Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha who fleed Uganda is again in hot waters following child neglect accusations from his baby mama.
28-year-old Sarah Nakuya claims that the celebrated city pastor has over the past three years failed to provide for the child he sired with her.
She came out to raise her concern to the public after she failed to raise school fees for her child who has to return to school as schools resume.
She explained that she tried to have an amicable understanding with Pastor Mondo Mugisha in order not to expose him but all her efforts were in vain.
The only time she came close to achieving that was when she reported him to police and Mondo got summoned thrice, she says.
Upon appearing at Police after the third summon, he pledged to support the child by giving him Shs300k per month.
He only took on the responsibility for two months and for three years now, he has never given a coin to Nakuya to support the child.
Since Pastor Mondo is out of the country, Nakuya has pleaded to Deputy Speaker Anita Among and Prime Minister Hon. Robbina Nabanjja to give her assistance in order to see her child return to school.
She, however, wants the authorities to arrest Pastor Mondo wherever he is stating that she has shed enough tears while requesting for child support and she wants him to feel the same pain.
It should be remembered that Pastor Mondo fleed the country on conspiracy charges, a case in which he was implicated of obtaining money by false pretence in the name of offering scholarships to students.

Renowned city ‘Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha of Empowerment Christian Centre Church International is currently enmeshed in a child neglect misunderstanding with a one Sarah Nakuye, who says she is the mother of the pastor’s eleven-year-old boy.
Nakuye claims to have been looking after the child from day one and she is now tired.
According to Nakuye, when Museveni announced the reopening of schools, she tried to reach out to Pastor Mondo to inform him but the man of God refused to pick up her calls.
Nakuye says she has taken the matter to court after three failed attempts to get the Pastor in negotiations with her.
She added that the Pastor agreed to pay a sum of shs 300,000 but he only fulfilled the pledge for the first two months and has not paid any child support fees for the last three years.
Nakuye further reveals that Mondo had pledged to provide for the child as long as she never took him to his church.
“He told me he never wanted the kid to be seen by his flock but he would be providing for him and it was okay with me but now I am tired of covering up for him because kids are back to school and it seems he is not willing to help that is why I have come out,” she said.
“He no longer wants to pick my calls. He blocked all my phones. Even when I try calling him using other people’s phones, he picks but ends the call as soon as he hears my voice on the other end. Now, how else can I hear from him other than going to (his) church?” Nakuye lamented.
While speaking to a local TV station, Nakuye said that she is now left with no other option, because she went to pastors to help her talk to Mondo but it seems they are also not willing to help yet she wants the boy to go back to school like other kids.
“I have visited different pastors to help me but they have not helped yet. All I want is for Mondo to provide school fees for his kid. I have now taken the matter to court,” Nakuye said.
Mondo is not the first pastor to be accused of neglecting his children.
The late Pastor Augustine Yiga was also taken to court in 2015 when he refused to remit monthly maintenance fee of Shs150,000 to a woman he allegedly raped and fathered a child with as she sought to be prayed for at his church.
Last year former Busiro South Member of Parliament (MP) Pastor Peter Ssematimba was also battling a child custody case with his former house girl.

Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha of Empowerment Christian Centre Church International has been accused of child neglect.
“I sat down with him as a grown up and urged him to provide for the child in vain. I didn’t want to embarrass him until I was left with no choice,” said Sarah Nakuya, the mother of the 11-year-old allegedly sired by Mondo.
While appearing on Bukedde TV today, she narrated that she had been to various police stations and pastors over Mondo’s alleged child negligence, but she was not helped.
Nakuya revealed that Mondo had been summoned to court severally over child neglect, but he didn’t show up.
“At the third court summon, Mondo showed up. He was told to contribute sh300,000 monthly towards the child’s upkeep. He only contributed the money for two months,” she said.

According to Nakuya, it’s now three years since Mondo last gave child support. The child is in P6. Nakuya lamented that her child is unable to go to school due to lack of fees.
Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court has now issued an arrest warrant for Mondo for child neglect.
In January last year, he fled the country, saying his life was in danger. He stationed in South Africa. Prior to his escape, Mondo, together with singers Catherine Kusasira and Nabbi Omukazi, among others, appeared before the State House Anti-corruption Unit over a sh5b fraud in December 2020. He is now in the US.

Franklin Mondo Mugisha is a pastor and businessman. In case you don’t know who exactly he is, he is that burly and flamboyant man, who, one time on an NTV Tuwaye clip, energetically said: “If you are a pastor and you are a liar, a womaniser… hell is waiting for you.”
Presently out of the country following what he terms as a ‘witch hunt’, Pastor Mondo’s current woes have put him straight in hell. A woman called Sarah Nakuya has claimed that he has not been providing child support for their son.
Although Pastor Mondo initially came out to deny the paternity of the child, claiming that the timing had to do with fights from fellow pastors, he later back tracked.
Even without DNA results, which he vehemently demanded for before he provided support for his now 11-year-old son, he changed his mind and offered to fully support the child.
When Nakuya recently exposed him in the media, Mondo rushed and paid a sh280,000 deposit on the boy’s school fees of sh1.2m. He blamed the small amount on COVID-19 woes, where churches were not in business.
However, in an exclusive interview with Vision Group’s Bukedde TV, Nakuya revealed that Mondo is expected to make a payment of sh10m in arrears as stipulated by court. This is after defaulting for three years in child support.
“I have struggled as a woman to bring up his child. Whenever I tell him the child is sick, he claims to be worse off. He should go to court and pay for the three years he has defaulted. He was supposed to pay sh300,000 and he did so for two months. When I asked him for money, he went ahead and blocked me,” she narrated.
With hindsight, Nakuya revealed that looks are deceptive. When she met Mondo almost 12 years ago, his appearance melted her. When he said, “hello,” she gawked. When he spoke, she was hooked. A pregnancy followed and his true colours manifested.
“When I told him I was pregnant, he was calm and reassuring. He told me I was going to have a cute baby. He rented a house for me on Entebbe Road, and we lived as wife and husband,” Nakuya said.
He woke up one day and left.
“He blocked me on all possible avenues. I only saw him two years after I had given birth. It took the intervention of Pastor Robert Kayanja for the meeting to happen,” she narrated.
Nakuya said Mondo acted like a doting dad when he saw his son.
“He owned up and even paid the boy’s fees for nursery school. He continued up to Primary Two and then gave up again. After I pleaded with him, he paid the boy’s fees until Primary Four,” she lamented.
Nakuya denied that she’s being used to spoil Mondo’s name.
“He knows his problems. He shouldn’t use me as a pawn in his battles with other pastors. He knows the truth, let him face it,” she declared.
Nakuya said following her recent exposé on him, Mondo called her panicking, “Sarah… I beg you to withdraw that warrant and I do what you want…” She refused to oblige.
“I refused basing on the hardships he had taken me through. I want him to take care of his son as he does for his other children,” she stated.
Nakuya relayed that Mondo was once relieved of his duties as a preacher at a certain TV when they learnt that he was a neglector.
“He brags about having money, how he cares for 27 people. Why can’t he take care of my son? Is it too much to ask for?” she concluded
