Phariseesism and religious hypocrisy : Porn star Ron Jeremy speaks at Hudsonville church

Comments

If Ron Jeremy was a completely converted porn star and did what Jesus said ("go and sin no more") then I would welcome him to speak and what a testimony it would be. The fact he is STILL working in the industry tells Daybreak attenders this is an acceptable lifestyle, which is COMPLETELY against the Bible. If he wants to attend church he should be welcomed, but certainly not able to voice his beliefs from the stage unless he had completely turned from his lifestyle. Bad move Daybreak...get your publicity in a way that pleases God...and quit trying to skew God's word! And by the way...just because he and other porn people "believe in God"...remember so does the devil!

I commend Daybreak for doing this. If anyone was there they know the message was NOT in promotion of porn. It was very clear that you must come to God through Jesus. The church is here for the sick, not the healthy. Ron was not given a platform to promote porn. Check out the link listed below to see the service for yourself.

It is not a matter of the church promoting porn, it is a matter of ethcis. He is still propigating this lifestyle, AND the word of God is very clear this is wrong. He say's the "industry & the chruch can coexsist" NO they cannot. That is the same stinking mentality as these yahoo's who want to promote "Chrislam" can Christianity and Islam, two religions that are polar opposits coexsist if we merge them together???? Not a chance. This is about apostate christianity and a sleeping apthtic church that is in a flouride induced coma from too much city water & GMO foods! You people are so very brainwashed it is pethetic...L.ord have mercy.

Yes....so when he PROMOTES porn AND the blend with faith, he is doing so in the church setting. This was invited and allowed and is wrong for "church". The word "church" means the "called out ones.' It refers to people having been drawn out from the sinful world that they previously lived in and into a new world where they can live to please God, being called "holy".

Pornography and religion CANNOT co-exist. This man is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The Bible says if you even look at a woman who is not your wife- you are guilty of lust and you have committed adultery in your heart. Christians are to be separate from the world. Porography is the number one destroyer of marriages. If the Church of Jesus Christ is to be triumphant, then it should fight against anything unholy and ungodly, not welcome it with open arms.

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Hundreds of people attended a Hudsonville church Sunday to hear a famous adult film actor speak at an event.

Ron Jeremy spoke at Daybreak Church in Hudsonville, causing some curious conversations among members of the church.

"Some of the people I work with and some of the people I know were wondering why would he ever be coming to speak at our church," church member Julie Murphy said.

Jeremy played piano and harmonica to warm up the crowd before his light and upbeat message. He was invited as part of a duo; he spoke alongside California pastor Craig Gross. Gross runs the website www.XXXChurch.com, a ministry aimed at helping those with an addiction to pornography.

Jeremy, who was raised Jewish, spoke briefly about his life in the industry; admitting he still works and has been with more than 2,000 women. Throughout the years, however, he has had several personal experiences that have brought him closer to God; one of them was surviving a car wreck with the late pastor/comedian Sam Kinison.

"The car didn't hit a single tree. It was a forest...[the car] missed every tree at 60 miles an hour upside down," Jeremy said.

But Jeremy holds the belief that pornography and religion can co-exist.

"I don't think the Lord above has a problem with consenting adults, having consenting romance, for consenting adults to watch. Period. But again the whole sex outside marriage, The Bible has got a problem with that and that's where me and most of the people here are never going to agree on that," Jeremy said.

He added, "The vast majority of porn stars believe in God."

Most of the audience was pleased to see Jeremy in a whole new way.

"I wasn't offended. He's kind of coming to see the light and recognizing that there is truth to faith and belief, and really glad I came to hear him today," Murphy said.
