The most revered building in the Catholic pilgrimage town of Lourdes stands untouched on high yesterday as flood waters rage down below.
And so does the statue of the Virgin Mary, where the Madonna is said to have appeared before a local girl in 1858, although you’d need a boat to get to her.
The Gave de Pau river, which runs through Lourdes – where the sick and disabled head for a cure – burst its banks following days of heavy rain, causing widespread flooding.
Hundreds of Britons were among those evacuated as torrents of muddy water rushed through the town in South West France, leaving up to 1,000 vulnerable people stranded.
Tour guide Phil Lomas said: “It’s a very worrying situation – everybody has been told to evacuate and get on to higher ground.
"There are real safety concerns here, especially for those in wheelchairs, or who are otherwise disabled.”
Thierry Castillo, the custodian of the Lourdes sanctuary, said: “The space in front of the grotto is entirely flooded, with the altar under water. There are torrents of mud. The damage will cost thousands.”
Yesterday is was still covered by around three feet of water.

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception - the most revered building in Lourdes remained undamaged as it is set on high ground.
Heavy rain is forecast to continue in the region until well into this week.
The Lourdes sanctuary, which hosts 22 places of worship, was founded after 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous claimed to have witnessed a series of visions of Mary in a cave.
Since then, people suffering illness or disability claim to have been miraculously cured by the town’s spring water.
Some six million people now visit Lourdes, which is in the foothill of the Pyrenees, every year - making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

The lady of sludge in Lourdes in France

25th of October 2012. Hundreds of pilgrims had to be rescued by boats in the streets of Lourdes in Southern France. Idols were washed away into the roaring river.
20th of June 2013: Heavy floods in southwest France have left two dead and forced the closure of the Catholic pilgrimage site in Lourdes and the evacuation of pilgrims from nearby hotels.

The Roman Catholic “holy altar” in Lourdes was filled with mud and sludge.
Hundreds of Britons were among those evacuated as torrents of muddy water rushed through the town in South West France, leaving up to 1,000 vulnerable people stranded.
Thierry Castillo, the custodian of the Lourdes sanctuary, said: “The space in front of the grotto is entirely flooded, with the altar under water. There are torrents of mud. The damage will cost thousands.”

My comment:
I might cross the line by calling this madonna the “lady of sludge”. But there are many other names that could have been given to this copy-cat mother of the Messiah.
Some of them are quite relevant, after studying the flood that covered this township in France this weekend.
The lady of mud.
The lady of floods
The lady of fish
What about the lady of clay?
Lets take a look at more photo’s:

This is the “Holy Altar” of Lourdes, before the flood.

Saturday, the altar was completely under water.

Not by the rivers of Babylon, but the altar has completely disappeared.
 Leviticus 26:30
I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you.

This man might have caught a salmon with this kind of equipment.
This Roman Catholic altar were totally submerged. River fish of different kinds could fill the place where the priests adored their idols.
I have been in Lourdes. I have never seen more idols being offered in the shops.  When the flood came, all the idols drowned.

This copy of the Madonna was not able to escape the wrath of the river Pau.

The idols inside this shop in Lourdes were floating around in the shop.
 Revelation 18
For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.

Not easy to be an idol when the days of Noah were repeated in Lourdes.
The idols were not able to rescue them selves, and obviously no one else.

Even the Catholic priests were is deep trouble when the flood washed away the faithful.
 Jeremiah 7:18
The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke me to anger.

The first disciples were fishermen. The last will be rescue workers.

If this is a copy of the ark, than the idols and the Madonna had to be left behind.
At the end of the floods, the governmental forces were called in to clean up the mess.

Broad is the road that leads to destruction. Here the river has washed out a place of idol worship, used by the death cult of Mary.
 1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
My best guest is that Roman Catholics have learned nothing, and will soon continue to worship their worthless idols in this place.

      My reply:
Since you have come to this site by your own free will, feel free to look around. In particular, read about the Roman Catholic worship of skull, corpses and bones.
