COVID19 is not the end of the world. It is simply the beginning of sorrows. When I was preaching in the morning service towards the end of last year, I told the saints that numbers have spiritual meanings. I told people that the year 2020 means 10+10 or 10x2 basing on the last two digits. It can also mean 5x4 basing on the least two digits. Number ten according to the bible means testing or tribulation. For example the bible says according to Exodus 12: 3, that the children of Israel were to pick a lamb on the tenth day and this lamb had to be tested for four days in order to establish whether it was the perfect sacrifice(Exodus 12:6).
Ruth 1:4 tells us that Naomi dwelt
in Moab
for 10 years . This was a period
of tribulation and testing for her because she lost her husband and two sons. Number
5 means grace . Remember David picked five stones and out of the five, he used
one to smash Goliath (I Samuel 17:40 & 49)).
This means that by the grace of the one true God of Israel, David was able to
defeat Goliath.
God gave the children of Israel ten commandments in Exodus 20 to test whether they
would walk in right standing with him and on many occasions, they failed the
test . The children of Israel walked in the wilderness for 40 years. The number
40 here means 10x4 or 10+ 10+10+10. The number simply means testing times four or trials times four or tribulation times
four. We all agree that the children of Israel went through a lot of trials,
testing of faith and tribulations in the wilderness. Lastly but not least in Malachi 3: 8 God challenges the children
of Israel to bring all the tithes into the storehouse and test him whether he will not pour out a blessing
which they cannot contain. The word tithe means a tenth.
Thus, each person was required to pay a tenth. It
must be noted that Christians are not required to pay tithes.
Therefore the year 2020 means tribulation times two or testing times two.
It also means grace times four. As we have already
seen, a number of people have experienced
a lot of testing and tribulation due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Many people of God are going to experience grace times four
during this COVID -19 pandemic. By the grace of God, the lives of a number of people in the USA, China, UK,
Uganda, Malawi, Kenya, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Croatia etc are going to be
preserved by God.
Do not commit
suicide, God is in Control. Do not lose hope, this will come to pass and
your life will go back to normal. The COVID 19 trial has come to remind us not to
put out trust in money, States, jobs, government welfare, men of God, churches
etc. Our Trust must be in the lord Jesus Christ alone. We must abandon all
false religions such as; Catholicism, Islam, Anglicanism, African Traditional
Religion, Hinduism, Buddhism etc and run to the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation.
We must accept to be born again.
COVID 19 has come to shatter our trust in all false spiritualities.
God is reminding us that all these carnal things we cherish so much; these
material idols that have become Gods in our lives can abruptly come to an end.
They are all vanity of vanities. We need to put our trust on the Lord Jesus
Christ who is silver purified seven times(seven
means perfection)(Psalms 12:6).
