching distance of controversy. Separated from his wife, Tina for many years he is often romantically landed with every available beauty queen and beautiful celebrity women, many of who are members of his church.
Okotie also has a reputation for taking on other pastors. In 2001, he accused Chris Oyakhilome of fetish practices because Oyakhilome visited Prophet. T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations. The same year, he released a book, The Last Outcast, which many branded heretical. Yet it was feverishly bought and sold by his followers.
His property portfolio is impressive. A few years ago, Okotie bought the huge stretch of land opposite his church, making him the owner of virtually everything on the street, named after his church. His roots in music have not withered. He released an album in 2001. His ministry, whoever, has just one parish.
Okotie's reason for opposing spread is that it is through church branches that doctrines are corrupted. http://www.elifeonline.net/elife7-july-august/great-pastors.htm

USING THE DEVIL TO PERFORM MIRACLES: EXPOSING THE OCCULTISM AND SHAMANISM OF PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA
http://watchmanafrica.blogspot.com/2009/07/using-devil-to-perform-miracles.html
Those who have watched the video of T.B. Joshua's ministry, have good cause to be alarmed. In addition to the gross sight of people in the service coming forward to vomit, women squatting at the front of the meeting to pass blood, urine and large worms, exposure of breasts and genitals, there is also a demonstration of this man's control over people.
Many fall down at the sweep of his hand yet remain some distance away, others are unable to move, others are forced to move at his beckoning, some stagger like drunks and fall down. Can this be of God?
As human beings we are suggestible, it is part of our psyche, our nature. One person yawns many curiously follow, if a person is light hearted and full of fun others follow,' it rubs off' we say. But the mind can go much further into what is known as an altered state of consciousness (ASC), which can be broken into four categories:
• Natural: e.g. sleep or daydreaming "being miles away". (Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzer and Daniel had dreams)
• Traumatic, resulting in fainting, an extreme state of shock, hysterical reaction, deep depression or coma
• Induced, by anaesthetics, drugs, repetitive music and flashing lights, transcendental meditation, yoga
The practice of hypnosis can be traced back to the ancient Egyptians. Shamans and witch doctors practice it and hypnosis has always been associated with the occult and pagan religions. Hypnosis was never practised in the Old Testament and from early times Christianity has regarded it as from the devil. However Franz Anton Mesmer gave it some respectability and from the 18th century some as a pseudo science has generally regarded it.
Many people will have seen on T.V. evangelists programmes, others witnessed during Christian meetings or conferences, people being "slain in the Spirit", falling to the ground and experiencing a variety of feelings. Proponents of this so called ministry have recorded peoples feelings and sometimes of their own experience as they have been subjected to the same prayer procedure, in publications such as Power Healing by John Wimber: Overcome By The Spirit by Francis McNutt; When Jesus Passed by Charles and Francis Hunter; How To Keep Your Healing by Kenneth Hagin and many others. Pastor Lanrewaju Obembe
Pastor Lanrewaju Obembe uses commercial lingo to attract people to his church. He tells them in a recorded message on his website that God is rebranding them, from nobody, to somebody. And in Nigeria where position counts more than morality, this is a powerful message to lure people to him for guidance. He was one of the "surrogate evangelists, during the botched visit of Benny Hinn to Nigeria (http://village.africanpath.com).
Last year, the Nigerian Pentecostal circuit was rocked by allegations of fraud over an unsuccessful crusade held by famous American evangelist, Benny Hinn. The American preacher committed $4 million into the project. The money was handled by a local organising committee headed by Bishop Lanre Obembe of the El-Shaddai Bible Church.
Despite the huge financial outlay, attendance at the crusade was measly. An enraged Hinn did not hide his disappointment. This led to the establishment of a committee to probe the development. The committee, made up of members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), recommended the suspension of Obembe for financial impropriety. Obembe rejected the report, causing another panel to be raised. That also suspended him(http://www.elifeonline.net/elife7-july-august/richest-pastors.htm) .
Bishop Mike Okonkwo
Pastor Michael Okonkwo rises from his gold-coated throne before 4,000 onlookers in Lagos, Nigeria. "Hallelujah!" bellows the self-proclaimed "father of fathers, pastor of pastors," wearing a glittery green gown. The crowd stands and roars.
A 62-year-old former banker and graduate of the Morris Cerullo School of Ministry in San Diego, California, Okonkwo touts a seminar called "Financial Intelligence"; if you've missed it, he encourages you to buy the tapes. Okonkwo describes the "intelligence" he preaches in his book Controlling Wealth God's Way: "[M]any are ignorant of the fact that God has already made provision for his children to be wealthy here on earth. When I say wealthy, I mean very, very rich. … Break loose! It is not a sin to desire to be wealthy."

Reverend" Ayo Oritsejafor- He owns the World Of Life Bible church Warri He too maintains a healthy relation with the "moneyed class" and the influential people of Nigeria. Here below, he is flanked by Lucky Igbenedion , the Governor of Edo State (http://village.africanpath.com).
"Reverend" Mathew Ashimolowo
"Reverend" Mathew Ashimolowo a Nigerian preacher was initially based in London, where he had amassed a large fortune, largely from the immigrant community of Nigerians. Not too long after his arrival from his own country, his lavish lifestyle attracted the attention of the British Authorities(http://village.africanpath.com) .
An accomplished motivational speaker with tremendous following and a glamorous lifestyle. Ashimolowo is a prolific writer, who teaches that faith brings wealth. He is also popular for recorded sermons which are bought even by members of other denominations.
Formerly based in the United kingdom Ashimolowo's church Kingsway International Christian Center (KICC), is one of the biggest in England, Established 20 years ago in London, with a congregation of 17, the church has 12,000 members. It also has branches in Accra and Lagos, where he currently resides. Early July, 2006, a new branch was dedicated in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Ashimolowo left Britain in 2002, following allegations of tax evasion and mismanagement leveled against him by the British Charity Commission. He was accused of living in a rent–free house owned by a charity organization established by him, and of using the charity's credit charity to buy a timeshared property in Florida, United States .
A timeshare is an arrangement under which joint owners have rights to a property to be used as a holiday home. Ashimolowo was said to have received 120,000 pounds as a birthday gift and spent 80,000 pounds on a Mercedes. The Charity Commission's investigations also concluded that the church had mismanaged its 8.5 million income and that its leaders personal interests conflict with their duties. Investigations added that the assets of Ashimolowo's charity were not used for the purposes stated in its registration.
In addition, the pastor and his wife were alleged to have receive tithes totaling 384,000 between October 1992 and September 2000. Of this 338,334 was paid into the account of one of his companies for “pastoral services."
The church was eventually taken over by receivers, who found boxes containing cash, cheques and invoices being loaded into a car. Last year, the charity was handed the control of the church, making it a charitable company rather than a trust. The new arrangement stipulates that Ashimolowo pay back 200,000 pounds.
Prior to the crisis, the church was controlled by a pastoral board which included Ashimolowo and his wife, Yemisi. In an address to his congregation, Ashimolowo admitted that the church made a couple of mistakes in its transactions, but insisted no fraud was found.
He said if fraud had been found, the church would have been closed down rather than re-opened under a new administrative structure. The pastor is now planning to build a 10,000- capacity auditorium on a land allocated to the 2012 Olympic games. http://www.elifeonline.net/elife7-july-august/great-pastors.htm
Bimbo Odukoya
Bimbo Odukoya is the leading female preacher in Nigeria. By the way, Bimbo is her real name, not a title. However operating a dating website does not exactly dispel the doubts about the type of woman she is. Whether she's a preacher or prostitution promoter (http://village.africanpath.com).
Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai
Ministering at the crusade titled “Total Victory” was Uma Ukpai, firebrand televangelist and founder of Uma Evangelistic Association, Uyo.
The large turn-out of worshippers at the crusade was a clear indication that Ukpai is one of Nigeria ’s best and most sought-after preachers noted for miracles and fighting demonic forces. In the night of November 24, which was the last day of the crusade, Ukpai preached a sermon on divine favours and asked worshippers who were all armed with white handkerchiefs as he instructed, to raise them so that he would speak divine anointing into them for their miracles. This, he said, was in line with biblical injunctions in the Acts of the Apostles 19:12 where God worked miracles through Paul by placing handkerchiefs on the sick. http://www.newswatchngr.com/editorial/allaccess/2002/16122002/cover11215195508.htm
