And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.( Jeremiah 3:15)

In Uganda where I come from, the news papers are awash with homosexuality among Pentecostal pastors. Some naïve religious ‘Christians’ use this as an axcuse to remain in their religions. Some catholic clergy are using this opportunity to deceive people that ‘tova muddini yo’( do not leave your religion). These homosexual devils from the pit of hell have infiltrated all religious denominations. Recently in Ireland, the Ryan commission issued a report about the sex abuse scandals that the catholic church has been hiding for over 60 years. The catholic controlled media in Uganda is silent about this scandal.

How the homosexuals stealthily infiltrated the church

These gay daughters and sons of Lucifer are very ‘smart’; they have been planning for years. One of their major moves was to change the bible so that it becomes pro- homosexuality. Remember, the devil knows that once you take the WORD away from Christians you have got them.

Sodomite chairman on NIV committee

Lesbian was a literary critic for the NIV

Why isn't the word "sodomite" in the NIV?

Dr James White and his King James onlyism fallacy

Below I examine how the devil is trying to compromise God's stand on Homosexuality. Homosexuality has always been and will always be an abomination before God. See, how the translations are very different.

Look at these verses in King James version

And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.(I Kings 14:24)

And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. (I Kings 15:12)

And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land(I Kings 22:46)

Look at the same verses in the Counterfeit New king James Version

And there were also perverted persons in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.(I Kings 14:24)

And he banished the perverted persons from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.(I Kings 15:12)

And the rest of the perverted persons, who remained in the days of his father Asa, he banished from the land(I Kings 22:46)

Look at the same verses in the counterfeit NIV

There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites .(I Kings 14:24)

He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his fathers had made .(I Kings 15:12 )

He rid the land of the rest of the male shrine prostitutes who remained there even after the reign of his father Asa (I Kings 22:46 )

Look at the same verses in the counterfeit NASB

1 Kings 14:24 (New American Standard Bible)
24There were also male cult prostitutes in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

1 Kings 15:12 (New American Standard Bible)
12(He also put away the male cult prostitutes from the land and removed all the idols which his fathers had made.

1 Kings 22:46 (New American Standard Bible)

46The remnant of the sodomites who remained in the days of his father Asa, he expelled from the land.

1 Kings 14:24 , the KJV uses the Word Sodomites, the NIV uses male shrine prostitutes and the NASB uses male cult prostitutes. It is ridiculous to deduce that they are all good. How can they be equally good when they are giving different translations? Even a 12 year old child can see that these bibles are talking different things and can not equally be uncorrupted.

Paul's statement in Romans 1:18-32 has been taken as the strongest New Testament rejection of homosexuality. He is concerned about the influence of the pagan culture on the Roman Christians. After giving a detailed description of a world that “exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator,” he continues, “Therefore, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lusts for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty of their perversion.”

A complete reading of these passages, in their original context, clearly shows that what Paul was actually referring to was homosexual temple prostitution, which was performed by various cults (though far more cults used heterosexual prostitution). Again, Paul is not referring to same-sex love, and he clearly has no concept of persons for whom this lifestyle is “natural.”

Paul's other reference to homosexual acts in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 is similar to 1 Timothy 1:8-11. These two passages contain lists of persons to be excluded from the Realm of God. The interpretation of these passages depends on two Greek words that have always presented a problem for translators. In the King James Version, they are translated “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind.” In the Revised Standard Version, they were combined and rendered as “homosexuals,” however, these are not the Greek words for homosexual, so these translations reflects the scholars' bias. The New International Version illustrates the difference in these two words by translating them “male prostitute” and “homosexual offenders.” The Jerusalem Bible uses the terms “catamites and “sodomites.” Catamites were youth kept especially for sexual purpose, who were usually paid large sums of money. Neither passage refers to persons of same-sex orientation but to people who used their sexuality for personal gain.

Do not be fooled buy the KJV onlyism , it is simply an error in reasoning. I urge you to start advocating for the translation of the received and masoretic text in your language. I play that we shall have a bible in Swahili and Luganda based on received and the masoretic text soon.

God bless you.

Nigeria: Pastor in Police Net for Sexual Abuse

Nigeria: Pastor in Police Net for Sexual AbuseBy Esther Eziashi

A pastor in Love and Faith Bible a Church in Lagos has been nabbed by the police for allegedly engaging in homosexual act with six teenage boys who live in the same neighbourhood with him.

The suspect, Ugo Chima, 44 ministered at Love and Faith Bible Church, Buba Marwa Street, Ijegun, Satellite Town.

It was gathered that he had engaged in homosexual acts with them on different occasions since July 2007.

Pastor Chima lured his victims into the act by promising them that he would purchase GSM handsets for them as long as they kept mute about the whole episode.

It was learnt that the boys, whose ages ranged from 13-19 have made statements incriminating him.

The pastor, who is said to be married with children, was said to have sucked his victims' manhood until they 'released', after which he used a tissue paper to clean up and hide the tissue paper securely.

Mr. Frank Mba, the public relations officer of Lagos State police command confirmed the story, but said that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal and Investigations Department (SCID) for further investigation as the suspect is already in police detention.

Pastor Remanded for Defiling 8 Teenagers

May 22, 2007

An Accra Regional Tribunal has remanded a head pastor accused of defiling eight teenage girls within seven months.

The Pastor, James Nana Akwasi Agyemang who is also a herbalist, between May and December, 2006 at Dome in Accra, allegedly had sex with the girls between ages three and 12, in his bedroom and bathroom.

The accused pleaded not guilty to eight counts of defilement of a female under 16 years, contrary to Section 101(2) of Act 29/60, as amended by Section 11 of Act 554/98.

Prosecuting, Mrs Evelyn D Keelson, told the tribunal chaired by Mr Justice Frank Manu that Agyemang lives at Dome in Accra, while the two complainants are pastors in Agyemang's church.

Mrs Keelson said the Head Pastor had the church's Headquarters in Accra, with a branch in Cote d'Ivoire and that he used herbs to help him cure ailments. He had also established a school on the basis of a non-governmental organization (NGO), where he offered scholarships to brilliant but needy children.

She said as a result of the church's mission to assist members, residents in the community and his foreign branch, he managed to bring children from the Abidjan branch to Ghana in order for him to fulfill his objectives of offering scholarships to them.

According to the prosecutor, the complainants whose children were among those under the care of the Head Pastor, had their children falling victim of the accused person's wicked intentions to defile them.

Mrs Keelson said one of the church members from Abidjan visited her younger sister at the Headquarters. The sister disclosed to her that the accused had sex with her in his bathroom, adding that the mother came to Ghana to lodge a complaint to the police when she got the information.

Opposing a bail application by Agyemang's counsel, the prosecutor told the tribunal that defilement was one of the cases that bail should not be granted.

Putting up a brief defence, Agyemang's counsel stated that the two complainants concocted the story against his client.

Counsel described the situation as unfortunate. He said: "Some of the said victims came with their grandmothers to my office and told me that the story was framed up."

150 Priests Faced Sex Probe

News 24 (South Africa)
November 11, 2008,,2-10-1462_2422934,00.html

Dublin - More than 150 Roman Catholic priests and members of religious orders have been probed over allegations of child sex abuse in the last 68 years in Ireland's biggest archdiocese, new figures showed on Friday.

The details were released in a statement from the Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin as closed official hearings continue into how the church managed the abuse.

He reiterated an appeal for anyone with information about child sexual abuse by priests in Dublin to make contacts with the child protection service of the diocese, the police and the health authority.

"It is only by knowing the full truth of the past (that) we can improve the levels of safety for children today," Martin said.

The church in mainly Roman Catholic Ireland has been rocked by the scale of the sex abuse scandals.

So far eight priests from the diocese have been convicted in the criminal courts and three others are currently facing charges.

The statement said sex abuse allegations have been made against 140 clergy, with suspicions having been raised in 12 other cases.

"The diocese also possesses information regarding allegations of sexual abuse where, despite close liaison with the civil authorities, it has not been possible to identify the priest concerned," the statement said.

Some 400 people have been identified who have either complained or are known or suspected to have suffered child sexual abuse by priests in Dublin.

"It is most likely that this is not a final figure," the statement adds.

In 2005, a watershed judicial inquiry into another Irish diocese - Ferns in the south-east of the country - reported on about 100 complaints of child sex against at least 21 priests there.

It was the first time the Irish state had ever investigated any aspect of how the once-powerful church is run.

In 1999, former Prime Minister Bertie Ahern delivered an unprecedented apology to victims on behalf of the state.

Born-Again in Christ and Proud to Be So

Born-Again in Christ and Proud to Be So

Uganda — After reading Fr Larry Kanyike's Opinion Article, "Is Jesus for sale" (SM, July 22).I thought I should respond. I am a born-again Ugandan Christian, working as a missionary in California. I feel so ashamed about what has been going on within the Balokole church in Uganda.

I have long admired Fr Kanyike since my Makerere University days because I respected him as a person who speaks out against political and social injustices. But I never knew that he was a very intolerant, religious segregationist.

True, some pastors of some of the Balokole churches have been crooked. They ought to be sent to Luzira prison for a minimum of 14 years. Jesus said, "many will come in my name saying we drove out demons, spoke in tongues, etc, but I will say unto them, I never knew you, away from me you workers of iniquity."

Back to Fr Kanyike, it is interesting reading how he talked of ecclesial communities, primacy of originality, etc. But he do not tell us that the Catholic church presided over some of the most murderous like regimes in world history.

The Vatican Secretary signed a concordance with Adolf Hitler July 20, 1933. It was only because the church did not gain as much as they thought they would that they fell out with Hitler in 1944. Five years after the start of the war.

Why does Fr Kanyike think Protestants broke off from the Catholic community in the 1440s, if it was not because people were being ripped off by the church, through corruption, blackmail and manipulation? The so-called indulgences.

People who studied European history know that the injustices by the Catholic church was one of the causes of the French Revolution. Sexual abuse cases by the Catholic priests a many.

Just a week ago, Cardinal Maloney of the Los Angeles Catholic Diocese(Los Angeles, California), the biggest and richest diocese in the United States, presided over the biggest payout compensation for people who had been sexually molested by priests. It was more than S600 million. But can that buy back the dignity of a little boy who has been raped.

I wonder whether Fr Kanyike read Pope Benedict XIV's apostolic constitution Sacramentum Poenitentiae of 1741. That is how far back the recorded issue of priests molesting altar boys goes.

Did you also know that it was reported that for a very long time, some of the Catholic clergy participated in homosexual molestation of young boys, this they considered a religious rite, a rite of passage for altar boys and young priests.

In May 2001, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and later elected Pope Benedict XVI on the death of his predecessor Pope John Paul II, sent a letter to all Catholic Bishops declaring that the Church's investigations into claims of child sex abuse were subject to the pontifical secret and were not to be reported to law enforcement until investigations were completed, on pain of excommunication.

Tell me what this is if it is not a means of covering up the church's sins

And will Fr Kanyike tell us why on March 25, 1992 Pope John Paul II wrote the apostolic exhortation Pastores Dabo Vobes, one of the longest papal documents in history?

And finally, the Kibwetere issue. The worst mass murder committed on a single day in the history of Uganda. Much worse than even the LRA rebels' atrocities. Hey, they were Catholics.

Being a member of the Uganda Joint Christian Council is not what makes you a Christian. And concerning being tax exempt, how about all the churches stop being tax exempt and we see who would be the greatest losers. If you want others to be tax exempt, let us play fair and we say we are all no longer tax exempt. Maybe then shall we realise how our existence is grounded.

So please, before you go about bragging of having primacy of originality in its fullness, take a look within and see if the "Original Primate" if that is what I should call your all powerful church is doing it right and think of why you are losing your congregation to these non-churches you talk about.

I hate what is going on in some of these Balokole churches and I pray that those people are arrested and treated with the ridicule that they deserve and if it were left to me, I would pronounce life imprisonment for these thugs-cum-pastors. But I will always be proud of my born-again heritage and I am proud of my pastors at all the pastors out there who are teaching people the truth of the gospel and impacting the community with love and self sacrifice, not greed and power struggle

I am proud to be a born again Christian, will always be.

Irish abuse report is 'shocking'

BBC news

Dr Noel Treanor made the comments to a congregation in Carryduff
The Bishop of Down and Connor has apologised to all victims of child sex abuse by the Catholic church.

Dr Noel Treanor was speaking after a report last week said thousands had been abused over 60 years.

He said the report was "heartbreaking" and had recorded cruelty and abuses which were "criminal and sinful."

But Dr Treanor said the church was addressing the "evil", adding that the Down and Connor diocese now had robust child protection measures in place.

"I state my sorrow, shame and visceral pain in the face of these and all abuses inflicted on children and vulnerable adults, whenever they took place, wherever they are perpetrated," he told a congregation in Carryduff on Sunday.

"I apologise on behalf of the church to all who are victims of abuse on the part of those who professed to care for them, or minister to them, in the name of Christ.

"I apologise, too, for the failure of those in positions of leadership in the Church to deal with the abusers."

The victims of child abuse by religious orders were among 35,000 children who were placed in a network of reformatories, industrial schools and workhouses until the early 1990s.

Abuse at Catholic institutions was investigated

More than 2,000 people told the Commission to Inquire Into Child Abuse they suffered physical and sexual abuse as children in the institutions.

The commission found that sexual abuse was "endemic" in boys' institutions, and church leaders knew what was going on.

Dr Treanor said: "As we grasp the extent and dimensions of this evil that has been at work within the church, we have to recognise that as a church in particular, and as society, and as individuals, we stand in need of chastening our moral and personal radar.

"Anger, indifference, denial, washing one's hands of guilt, like Pilate, if partly comprehensible as reactions, will not suffice on the part of anyone."

The Irish deputy prime minister called the abuse of children in Catholic-run institutions as one of the "darkest chapters" in Irish history.

The leader of the Catholic Church in Ireland, Cardinal Sean Brady, said anyone responsible for the abuse should be held to account.

The report, nine years in the making and covering a period of six decades, also found government inspectors failed to stop beatings, rapes and humiliation.

The findings will not be used for criminal prosecutions.

How institutions can perish

The Irish Times

PUBLIC OUTRAGE over the picture of brutality, sadism, sexual abuse and repression in Ireland’s industrial schools and reformatories run by Catholic congregations is intensifying following last week’s remarkable report by the Ryan commission.
It is stoked by the flat refusal of the 18 orders involved to reopen the compensation and indemnity agreement they signed with the government in 2002. Their clumsy and self-serving efforts to protect their own interests are rapidly alienating whatever limited support they have. They have failed to see the central importance of saying sorry to the victims and taking the full consequences of their actions and responsibilities. This is how institutions perish.

The gross imbalance which leaves the State paying 90 per cent of the €1.3 billion settlements is indefensible. The deal should be renegotiated, as called for by Cardinal Seán Brady and Archbishop Diarmuid Martin. The Government’s initial defensive argument that this can only be done voluntarily is just as insensitive to public opinion and short-sighted as the orders. That position too is shifting, as was signalled from the special Cabinet meeting last evening. The cosy, secretive and deferential manner in which the agreement was concluded seven years ago ill becomes a modern republican democracy. Revisiting it in light of the Ryan report and the angry public reaction would be in the best interests of church, State and citizens alike. Political and moral pressure to do this should be intensified.

Church a 'disgrace', says anxious priest

Irish Independent
Sunday May 24 2009
A prominent priest and sociologist believes that the Irish church is a "disgrace" and has not expressed proper regret at last week's revelations in the Ryan Report.
"It's just a continuation of the head-down attitude that so many have adopted in the clergy," says Fr Gearoid O Donnchadha from Fenit, Co Kerry.
"It's no bigger than any of the other scandals that have happened before and I don't think the revelations of the Ryan Report have changed things so much. We're a disgrace," he says.

Church has paid billions to victims all around world

Irish Independent
By Grainne Cunningham
Tuesday May 26 2009
MOST other countries where the Roman Catholic Church was responsible for child abuse have already dealt with the issue of compensating the victims.
In the United States alone, dioceses have paid out more than $2bn (€1.42bn) to settle legal actions, forcing some dioceses to sell off their entire assets and declare bankruptcy.
An audit into America's 300 plus dioceses was conducted by the College of Criminal Justice at John Jay University in New York and published in 2004.

The ‘gods’ must be crazy: Since when Did Redpepper fall in Love with Pastor Robert Kayanja$$$????

Let God be true and everyman a lair (Romans 3:4)

Uganda’s notorious pornographic news tabloid, the Red pepper was very critical and sensationalistic about Pastor Isaac Kiwewesi’s sodomy allegations. In fact, despite threats by Pastor Isaac Kiwewesi to retract their stories, this tabloid stuck to its guns.

Pastor threatens to sue Ugandan tabloid for defamation, but the tabloid sticks to its guns

Police Clears Pastor Robert Kayanja of Sodomy; Did He 'Bribe' Police$$$$$???

While explaining to his church members about Pastor Kiwewesi’s sodomy saga in an article titled, ‘’ A time of reflection and repentance’’on his website (see full article below), Pastor Robert Kayanja wrote :

‘’I pray that God by His supernatural power He will resolve these things and He'll get all the glory and all the praise. But meanwhile we are praying, and secondly I'll admonish you that don't just believe what the press writes. Remember, Red Paper stands as a pornographic paper, we used to demonstrate against it. And so when they write anything, don't just rash to it and read’’.

He is telling his followers not to trust the red pepper, but in a surprising turn of events. He is using this tabloid to defend him self. In fact it was reported that he went to the Red pepper offices to defend him self. Is something cooking here$$$$$ (see red Pepper stories in defense of Pastor Kayanja below). Today the redpepper ran a story that Mukisa(the child who alleges that he was sodomised by Pastor Kayanja) is lying about his names. They have even featured a lady who has alleged that Mukisa’s parents did not pass way. This lady says that she is the biological mother of Mukisa. She has come to the defense of Pastor Kayanja whom she claims is being framed by pastor Kyazze.

A time of reflection and repentance. downloaded on 29th April, 2009)

Dear partner, this is my communication to you concerning the issue we've been having at Kansaga Miracle Centre. First and foremost, we apologize for the incident and the way it happened. We always want to hear good news from our churches, ministries, especially those we support, so this was bad news that came but everything works together for good. God causes things (that the enemy intends to use to hurt us) to turn out for good.

Having said that, I seriously believe that Pastor Kiwewesi of Kasanga Miracle Centre and all of us from Miracle Centre Churches have learnt something. You know, in the past three months we've been engaged in back to back meetings. We were in Mbarara, Masindi, and on the way from Mbarara (a meeting which was very fantastic), we nearly lost 60 members in a bus accident that was unprecedented and we had to airlift some of them in order to save their lives. Thereafter we left for Burundi, some of our team members there(and more so Pastor Bukuru) had an accident but God brought us back safe and then we embarked on Fort portal and then to Malaysia.

I was in Malaysia with my wife when all this began to happen. We then went to Australia as well as the U.S and then back. I really believe Satan is not happy with what we are doing, but we also need to put in place certain things so that we can see danger coming ahead of us. The only way we can do it is by working out the Bible verse (2Chro 7:14 kjv)that says; (If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ).That is why we Miracle Centre churches are in repentance, we are churches seeking God. As you get this mail, we are praying constantly seeking the face of God. We believe that if we seek the Lord and humble ourselves, the Lord will help us.

Sometimes the Lord does not see things the way we see them. So He requires us to be humble, He requires us to seek His face and pray, that’s why we are praying because every time you launch out a big attack, you must have a big base so that you can come back and do that (attack). That's why for the next ten days it’s Rosh Hashanah (a Jewish word which means the day of repentance, reflection but also the day of atonement which means dedication). We are praying that God will have mercy on Miracle Centre. For we believe we're under a serious attack. There’s a conspiracy that has been going on for some time trying to blackmail; a smear campaign of totally aimed at destroying Miracle Centre churches, thinking that the members of the church will run away, thinking that the churches will go under, thinking that the church will lose the position God has given it in the land.

But whatever the enemy brings our way, we will deal with it as apostle Paul did when he went to the Island of Melita, and a viper had jumped onto his hand. He shook it off into the fire and the whole village was healed (Act 28:1). Whatever Satan has brought our way, we are going to use it to bring more righteousness and holiness, to preach the message of the cross and bring more people to the kingdom of God. Because then, everybody will like to see who these people are. We pray for Pastor Kiwewesi and the people of Kasanga Miracle Centre to be able to come through this thing victoriously but also pray for the young man-Arinaitwe that God will also minister to him and meet him at his point of need, because God loves all of us. He was a member of the church and so when somebody has been at your church (4yrs) that long, and he later falls out that way, that's not God's work, that's the devil's plan. God does not want us to break relationships, God does not want us to be in a place for some time and then leave as enemies. I pray that God by His supernatural power He will resolve these things and He'll get all the glory and all the praise. But meanwhile we are praying, and secondly I'll admonish you that don't just believe what the press writes. Remember, Red Paper stands as a pornographic paper, we used to demonstrate against it. And so when they write anything, don't just rash to it and read. Because listen to the story of Joseph, the woman had evidence in her hand, the garment of Joseph. Joseph was charged as a rapist, thrown in prison, but this is not the truth. You see it's not only what they say until you hear the other side. So I pray that God will give you an understanding and a spirit of discernment that when something comes, about somebody, about me or about you, all of us shall take a pause and listen to someone else before we draw our conclusion. Jesus is Lord and I pray the grace of God will protect you and guide you. Please pray for Miracle Centre Churches, we are under severe attack and the enemy has designed out a conspiracy, but we believe that God has already delivered us because the Pastors of all our Miracle Centre Churches are praying and fasting this week at Miracle Centre Cathedral; repenting, believing God that He'll stop the onslaught of the enemy and free God's people. Also do remember Ps Jackson Ssenyonga and pray for him as well, and many many other men and women of God around the world who are going through situations that you cannot and may not understand. But by God's grace, we are more than conquerors, thank you for being a partner and visiting our mail often, God bless.

Four Pastors Face Arrest Over Sodomy

Pastors Michael Kyazze, Martin Ssempa, Moses Solomon Male and Bob Kayiira are today likely to become Luzira inmates over the infamous allegations made on the person of Rubaga Miracle Center’s Pastor Robert Kayanja.
The five are expected to report today at Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) headquarters in Kibuli. They are expected to be grilled by senior Detectives before being produced in Court over charges of conniving to give false information to the Police.

Speaking to journalists yesterday at Kibuli, the CID Director, Edward Ochom said the Kayanja accusers will have to answer charges of giving wrong information to Police thereby putting the force’s image at stake. Ochom’s unusually stern declaration came a day after the retraction of a statement by Samson Mukisa, the prime witness and main complainant in a case in which Kayanja is accused of sodomising young boys.

Mukisa, who had reportedly gone to Police on Friday to help in the sodomy allegations, turned around and instead told senior detectives that every thing in his complaint had been framed. Mukisa reportedly withdrew his earlier statement after the senior detectives, D/ACP Tumuhimbise and D/SP Amos Munyeneza informed him that they were set to visit all the places he mentioned in the statement.

These included his former residence at Rubaga Miracle Center Church, Kampiringisa juvenile remand home, Mulago hospital and his home in Kajjansi. “I am saying it and read my lips properly; any body involved in the statement is going to be sternly dealt with, people should know that giving wrong information to police is a serious case that we won’t take lying down,” he said. Ochom added that five other youths namely; Brian Ntwatwa, Ronnie Mutebi, David Mukalazi, Robson Matovu and Ivan Akansiima have also retracted their statement they had made against Kayanja at CPS.

kayanja Reveals His Homo Secrets

“At one time, Pastor Male shamelessly said that I had sodomised a boy so badly and that when he went to the toilet, his intestines fell out! Can you imagine? But he fell short of explaining who treated the boy and how he came out of the toilet in that condition.” These are words of Pastor Robert Kayanja while giving an exclusive interview to the Red Pepper on Monday evening.

In what looks like a move to end the bum shafting speculations against him, Pastor Kayanja has finally opened the lid and condemned the vice, saying it is not only God forbidden and inhuman but also a sure way of contracting the deadly HIV/AIDS virus and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Kayanja has also threatened to drag to court his fellow pastors, led by Moses Solomon Male and Pastor Michael Kyazze of Omega healing Center along Entebbe road, who he claims have for years through the media, described him as someone who not only supports but practices the rear cruise vice.
“I am a son of a Reverend and I was brought up in a strong Christian family.

There is no stage in my life that I faced anything that would lead me to engage in such ungodly acts. I am a priest and there is no way I can be one of them (homosexuals),” Kayanja said in a two hour long exclusive interview with this Reporter at Rubaga Miracle Centre, Monday evening.
Wondering why Red Pepper had taken long to write about his (homosexuality) rumor which has existed for over two years, Kayanja said; “The game is over and I have instructed my lawyers to take action.”

He said he had opted to take a low profile hoping that his enemies would eventually get tired but that he was ‘awakened’ by the recent incidents where his special Aide Chris Muwonge was kidnapped, and another where Kyazze’s Assistant, Bob Kayiira got arrested from his (Kayanja) territory.
“I felt they had taken their ‘game’ a bit far and fortunatelynately enough, my concerned legal assistants had all along recorded their defamatory statements on various radios.

This is some of the evidence we are going to use in taking them on,” Kayanja said, adding that even the hosting electronic media houses would be sued. Kayanja further revealed that some of his many boys at the church have been harassed and assaulted by strangers who kidnap them and promise them heaven on earth if only they can pin him in the dirty act. “I don’t know whether they (Males) are aware that some boys have confessed and deposited with police, the money they were given to pin me,” he said.

The Truth

Admitting that homosexuality is taking a toll on Ugandan young generation, Pastor Kayanja said he does not support it and that he is among the many religious leaders, who in the eighties campaigned against it along with HIV/Aids. “We used to have crusades preaching against homosexuality and HIV. He said homosexuality is a big force behind HIV spread. He doubted whether the practitioners use any protective means. “We have 52 Sundays in a year and here (Rubaga Miracle Center), we program them accordingly. There are Sundays when homosexuality, extramarital relationships and other social teachings are on our ‘menu’ and indeed one of such was last Sundays. But the problem is our critics do not visit the church and hence they depend on speculations,” Kayanja said sodomy and premarital sex always takes a center stage in the ministry’s youth seminars. Kayanja also said that his church was represented in the recently organized anti-gay/homosexuality match in the city center. He said one of the organizers, Pastor Steven Langa was invited at the church to mobilize the faithfuls for the do and they indeed responded in big numbers by penning their signatures to the petition. “So, I don’t know why I am these people’s soft target. Is it because I am a busy man who never responds to trivial issues? I think they have ridiculed me to the marrow, it’s time to take action and they will indeed have it in full,” Kayanja warned.

Kayanja The Man

Born on January 24, 1962 in a family of 13, Pastor Robert Kayanja got saved at the age of 17. A young brother of the current Anglican Archbishop of York Dr. John Sentamu, he started the Miracle Centre Ministry which has now spread to 66 nations. Today he is also overseer of the Miracle Bible College, The Never Again Children’s project and two orphanages in Kapeeka and Burundi. He features on a weekly Miracle Life Television programmes on Lighthouse and Daystar Television networks. The church has also founded over 1,000 Miracle Centre Churches across the country. He has traveled to over 50 other countries to preach the Christian gospel.
The soft spoken and arguably very humble man of God, Kayanja is happily married to Jessica, and they are blessed with three children.

One For The Road

Seeing this Reporter off, Pastor Kayanja called upon people to be patriotic. “Patriotism does not stop with loving your country but other people as well.
If we loved each other, you wouldn’t be here asking about the bad blood between me and people supposed to be my brothers.

Police questions Kayanja accusers

Police questions Kayanja accusers

Monday, 18th May, 2009

PASTORS Simon Male and Martin Ssempa were yesterday interrogated by the Police for allegedly falsifying information and swearing false affidavits purporting that Pastor Robert Kayanja committed sodomy.

Kayanja is the pastor of Miracle Centre Church in Rubaga, Kampala. Male arrived at the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) in Kibuli, a Kampala suburb, at about 10:30am. CID deputy director Moses Sakira and general crimes boss Venice Tumuhibise interrogated him from 12:30pm to 5:00pm. His lawyer Paul Rutisya was present.

Ssempa arrived at 11:35am accompanied by two aides and lawyer Philip Karugaba. The Police questioned him from 4:47pm to 7:35pm.

Male’s lawyer said his client belongs to Arise and Shine Ministries based on Portal Avenue in Kampala. Ssempa pastors Makerere Community Church.
Addressing journalists before the interrogation, the men said they were not scared.

The clergymen allegedly said Kayanja sodomised boys, who confessed to them about their ordeal. Both pastors recorded statements and they are expected back in Kibuli today for further interrogation.

Male said he told the Police the truth. He said he had given refuge to a Samson Mukisa, one of Kayanja’s accusers.
Male said he was not a liar but a Good Samaritan. “I am a human rights defender.”

Ssempa said for years he had assisted victims of homosexuality, a job he described as tough. “I pray that the country will not forget the boys. There should be justice for boys who have been abused sexually just like for girls,” he stated.

“I have no problem with Kayanja. He has never sodomised me,” Ssempa said. “It is the children who came to us and confessed. It is those who are seeking justice.”

Ssempa said he was concerned that some people in Kayanja’s church were highly-placed in the Police force. “But we have faith in democracy and justice,” he added.

Ssempa said he first heard the sodomy allegations against Kayanja in 1996. He cited David Mulakazi, Robson Matovu and Mukisa as some of the accusers. He called for a commission of inquiry into the activities of pastors cited in homosexual activities.

After the interrogation, Ssempa told journalists that the process and the cause of justice had just started.

Both Ssempa and Male dismissed claims that Kayanja’s accusers had withdrawn the allegations. CID boss Edward Ochom on Sunday told a press conference in Kampala that Kayanja had no case to answer because his accusers had lied about him.

Kayanja would not comment on the matter yesterday, but his spokesperson Arthur Nsamba promised to issue a statement today.

The Police yesterday paraded a woman whom they described as Mukisa’s mother. Olivia Nansubuga, 30, said Mukisa had never been at Rubaga Miracle Centre. Mukisa in an affidavit said he was 19 years old and that both his parents were dead.

But Nansubuga said he was 17, although she could not tell when she gave birth to Mukisa whom she said was her only child. The Police did not say if they would carry out a DNA test on Nansubuga and Mukisa to clear the matter.

Nansubuga, a resident of Kyengera, was invited by the Police to clarify the allegations against Kayanja which Mukisa made in his affidavit.

She said his father, Richard Muyingo, who lives at Kajjansi, abandoned her after making her pregnant in S1 at Kitende Senior Secondary School.

Tightly guarded by two Police escorts, Nansubuga said although she belonged to Kyengera Pentecostal Church, she was perturbed by what she saw on television and heard on radio and wanted to clear the allegations her “own son” made.

“I have never gone to Kayanja’s church, but as a born-again Christian, I can’t sit down and see people malign a senior pastor of Kayanja’s calibre.”

She displayed three photos of Mukisa whom she said had changed his name to Robert Musaarize, Musasiizi and Mukisa.

“My son has had mental problems since childhood,” she said. “He escaped from home twice when he was still young in 2006. I never saw him again until this year on Easter when he told me he was working at Pastor Michael Kyazze’s church.”

Pastor Kyazze of Omega Healing Centre is also implicated in the allegations against Kayanja.

Pastors Ssempa, Male defiant after CID visit

The interrogation took five hours. But when Pastor Solomon Male came out of the Kibuli-based Criminal Investigations Directorate offices at exactly 5pm last evening, he remained defiant refusing to retract claims that Pastor Robert Kayanja has been named in sodomy claims.
Mr Moses Sakira, the deputy CID director in charge of investigation, led the interrogation of the two pastors; with Male emerging unmoved by the Police action.
He said: “It’s simple to cast a demon than to stand for the truth; but we shall win for the truth.”
CID Director Edward Ochom on Sunday summoned five pastors after detectives investigated claims by seven men that they were sodomised by Pastor Kayanja while they served at his Rubaga church. The seven include Samson Mukisa, James Ntwatwa, Ronny Mutebi, David Mukalazi, Akansiime and Robinson Matovu.
Mr Ochom said the cases were found to be false and the Police had summoned the pastors on allegations of giving false information contrary to Section 115 of the Penal Code.

Police Clears Pastor Robert Kayanja of Sodomy; Did He 'Bribe' Police?

Kato Mivule |May 18, 2009

In a mysterious and 'movie-like’ turn of events, Uganda's Prosperity Gospel Pastor, Robert Kayanja was "cleared" of all Sodomy charges by Police and instead his accusers were summoned for to Police Headquarters.

This comes after Pastor Robert Kayanja offered to "Renovate" Ugandan Police Headquarters, a move that was highly criticized by The Parliament - Uganda's Legislative Body, The Media, and the Public.

It was seen that Pastor Robert Kayanja would never be thoroughly investigated but the Ugandan Police would do him 'favors' because of the money he "donated" to renovate Ugandan Police Staff Quarters which are in a deplorable state.

However, it is known and common in Uganda that The Police never acts in the interest of the public but the powerful like Kayanja who have "connections" with President Museveni... It is a sad day for all those young boys who have been abused and sodomized as they will never get justice in Uganda’s corrupt legal system. This is a true case of Obstruction of Justice by Uganda’s Elites...Ugandan Press seems to Report a far different story from 'The Police and Kayanja' Antics...

Sodomy row: CID summons pastors

Andrew Bagala

The Police Criminal Investigations Directorate yesterday summoned five pastors on allegations that they set up Pastor Robert Kayanja in a sodomy scandal.

CID Director Edward Ochom said at a press conference that Pastors Martin Ssempa of Makerere Community Church, Solomon Male of Arise for Christ, Michael Kyazze, Annet Kyomuhendo and Bob Kayiiira of Omega Healing Centre are expected at CID headquarters in Kibuli today, where they will be interrogated by detectives.

The summons come after CID investigated cases in which seven people including; Samson Mukisa, James Ntwatwa, Ronny Mutebi, David Mukalazi, Akansiime and Robinson Matovu alleged to have been sodomised by Pastor Kayanja while they were serving in his church at Rubaga Miracle Cathedral.

Mr Ochom said the cases were found to be false and the Police had summoned the pastors on allegations of giving false information contrary to section 115 of the Penal Code and false swearing contrary to section 100 of the Penal Code.
“We are going to take tough measures against people who tell lies to the Police because they put the Police credibility to question,” Mr Ochom said.
The development is likely to turn tables with Pastor Kayanja, who recently made a big donation to the police force – renovating Old Kampala Station, moving from defendant to complainant and the Pastors who have been accusing him of sodomy becoming the defendants.

The CID boss’ position on the matter, stems from a Police statement by Mr Mukisa on February 7, alleging that he was an orphan who sought refuge at Pastor Kayanja’s church but was sodomised. He also swore an affidavit to that effect.
Police carried out medical examinations, which indicated the man was not sodomised but a separate independent examination by a doctor at Mulago Hospital did not rule out sodomy. “We have found out that his (Mukisa’s) mother is alive contrary to the first statement he made and his father isn’t Richard Bulega as he alleged but is Richard Muyingo,” Mr Ochom said yesterday.

CID officials said Mr Mukisa has never been part of Kayanja’s church.
But Mukisa yesterday said the CID boss had told lies about him. He also alleged to have been forced by the Police to sign a statement at gun point. “Both of my parents are dead. I am ready to prove all I have said,” Mr Mukisa said in an interview with Daily Monitor.

Both Pastors Male and Ssempa yesterday confirmed receiving the summons. Pastor Ssempa described the development as a “sad one for those helping victims of sodomy”. Daily Monitor couldn’t reach the other pastors.

But the Pastors summoned by CID and particularly Pastor Male have accused the Police of acting suspiciously in the investigation. “Mukisa reported his case to the Police in February. Later, we read that Kayanja had offered to renovate Old Kampala Police Station … If your conscience is really clear, why do you send dummies to people investigating you? Why not allow them to investigate and find you innocent?” Pastor Male said in an interview with the Sunday Vision.

Police clear Pastor Kayanja of sodomy
Sunday, 17th May, 2009

By Patrick Jaramogi

THE POLICE yesterday described allegations of sodomy against Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre as “baseless”, “fabricated” and “full of lies”.

“We have been carrying out investigations following allegations of sodomy by Pastor Robert Kayanja. The allegations were grave because they involved the church, but the revelations were unbelievable,” said Edward Ochom, the Director of Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), at a press conference at his headquarters in Kibuli.

“Pastor Kayanja has no case because all six complainants who reported to the Police have retracted their complaints, saying they were set up by some pastors. We shall proceed with the case when any other person comes up with a complaint.”

The Police listed Samson Mukisa, David Mukalazi, Brian Ntwata, Robson Matovu, Ronnie Mutebi and Brian Ankansima as people who have since retracted their statements.

Ochom warned of stern measures against people who tell lies to the Police.
“These people have been summoned to explain.”

He listed those summoned as pastors Martin Ssempa of Makerere University Community Church; Michael Kyazze, Robert Kayiira and Lendo Anita Kyomuhendo of Omega Healing Centre; and Solomon Male.

“We want them at the CID headquarters today. If they don’t respond, we shall arrest them,” Ochom warned.

According to Ochom, Mukisa, the 19-year-old boy who alleged he was sodomised by Kayanja in a hotel, confessed that he had been used.

“When our senior detectives called Mukisa for interrogation, he confessed that what he swore in the affidavit were lies. Mukisa said that he was paid sh50,000 per month to damage Pastor Kayanja,” said Ochom.

However, Mukisa at a press conference convened by Male on Saturday said he had been forced by CID officers to retract his earlier statements at gun point.

“I was put at gunpoint and forced to retract and sign a new statement. I feared for my life,” he told journalists. Mukisa is being accommodated by Omega Healing Centre in Namasuba.

In his affidavit, presented by Kaggwa and Company Advocates, Mukisa alleged that he was heading a music group at Kayanja’s ministry for street children which won a music competition and that after the party, Kayanja drove him to an unknown hotel and sodomised him.

“Mukisa alleged that his anus was shattered and that Kayanja brought a female doctor who stitched it. When we took him for medical examination, the Police surgeon found that his anus was intact and had never been stitched,” said Ochom.

He said investigations found out that Mukisa had never been taken to the children’s home.

“In his affidavit he said that his father was the late Richard Bulega of Kitende in Kajjansi and that his mother, Oliver Nansubuga, died in 2008. But when we interrogated him, he said his father was Richard Muyingo and his mother is still alive.”

“Mukisa later told us that he was being used by some pastors.”

Ochom vowed that the Police would not tolerate lies by church leaders.

“We are not going to allow people who are not credible to lead institutions like the church. The church is an institution of high morals.”

The conflict between rival Pentecostal churches, which compete for members, ‘sowing’ money and funds from US churches, has deepened in recent weeks, with pastors accusing each other of homosexuality, kidnap and bribing people to frame them.

Opinions | May 16, 2009
Police welfare is govt responsibility

Government is abdicating the responsibility of ensuring Police welfare, exposing the nation’s law enforcers to manipulation. While Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura’s need to improve his officers’ appalling living conditions in understandable, the practice of accepting hand outs from the public could jeopardise law enforcement.

Last week Third Deputy Prime Minister Kirunda Kivejinja, who is also Minister of Internal Affairs and Maj. Gen. Kayihura defended the practice of accepting offers from the public during a Parliamentary committee on Defense and Internal Affairs. MPs on the committee had raised the red flag over Police’s decision to accept Pastor Robert Kayanja’s renovation of Old Kampala Police Station at a time when he is defending himself against several allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Kayihura says the Constitution allows the Police to cooperate with civil authority and the general population in the execution of its functions. This is vague and leaves the Police vulnerable to manipulation by rich individuals. Though Gen. Kayihura clarified that Kayanja would face the law if he committed a crime, his explanation was not convincing.

Curiously, when Lt. General Katumba Wamala was police chief and he tried to fundraise for double-cabin pick ups, President Museveni ordered him to stop the practice. So what has changed? There is no other country in the world in which government can under-fund a key sector to the point of exposing it to such ridicule. United States of America, for example has the highest concentration of rich individuals in the world, but it is unheard of for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI) to accept any help from them.

Government must, as a matter of urgency, re-arrange it’s priorities and free resources to cater for the welfare of the men and women serving in our armed forces. As a starting point, all Police barracks must be renovated to be fit for human habitation. Improvement of salaries can follow later.

However well intentioned, the practice of leaving the welfare of the Police force to the goodwill of the public is unsustainable and could easily boomerang. State institutions should serve the public good and not the interests of a few individuals, however wealthy.

Uganda: Pastor Kayanja to Renovate Old Kampala Police Barracks |All Africa March 12, 2009

Anthony Bugembe

12 March 2009

Kampala — PASTOR Robert Kayanja of Kampala Miracle Centre has offered to give Old Kampala Police barracks a face lift.
This will involve repairing the dilapidated structures, replacing the asbestos with iron sheets, planting grass on the compound and setting up a video hall.
"My team is coming here on Tuesday. We will start with one block and see how things progress," Kayanja said.

The pastor said the houses would be roofed, painted and that electrical installations and plumbing would be done.
"We have the experts to do the job. We urge you to join us because this is a communal effort," Kayanja said at the barracks on Tuesday.
"The Police are part of us. We run to them for protection, especially when we have big events like the New Year prayers," said Kayanja.
"We shall do everything in our means to help them. By the end of this year, this will be the best looking barracks in Kampala."

Last week, Police chief Kale Kayihura initiated the renovation of the barracks to improve the living conditions of the officers. He said the Police would rely on its meagre resources and the private sector to implement the programme.

Augustine Kasangaki, the officer-in-charge of the station, said each block was designed to house only four families.
"The barracks is now home to 123 Police families. That means each block now houses between four to eight families," he said.
Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba said: "We are grateful to people who appreciate our challenges and go out of their way to offer a hand."
Kayanja's team also offered groceries to the officers. The barracks was built in 1955.

Pastor Kayanja creates a tricky police situation | Daily Monitor March 29, 2009

"There is a difference in opinion among senior police officers over Pastor Robert Kayanja’s recent offerings to the Force. Recently, Pastor Kayanja offered material assistance to the families of police officers of Old Kamapala Police Station. He then promised to ensure that the dilapidated police quarters are rehabilitated. Although Police Chief Kale Kayihura accepted the offer, other officers have had second thoughts about it. The police say that it leaves them in a compromising position since the man was once the subject of an inquiry into suspected wine smuggling. A parallel Uganda Revenue Authority investigation faded quietly into the distance. It is because of this past that the Old Kampala offer has attracted attention."

Police criticised over Kayanja offer

Thursday, 16th April, 2009

By Mary Karugaba

Members of Parliament have questioned the Police Force for accepting Pastor Robert Kayanja and other individuals’ offer to renovate Police barracks.

The MPs on the public accounts committee yesterday asked officials headed by the undersecretary, Winnie Kabogoza, to explain why they accepted the offer.

They said such offers would compromise the Police’s impartiality.

“Allowing people to do work for you is putting you in a fix. How then are you going to treat them when they commit a crime?” the committee chairman, Nandala Mafabi, asked.

MP Tom Kazibwe asked why the force solicited for public offers yet the Government stopped former Police boss Lt.Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala from getting funds to buy patrol vehicles.

“At this rate, you will find hardcore criminals offering to renovate some of your barracks,” Kazibwe said.

Kabogoza said they sought public support because they were disparate.

She said the force received only sh800m annually for maintenance.

“This is part of the private-public partnership. Jomayi property has also come in,” she said.

The Police commissioner in charge of legal services, Samuel Kyomukama, said: “We understand your fears. You can’t feed from someone’s hand and then treat him badly. It’s not good because it compromises the impartiality.”

Asked about allegations of bosses sexually harassing female officers, Kyomukama said: “Police officers are also individuals. They are a mirror of society.”

Interview: Pastor Robert Kayanja should be investigated over sodomy

Kayanja should be investigated over sodomy | Sunday Vision, May 17, 2009 | Pastor Robert Kayanja's Response Below

ACCUSATIONS, counter accusation and allegations are rife in the born again churches with the crux being sodomy. Pastor Male is at the front of the anti-sodomy campaign and here he answers questions from Sunday Vision.

By Esther Namugoji

You have been accused of tarnishing Pastor Robert Kayanja’s name. Why?
We are not defaming him. What we are doing is helping victims of sodomy. It is not us saying that Kayanja sodomised. The person who filed a case at with the Police is Samson Mukisa, not Male or Ssempa. What he is claiming is just diversionary. Why do boys come up to say he has sodomised them? Some of his fellow pastors know it but they fear his connections.

There are disparities in Mukisa’s testimony.

The boy said they had a competition among the children in the street kids’ ministry. They divided into groups just for the occasion. ‘Group A’ cannot really be a name of a choir. The dates that Kayanja is quoting are not in the boy’s affidavit. If it is in a Police statement, I cannot say because the boy was alone with the Police when he made it. When we asked him he said he could not remember the exact dates.

So who knows where these dates came from? Besides, at first on UBC TV Kayanja’s assistant was quoting the affidavit. It was only after I appeared on WBS TV and said there were no dates in the affidavit that he started saying he got the dates from the Police.

You are said to be behind the kidnap, harassment and attempted murder of two people from Kayanja’s church.

We have victims who are ready to testify without being forced. Wouldn’t it be foolish to kidnap somebody and promise him money to force him to confess that Kayanja sodomised him, when there are others willing to say the same thing? We are not that desperate. That is why we called for a public inquiry into all this.

Kayanja says we hate him, we framed him and kidnapped his people. I have read the latest kidnap story and I have to call it ‘Miraclewood’. Like we have Hollywood, Bollywood, and Nollywood, this one is drama made in Miracle Centre. I, Male have no money. Why would I spend sh240m to frame Kayanja? Kyazze is not rich. Ssempa even lives in a rented house. Where do we stand to benefit?

It’s a tactical move to make people not to trust anyone who comes up to say Kayanja sodomised them. It is also aimed at scaring other boys from coming out.

Kayanja says Herbert Tumukunde was promised money in exchange for the information.
I don’t know whether money was promised. I’ve come to think that Kayanja is the one who sent the boy to us in the first place to try to trap us, thinking we’re fools. So he sends someone who he knows will later deny.

Mukisa reported his case to the Police in February. Later we read that Kayanja had offered to renovate Old Kampala Police Station. Before long, Tumukunde came to Pastor Kyazze, saying Kayanja sodomised him and that there was video evidence. Pastor Kyazze who was travelling left Kayiira in charge of helping Tumukunde sign an affidavit and go for a medical test. Tumukunde asked Kayiira to meet him at Garden City rather than Omega Healing Centre because he feared he was being followed.

The boy told Kayiira to bring a laptop to download the material at Miracle Centre. But Kayiira opted to wait at Nabunya Road. On that Friday, after waiting for a long time for the boy, he walked away.

Later he returned after being called by Tumukunde’s friend and armed men in plainclothes emerged from the bush. One of them shot in the air, forcing Kayiira to drop to the ground and he was frog-marched towards the church. As they neared the place, they made him stand up and walk. The Police was then called in to arrest him.

My question is, who arrested Kayiira? Besides, Kayiira was simply helping the boy who had reported something to him. And if your conscience is really clear, why do you send dummies to people investigating you? Why not allow them to investigate and find you innocent?

Q: Why didn’t you go to the police instead of doing the investigations yourself?
There is no law that prohibits an individual like Male or Kayiira from investigating a crime.

Two boys had come to us before after years of waiting for police to act on their report that Pastor Kitaka sodomised them. They had instead been harassed and were now nursing ideas of going to bomb Liberty Worship Centre. We counselled them to drop the idea and tried to help them go to police. Up to now those boys have never got justice.

Remember in pastor Kiwewesi’s case, the accuser Arinaitwe became the accused. Kiwewesi threatened to sue me but after the boy was arrested, that was the end of the case.

Q: He could have chosen to forgive you.
I don’t think that Kiwewesi, who did not have mercy on Arinaitwe, could have mercy on Male.

Q: Aren’t you just out to disorganise the Pentecostal churches unfairly?
The person who is disorganising the church is Kayanja. All he as to do is to resign and let one of his assistants take over while he is investigated. If church leaders had dealt with the issue instead of covering it up, this problem would not arise.

They just want to tarnish my name | Sunday Vision May 17, 2009

Kayanja cries foul

MIRACLE Centre Churches founder Pastor Robert Kayanja has accused pastors Solomon Male, Martin Ssempa and Michael Kyazze of defamation, kidnap and other criminal acts relating to the allegations that he sexually abused a boy. Male says the kidnaps were cooked up by Kayanja to frame them and divert attention from the real issue. Esther Namugoji asked Kayanja about the deepening saga.

You have been accused of sexually abusing a young boy called Samuel Mukisa. Is this true?
It’s absolutely false and it saddens me to see that people will go to great depths to destroy someone’s name. I don’t know the boy, Samson Mukisa. We have looked in our records of the boys in our project and his name is not there.

Secondly, the dates he says that these things happened, that is June 25 and 26, I was not in the country. My records, itinerary and passport do not put me in Uganda from June 11 to July 2, 2008. It is very sad that someone would do something like this and you ask yourself : ‘why?’

In his affidavit, the boy mentions a choir competition at the church in which group A, which he was leading won. He says I took him to a hotel where I sodomised him. That is all false because there is no choir by that name in our church. The funny thing is that he can remember everything that happened to him but he cannot remember the hotel that I supposedly took him to. He says that a doctor wrote on his medical report that he is musilu, meaning he is mad, so that he could be taken to Kampiringisa Juvenile Rehabilitation Centre.

I have never seen a doctor writing in Luganda. Besides, Kampiringisa is not for mad people but it is for rehabilitation. That is another inconsistency. He says we bribed these people to take him there. They forget that in 2002 Parliament decided that before anyone is taken to Kampiringisa a court order has to be issued. These people are not only accusing Kayanja but they are accusing the medical fraternity, the Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development and the administration of Kampiringisa of violating the law.

They are even accusing the Police surgeon of breaking the law. The Police surgeon examined the boy and said there was no sign of sodomy. Not satisfied, they went to a doctor in Mulago who made the same observations, just that he added that ‘however’ (sodomy) could not be ruled out.
You should get these doctors to face the press and tell us exactly what they meant by ‘however’ so that the country and the world knows on which basis ‘however’ was stated.

You accuse these pastors of tarnishing your name. Why would they do that?
I am not accusing them because I am not the accuser of the brethren. I am stating that they have tarnished my name and indeed they have, and I have proof.

What proof do you have?
The first proof is the media where they have been making their statements and there is much more. I can’t tell you but I have concrete evidence that I will present in court.

There are questions about how Pastor Robert Kayira was arrested at your church for criminal trespass.
He was arrested within our campus. Our campus stretches over 20 acres. This is private property; even though church is a public place, it has perimeters. There is security in this place, we have guards and surveillance. We had an incident in 2004 when thieves broke into our church and stole computers when we had gone for a crusade in Nairobi, Kenya. I don’t know what they were looking for — maybe we can connect it to this case. But since then we have been vigilant.

(Solomon) Male said Kayira was arrested at Nabunya Road and brought here on his knees. But there were no marks on his knees. The Police is better these days. They came here, took pictures and measured the distance of the place and they are finding him to be a liar. Besides, how could a 16-year-old convince a 30 or 40-year-old man to go to another church, past midnight? Government is asking Parliament for permission to tap private phone calls, so why would someone come to get private information without consent?

Why mislead a minor, to commit a crime with you? According to the law, the adult assumes full responsibility for the crime. They targeted him and many others — you will hear other stories — because he was vulnerable. How did he get Kyazze’s phone contact to approach him for help? Kayira does not even deny that even that night he had brought sh200,000 for the boy. He had even been promised sh600,000 and more millions later. How do you promise a young boy such huge amounts of money?

They say the kidnap of your assistant, Chris Muwonge was faked by your agents. What is the truth?
The amazing thing is that if you are a crook and a liar you presume that everyone else is a crook and a liar. Why would Male want us to believe that someone was sodomised, but not believe that someone was kidnapped? A key witness of the Kayira case was abducted and almost burnt alive by those same people.

You are talking about Herbert Tumukunde?
Yes. When I was speaking on KFM, everyone at church was glued to the radios to hear the interview. While their attention was on the radio, Tumukunde got a phone call to go and meet somebody outside. He was grabbed and beaten. They poured paraffin on him and would have burnt him if they had not heard some people walking nearby.

I have been preaching for over 25 years. My name has been associated with good things, why would I start now to punish my own children (the rehabilitated street children) like this?

Why would I bribe a young man? Nobody would want to see Tumukunde tortured like that. They have been following him, tracking and calling him, telling him to come and talk. They are now using intimidation because he has refused to respond to their plans.
He is a key witness and they think that if they eliminate him they will win the case. We have evidence of Kayira sitting with a 16-year-old boy at Garden City telling him what to say.

How did you know what they were doing?
This is a minor and he is a pastor of another church; he is not his relative. They were not talking about the next sermon. What were they doing?

How did you get the evidence? Someone could argue that everything was pre-arranged so that you could get your evidence.
If you go where there is CCTV your image is captured. I will not discuss how we got it but it is there and it will be used in court.

Pastor Solomon Male says Tumukunde first approached Pastor Kyazze saying he was sodomised by you and then told them to come for the evidence.
Because he is a liar! If he can say that, and thank God he said it because it is going to be used against him. If you have found someone doing something wrong, you go to the Police. This is not a country of mob justice, this is a country with laws.

A decent person will take him to the Police, tell the Police ‘this boy came to me with this problem, the evidence is with Pastor Kayanja’. Then the Police will come by themselves and search for the evidence. But instead they choose to be judge, prosecutor, witness and jury.

What would you do if it were you that a boy reported to for help that he has been sodomised?
You do what everybody else does. You tell him to go to the Police.

Have any come to you?
Many of our children have been picked on over different things but did we go and get guns? No.

Do you seriously believe the pastors you have named are behind the kidnaps and attempted murder?
I am not saying it is them, but there is a thread that weaves across all these cases. The questions are the same. Mukisa’s story was not about kidnap but sodomy. When they kidnapped these boys they wanted them to say the same thing. When I went to the Police, the first thing they asked me was whether I have a special room for sodomising boys. Why would they do that unless someone told them?

What do you think is behind all this?
The heart of man is wicked, that’s what the Bible says. I am dismayed that Pastor Kyazze came down to this level. From the little I know about him, he is a noble person. From the little that I know about Pastor Ssempa he is a noble man. Male, I did not know. I just saw him speaking on TV.

So what are they looking for? They had the child, the medical report and the law, isn’t that enough? Why get involved in all these things?
Whatever they say, they should have gone to the Police. Even if they wanted, there is citizen’s arrest where you tell people, “let’s take this person to the Police. We have heard this”.

But Male says you have strong connections and previous attempts to report such cases have ended up in frustration or the victims arrested.
(Laughs) But people like Jim Muhwezi and Mike Mukula definitely have very strong connections. If Muhwezi can be arrested by the Police, then who is Kayanja (not to be arrested)?

There’s talk about a former personal guard of yours who is linked to homosexuality.
I don’t know who you’re talking about. There have been so many. People come and go, they move on with their lives. There are many pastors like Pastor Karoli, Pastor Godfrey Mukasa and others who were here and have left.

Why did they leave your church?
Why do you leave your father’s house when you are getting married? Do you leave because the beds are short or you don’t like the food? They all moved on to start branches of our church. They even use the name Miracle Centre for their churches. They were even here last month for our 25th anniversary homecoming celebrations.

There are concerns that some male choir members plait their hair, wear earrings and other mannerisms that some people associate with gay people.

This is very sad. I have travelled to different places and I have seen people with plaited hair. (footballer Samuel) Eto’o has plaited hair, but he is a Christian with a wife and children. When Limit X was starting out they had what was known as ‘French cut’ hairstyles and wore rings. People said, ‘how can they do that?’ People want a form of godliness but deny the power therein. I don’t know why young people wear earrings or plait their hair. But we reach out to many youths and they come dressed in unimaginable things but after sometime they change. In the days of Tukutendereza, women would cut off their hair, but today they don’t. That does not define a person. God judges the heart.

23 Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?” 24 But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things: 25 The baptism of John—where was it from? From heaven or from men?” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all count John as a prophet.” 27 So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.” And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. (Matthew 21:23-27 )

I could not help laughing when pastors under the so called born again faith federation went to the press to openly disown Pastor Solomon Male of Arising for Christ ministries. They called Pastor Solomon Male a liar and an accuser of the brethren. They argued that Pastor Male has no moral authority to speak for born again Christians because he does not own a church. Pastor Solomon Male has been called all kinds of names. One naïve prosperity pastor called him a demon. By calling him an accuser of the Brethren Pastor Simeon Kayiwa is equating Pastor Male to Satan (Rev.1210).

20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. John 3:20

We have been watching and examining Pastor Solomon Male’s claims for years now. This Man of God has substance. He is not like Pastor Joseph Sserwada who is a hypocrite and coverer of evil and darkness. When sodomy allegations came up against Pastor Kitaka, Pastor Sserwada often featured on his Impact FM ridiculing the victims of sodomy. Within a short time Pastor Kitaka resigned (What a shame for Pastor Sserwada).

Dear Pastor Sserwada it is written that God is light and in him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5) so by covering works of darkness, don’t you think you are working for the devil. It is written that every one that doeth evil hateth the light (John 2:20). The Lord Jesus Christ said that there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 12:2, Luke 8:17, Matt.10:26). So, hiding evil and sin is wastage of time because the word of the Lord must prevail. A person like Pastor Solomon Male who loves to expose evil to light can not be a demon. He can not be Satan.

Pentecostal pastors denounce Male

I am not an imposter- says Pastor Male

Ugandan Prosperity Gospel Kingpins Denounce Pastor Male

What is amazing is the fact that most of these pastors such as Dr. Joseph Sserwada, Dr. Godfrey Kamese, and Prof. Simeon Kayiwa are ‘Doctors of Philosophy’?? Pastor Male has never claimed to speak for born again Christians in Uganda. He is simply exercising his Christian right and duty to expose evil. He does not need the authority of a cocoon like Born Again Faith Federation.

Where did the Lord Jesus Christ get the authority to expose the Pharisees(Matthew 23)? Where was the baptism of John from??? Where did the Prophets in the Old Testament get authority to expose sin? From man made faith federations!!!-how laughable. Pastor Joseph Sserwada argued that Male is not a Pastor because, he does not own a church. He thinks a church is a building, yet scripture says categorically that God does not dwell in temples made with human hands.

Pastor Solomon Male rebuked a conman Pastor called Godfrey Lule on a popular FM station

One of the fundamental issues that Pastor Solomon Male has exposed is the infestation of the Ugandan Pentecostal Movement by John Obiri Yeboah Spirits (devils). Pastor Male has written a piece titled, ‘’The Desecration of my Kingdom’’. In this piece he exposes the satanic connections of Pentecostal Pastors in Uganda with the John Obiri Yeboah powers. All pastors with John Obiri Yeboah roots hate Pastor Male so much because he was highly close to the system and knew the Satanism in it.

One of the Disciples of John Obiri Yeboah is Prophet Samuel Kakande of Synagogue church of all Nations. Prophet Kakande worked closely with Pastor Solomon Male. Prophet Kakande separated from his former wife Nana Lois also a former discipline of John Obiri Yeboah and the brain behind the John Obiri Yeboah foundation in Uganda.

Prophet Kakande has been disowned by the Pentecostal movement in Uganda but before this happened many pastors in the born again fraternity tried to cover him knowing very well that the moment Prophet Kakande is exposed, they would follow soot. It is said that John Obiri Yeboah was buried in the traditional regalia of an African witch doctor.

The Desecration of my Kingdom

The Confusion of Ugandan Pastors with John Obiri Yeboah connections
All Ugandan Pastors who were close to John Obiri Yeboah or who were initiated by Pastors close to John Obiri Yeboah preach a very confused gospel of healing and material prosperity and political Christianity. These are the guys behind the confusion in the born again fraternity in Uganda.

A good number of pastors who joined to disown Pastor Solomon Male have connections to John Obiri Yeboah and are afraid of being exposed. They are aware that most of their young converts lack this history about them and hence might loose big money if exposed.

Pastor Solomon Male should write a book

I urge Pastor Solomon Male to write a book about the John Obiri Yeboah spirit and the Pentecostal movement in Uganda. I urge all born again Christians in Uganda to familiarize themselves with the history of the born again faith in Uganda

She started her duties as a Prophetess in 1986 till the present. hen I look at Prophetess Lois, I see the real picture and character of Jesus Christ. She is humble, meek, Lowly, friendly and treats all people equally no matter where you come from or what denomination. Prophetess Lois Nana has prayed for many people all around the world. Is Nigerian Bishop David Oyedepo Bullying Ugandan Pastors?

By Kato Mivule | May 17, 2009

Ugandans got ‘invaded’ by a Nigerian Prosperity Gospel and Curse-Deliverance Czar, Bishop David Oyedepo, of course at the invitation of his branch Church in Kampala, The Winners Chapel. Bishop Oyedepo flew to Uganda aboard his own private Gulf Stream Jet and welcomed by throngs of his followers in Uganda.
Nigeria's Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop Oyedepo however, found Uganda reeling back and forth at the news that Pastor Robert Kayanja, Uganda’s Prosperity Gospel guru had been accused of Sodomy and molesting a young boy, with a police case filed against Kayanja. Uganda’s Evangelical Church is undergoing a shaking and a divide between the Prosperity Gospel preachers and those who are calling for Sound Doctrine and Leadership Accountability.

It must be remembered that back in the 1990s Bishop Oyedepo caused controversy in Uganda when he opened up his Winners Chapel Church and had people line up and drink Olive Oil so as to receive the prosperity anointing and prosper in riches. Among the Oil Drinkers was Pastor Joseph Sserwada of Victory Christian Center in Kampala who led his church and followers to the Bishop Oyedepo’s conference and the Prosperity Olive Oil Drinking binge begun.

Pastor Joseph Sserwada

It was at that time, that Pastor Martin Ssempa of Makerere Community Church stood up and openly on National Radio Rebuked Pastor Sserwada and told him to stop drinking Olive Oil in search for material prosperity and wealth, as it was unbiblical and a heresy.

Uganda’s Evangelical Churches were shocked as no one in Uganda had heard any Pastor openly rebuke a “Powerful Anointed Man of God” like Pastor Joseph Sserwada. We thought that Pastor Martin Ssempa was going to drop dead and be cursed the rest of his life because our Pastors taught us then “never to touch the Anointed Men of God”.

Pastor Martin Ssempa

However, Pastor Martin Ssempa still lives to this day and is well and alive. My life never stayed the same ever since, I grabbed by critical thinking, reason, and intellect which I had cast aside in fear of “touching the anointed men of God” and decided I would never take the so-called Men of God at face value… The Ayedepo Prosperity Olive Oil drinking movement faded away.

Yet still Bishop Oyedepo flies to Uganda aboard in his private Gulf Stream Jet and is received with all pomp by his Ugandan Followers, after which he lashes out at genuine Ugandan Pastors who are calling for accountability, purity, and Sound Doctrine among Uganda’s Evangelical Church Leaders.

Is Bishop Oyedepo defending Pastor Kayanja????

In his conference in Kampala, Bishop Oyedepo castigated those who ‘speak against the servants of God’ and claimed that the Church in Africa had lost a decade because of infighting between Pastors…

“…He said that Christianity would disintegrate if religious leaders did not stop bickering. “The Church has lost her sense of stewardship and the role of transforming society. It has started disintegrating,” Oyedepo said, urging pastors to get back to the Bible truth instead of fighting one another. Quoting the Bible which says that Christians are the light of the world, Oyedepo said: “Anytime the Church stops shining, darkness will cover the earth.” For a decade, disputes have engulfed Born-again Christian churches, with pastors accusing one another of dishonesty and ungodliness. Today, prominent international evangelist Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral is struggling to uphold his reputation as fellow pastors, led by Solomon Male, accuse him of misconduct. Amid applause from thousands of believers who thronged the conference on Thursday evening, Oyedepo said it was not biblical to defame a servant of God…”
Sunday Vision, May 17, 2009: Church has lost sense of Focus

Bishop Oyedepo seemed to totally be out of touch with New Testament Scriptures and instead took on a ride with his populist comments among undiscerning Ugandan Evangelicals. Rather than call Ugandan Pastors to Sound Doctrine and Accountability, Bishop Oyedepo lowered himself to levels of simply playing Church Politics in order to throw support for his Prosperity Gospel comrade Robert Kayanja.

1 Timothy 3:1-3
(1) This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
(2) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
(3) Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

Titus 1:7-11
(7) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
(8) But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
(9) Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
(10) For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision:
(11) Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

Bishop Oyedepo seemed to conjecture that Africa’s dying and decaying Evangelicalism is a result of bickering among Pastors. Such thinking is not only simplistic but a form of escapism and deliberate ignoring of the duties of the office of a Bishop according to the New Testament, which calls for making sure the saints keep to Sound Biblical Doctrine.

Bishop Oyedepo forgets that he is supposed to contend earnestly for the faith that was delivered to the saints because false teachers and false prophets have with stealth entered the Church. Instead Bishop Oyedepo flirts around with the need of Pastors to return to Bible Truth after which he engages his audience in ‘Escapism Talk’, avoiding the Real issues affecting Uganda’s Evangelical Church and then he engages in ‘Positive Possibility Talk’ by casting his apocalyptic futuristic vision for the Church, a.k.a. his opinion about the future of Africa’s Evangelical Church.

Bishop Oyedepo should be ashamed of himself, why did he waste all his money and jet fuel to fly all the way from Nigeria to Uganda to simply engage in the “Don’t Touch the Anointed Men of God” Mantra? He should have simply sent handouts to Uganda to feed the poor with labels “Don’t Touch the Anointed Men of God” and his message would have been widely received.

Bishop Oyedepo did not even consider that the people he is trying to throw support for might actually be involved in Crimes of Child Abuse which could cause further embarrassment to his “global ministry”.

It is a shame that Bishop Oyedepo failed in his ‘Overseer’ Office to call for repentance, accountability, and sound doctrine among Ugandan Pastors.

Bishop Oyedepo should have been appreciating the efforts of the “small and little” unknown financially poor Ugandan Pastors who have been faithful to The Lord and His Word and have gone all the way to expose criminals in the Church and call for accountability among Ugandan Pastors and the need to return to Sound Bible Doctrine.

"...THE Bishop of the Nigerian-based Living Faith Ministries, commonly called the Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo, arrived in Uganda yesterday for a three-day gospel conference. Oyedepo, who arrived at Entebbe Airport aboard a personal jet, was received by a group of pastors and believers. He was driven in a 20-car convoy to Kampala..."Source: New Vision May 14, 2009: Bishop Oyedepo to preach at Africana

Those “small” Pastors might not even afford an economy class airline ticket to Nigeria but at least they have not sold their integrity and faithfulness to Jesus Christ and His Church. Those “small” Pastors deserved to be encouraged rather than ridiculed by a Nigerian Prosperity Gospel Kingpin flying with all pomp to bully poor Ugandan Pastors.

Besides his prosperity gospel and pomp, Bishop Oyedepo has built schools, clinics, and a University in Nigeria and many have benefited from his generosity by gaining a free education. However, Bishop Oyedepo should remember that you cannot separate the Cross from Charity and the Gospel from Giving. It would do Ugandans well to tell us that first we are sinners who need to repent rather than give out handouts and take the true Gospel away from us.

Yet Ugandans crave for accountability and are tired of corruption of both Politicians and Pastors – for the Priest, Prophet, and King are corrupt in Uganda and Bishop Oyedepo seems to wink at them...
