From Uganda to Congo Brazzaville the similar tale of Africa Neo-liberal dictators : Communications cut as Congo president seeks to extend 32-year rule: Tensions have been high since an October constitutional referendum that ended a two-term limit on presidential mandates, allowing 72-year-old former paratrooper colonel Sassou Nguesso to run for office again. The vote also removed a 70-year age limit for the presidency that could have forced one of Africa's five longest-serving leaders to step down.

Posted  Tuesday, March 22  2016 at  11:53Communications lines were cut in Congo for a second day Monday and business was slack, hit by fears of post-election trouble as the country waited to see if President Denis Sassou Nguesso will keep his grip on power.
The streets of the capital, Brazzaville, were less crowded than usual and there was little traffic on major roads linking the city's north-south quarters, an AFP reporter said.
The head of the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) told the media that vote counting had been completed and the nationwide results were in the process of being tabulated, without indicating when they might be announced.
Government spokesman Thierry Moungalla told AFP the results of Sassou Nguesso's bid to extend his 32-year rule will be announced "in a few hours, or a few days".
Government offices remained open Monday but business was slow at the city's biggest market, which sells everything from computers to caterpillars and traditional charms.
"People are scared, scared of the result," said a taxi driver.
Inside the market, a coconut seller said "there haven't been too many people... people are scared the results will be released today and there could be tensions".
Congolese authorities shut down telephone and Internet links during the Sunday vote and on Monday for "reasons of security and national safety".
But Charles Zacharie Bowao, coordinator of the CTE opposition alliance, said the coalition was compiling results itself, based on reports from counting centres.
According to their count opposition candidate Guy-Brice Parfait Kolelas said he was "far, very far ahead in Brazzaville".
- Poverty, squalor, unemployment -Tensions have been high since an October constitutional referendum that ended a two-term limit on presidential mandates, allowing 72-year-old former paratrooper colonel Sassou Nguesso to run for office again.
The vote also removed a 70-year age limit for the presidency that could have forced one of Africa's five longest-serving leaders to step down.
But Sunday's vote passed off largely peacefully, aside from an incident when police tear-gassed 200 opposition supporters demanding to be let into a polling station to observe the counting.
Sassou Nguesso has said he has no doubt he will beat his eight rivals, describing election day as a "penalty kick and then victory".
On Friday, five rival presidential contenders -- including former military chief Jean-Marie Mokoko -- signed an agreement to back the strongest candidate among them in the event of a second round vote.

European and Commonwealth monitors say poll falls short of democratic benchmarks as former guerilla leader claims fifth term in power

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, in power since 1986, was re-elected for his fifth term on Saturday after winning a poll marked by suppression and violence.
Mr Museveni, the 71-year-old son of a cattle herder, won 60 per cent of the 9.7 million votes cast in the election, defeating his closest rival Kizza Besigye, who took 35 per cent, according to the Electoral Commission.
Election observers, who include the Commonwealth Observer Mission and the European Observer Mission, say the ballot fell short of key democratic benchmarks after the shutdown of social media sites Facebook and Twitter and the arrest of the Mr Besigye.
The EU Election Observer Mission said in a statement that the ruling National Resistance Movement’s (NRM’s) domination of the political landscape distorted the fairness of the campaign and state actors were instrumental in creating “an intimidating atmosphere for both voters and candidates”.
The Uganda Communication Commission blocked access to social media on election day which unreasonably constrained freedom of expression and access to information, it said.

“Intimidation and harassment of opposition by police and law enforcement bodies, as well as arrests of supporters and voters were reported from more than 20 districts," the EU said.
"Opposition candidates’ ability to campaign freely was restricted on several instances during the campaign period.”

Rioting broke out across the capital, Kampala, when news broke that the police had arrested Mr Besigye, President Musveni’s personal doctor when they were guerrilla fighters, in his office for running an illegal parallel vote counting center.
Mr Museveni, who is from the Banyankole ethnic group, helped Tanzania and other rebels oust the Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in 1979.
In 1981 he played a key role in the rebellion that ousted Milton Obote.
He came to came to power in 1986 after defeating the military junta of Tito Okello.

His government brought stability and economic growth to Uganda, with donors eager to plough money into the country after decades of conflict.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s Uganda was hit by a massive Aids pandemic. Museveni was praised for overseeing a comprehensive Aids programme, giving hundreds thousands access to prevention, treatment and care services.
In recent years. however, Museveni has become increasingly authoritarian, with his opponents accusing him of favouring his Banyankole tribesmen for important positions.
His presidency has also been marred by involvement in civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other Great Lakes region conflicts.

Ugandan forces were accused of looting minerals from the DRC.
Donors have also cut funding over Museveni's banning of homsexuality.
In 2005 Museveni signed signed a constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage.

KAMPALA. Minister for General Duties in the Prime Minister’s Office Tarsis Kabwegyere has said election losers should learn to accept results no matter the malpractices because stealing votes is part of life.
Prof Kabwegyere was on Friday speaking at a public dialogue on the election process in Uganda organised by Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE). He said although it is painful to be cheated in an election, the aggrieved persons should learn to “live with it.”
“If you are cheated as many times as some people have been, please accept that being cheated is a possibility and please live with it,” Prof Kabwegyere said.
In 2001 and 2006, the Supreme Court agreed with Dr Kizza Besigye of the opposition Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) that there were gross electoral malpractices in both presidential elections but ruled that despite all those anomalies, they would not annul President Museveni’s election.
Prof Kabwegyere also disputed the strength of the Opposition in the country, saying there is no way they can govern without majority members in parliament.
“If you can’t field candidates in constituencies to give you a majority in parliament, how do you expect to run a democracy which is dependent on numeracy? Mr Kabweyere asked.
At the same dialogue, retired Justice James Ogoola preached peace and reconciliation as the ideal way forward for the country.
Weakness in justice system
However, Ms Sheila Kawamara-Mishambi, a member of Uganda Women’s Network, challenged Mr Ogoola saying the justice system, like many other institutions, cannot guarantee redress to the aggrieved parties.
“If we are talking about stability, do not expect me to preach revolution. Revolution cannot bring stability. We are talking about wise choices,” Justice Ogoola shot back.
Former Kenyan ambassador to France, Bethuel Kiplagat, who gave a keynote address, said instability in Uganda directly affects Kenyans and that Africans should learn to solve domestic problems peacefully.
“No single soul should die because of election, before, during or after,” ambassador Kiplagat said.
Kenya at risk
“Our economy in Kenya depends on you and I think, two or three per cent of the [Gross Domestic Product] depends on you [Uganda]. It is you who have made it for us. So, we have deep interest here, we cannot leave you…we are tied together,” he added.
Mr Richard Todwong, the deputy secretary general of the ruling NRM, said the party is experiencing transition from the old guard to new crop. He said that transition will soon include the party chairman Yoweri Museveni.

There Is No “Holy Father” On Earth, But There is One In Heaven Above!

There Is No “Holy Father” On Earth, But There is One In Heaven Above!

There is only one person who deserves the title of “Holy Father” and he is sitting on a throne in Heaven, not on a throne over in the Vatican. Peter is often referred to as the first Pope of the Roman Catholic church, but when you study the scriptures you will find that Peter was just another Christian who refused and disdained the praise which came from man. If Peter were to walk through St Peter’s Square, and visit the Vatican in Rome he would be appalled by all of the gaudy idolatry and man-made traditions of the Catholic church. If you study the scriptures you can get the true picture of Peter fairly easily. In the book of Acts Peter rebuked a man who fell down on the floor to worship him, because he knew that he was merely a redeemed sinner, who was saved by the mercy and grace of God:
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and WORSHIPPED HIM. But Peter took him up, saying, STAND UP; I myself also am a man. (Acts 10:25-26)
Peter would NOT put up with such idolatry, and he let that man Cornelius know right away. Fast forward to modern times, and you will see people bowing down like little puppy dogs before the Catholic Popes, kissing their rings, and paying homage to them wherever they may go. This is actually something that has been going on for centuries. The Catholic Popes, including the current Pope Francis, are often referred to as the Holy Father or His Holiness when the true Christian knows that those titles are reserved only for God himself. The apostle Peter walked side by side with the Lord Jesus Christ, so he would have have heard, and known the instruction which the Lord gave addressing any man as Father!
And call NO MAN your FATHER upon the earth: for ONE is your FATHER, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for ONE is your MASTER, even CHRIST. (Matthew 23:9-10)
Roman Catholics are taught to address their local parish priest as “Father” from the time they are a small child. They will continue to address their Catholic priests as Father until the day they die, unless of course they get saved, and are delivered out from that deceptive system. This whole idea of multitudes of people bowing their knee to a man, and calling him “Holy Father” or “His Holiness” is demonic in origin, and rotten to the very core. People by the millions have been ensnared over the centuries, because they are worshiping and following a man, and not the Lord.
The word DEIFY is defined as “to make a god out of, to glorify as of supreme worth” and that is exactly what is done regarding the Roman Catholic Popes.
Cornelius was a humble man, and at the Lord’s request Peter (through a vision) was sent to instruct him. When Peter arrived at the place where Cornelius and his friends were gathered, Cornelius threw himself down on the floor to worship him, and Peter rebuked him because he knew that in and of himself he was nothing but a hell deserving sinner like the rest of us. Peter knew his place and he knew that the Lord was using him as a simple vessel to bring the truth of the gospel to Cornelius and his friends.
Peter was a Jewish man who knew that he was purchased and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and you can rest assured that Peter would bring that message to Cornelius and his friends. Here is a passage from the Bible from one of Peter’s letters
And if ye call on the FATHER, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were NOT REDEEMED with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received BY TRADITION from your fathers; But with the precious BLOOD of CHRIST, as of a LAMB without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1:17-19)
Peter knew that it was the blood, the blood, and nothing but the blood, that redeemed his wretched soul from a fiery hell, and that is the message that Cornelius and friends needed to hear. Peter knew that there was a connection between the Jewish passover sacrifice of an unblemished male lamb, and the perfect sacrifice of the unblemished (sinless) Lamb of God, which speaks of Jesus Christ. Peter knew full well that this man Cornelius needed to be corrected quickly, lest that type of thinking would get deep into his spiritual system. Trust me folks, I am a former Roman Catholic, and I have been REDEEMED and JUSTIFIED by the BLOOD of Jesus Christ. It is time to forsake the man-made traditions of the Roman Catholic church for the sake of your OWN soul, and for the sake of YOUR loved ones. Jesus Christ paid the price in FULL, and you do not have to have your sins JUSTIFIED at the Roman Catholic Mass! I have been SAVED since 1989, and the Lord Jesus Christ has never let me down! Call upon the Lord from YOUR own heart, and in your own way. You do not have to be fancy with the Lord because he truly does LOVE you. He will SAVE you right now! Yes, right now! Do not put it off!
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us. Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, we shall be SAVED from WRATH through HIM.”  Romans 5:6-9
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be SAVED.”  Romans 10:13
Folks it is  Jesus Christ who has REDEEMED us by his BLOOD, and he will flood your soul with his peace AFTER you have been truly SAVED!. You do not have to worry about going to Purgatory either, because that place never existed in the first place. Trust me now, you can go directly to the Lord for salvation, without any other mediator but Jesus Christ!
“For there is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the man CHRIST JESUS;”  1Timothy 2:5
It is either Heaven or hell, with nothing in between! If a person has been truly born again of the Spirit, they are fully aware that they have received the mercy of God, and have been snatched from the highway to Hell by the grace of God. Any person who has been born again of the Spirit, also realizes that CHRIST, and Him alone, will always get ALL of the glory. That is the reason why Peter stopped this man from paying any homage to him. There is not one person on this earth who can be called HOLY outside of JESUS CHRIST and do not ever forget that. We are all on the same level ground, with no exceptions. It is true that the Lord will use people in different capacities, such as teachers, evangelists, preachers and other things, but that does not make them any holier than others. Do not ever forget that. The true Christian understands that their true Holy father is in heaven above (Matthew 23:9-10), and they know that by the Holy Spirit that dwells in them.
The SPIRIT itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we ARE the CHILDREN OF GOD: And IF CHILDREN, then HEIRS; HEIRS of GOD, and JOINT-HEIRS with CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also GLORIFIED TOGETHER. (Romans 8:16-17)
The true Christian knows that every person on planet earth is as lost as can be without salvation in Jesus Christ and that would include every Roman Catholic Pope. You have a choice to be a child of the TRUE “Holy Father,” and eternal God in HEAVEN, or to be a child of the earthly Roman Catholic Pope, who masquerades as the “Holy Father” on earth! Countless millions of Roman Catholic people are still subject to the man-made traditions of Rome, the Magisterium (Catholic teaching office) with the Pope at the head of it all. If you take a look in the book of Revelation you will see where an angel from Heaven absolutely refuse to be worshiped, after the apostle John fell down before him.
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou DO IT NOT: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the TESTIMONY OF JESUS: WORSHIP GOD: for the TESTIMONY OF JESUS is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:10)
Then saith he unto me, See thou DO IT NOT: for I am thy fellowservant, and of THY BRETHREN the prophets, and of them which KEEP THE SAYINGS of this book: WORSHIP GOD. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 22:9-10)
Keep those passages of scripture in mind, as you recall the centuries of praise and homage being paid to Roman Catholic Popes over the centuries. It is plain and simple idolatry when a person gives worship to any person [including angels] except the true and living God. We can see how the apostle John simply wanted to pay respect to this angel, whom he knew lived in the very presence of God, but the angel knew better than to receive worship from anyone. He knew that “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”  and it was the Lord who sent him to minister to John in the first place!
The current Pope Francis is expected to be in the USA in the Fall of 2015 and you can expect the usual pandering by the politicians to the Pope when he makes his arrival. It is very likely that the Presidential candidates will be right in the middle of this whole spectacle also. Watch for the deceived, and the compromised “Christians” to bring honor to the Pope, just like they have done to all the previous Popes. The Bible has a term for them, and Jesus Christ my redeemer called them “ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing.”
Beware of FALSE PROPHETS, which come to you in SHEEP’S CLOTHING, but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES.”  Matthew 7:15
The wolves can be found preaching in pulpits all over America, and the rest of the world too. They will attempt to convince you that the Pope is a true Christian, and the Roman Catholic church is just another Christian denomination. Do not listen to them folks, because they are not telling you the truth. I told the story before of how my wife Cathy and I met a Christian lady in church one day and had a nice conversation with her. She knew that we were ex-Catholics, and we happened to meet her again in the same spot almost a year later. She told us that she joined a Charismatic Catholic prayer group. I looked her straight in the eye and I told her to be careful, because they would have her praying the rosary before long. The woman looked at me and said “I feel sick, they already have me praying the rosary” The Catholic “rosary” is a set of beads, which represent different prayers. The majority of those beads represent “Hail Mary” prayers (50) and the Catholics repeat them over and over and over again! I attended Charismatic Catholic “Healing Masses” for almost three years, and the Charismatics still believe all of the doctrines of Rome, or they could not remain a true Roman Catholic! Folks, you are going to have to make a decision sooner or later whether you are going to listen and follow your deceived and compromising Pastor or whether you are going to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and his word! I hope that you make the right choice. You can expect to be slandered, and misrepresented but praise the Lord, because you are on solid ground with Jesus Christ!
What does all of this pandering to the Roman Catholic Popes have to do with the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ? Absolutely NOTHING! I can remember waiting for the arrival of Pope Paul VI at Kennedy Airport in October of 1965. The Catholic school class went there early in the morning, and I was right in the front along the roadway, with thousands of others, as the Papal limousine with the bubble back window passed by. It lasted no more than a few seconds, and I saw the the little white cap on the Pope’s head as he rode away. Thousands of the deceived, (including myself), waited to catch a glimpse of the “Holy Father.” Why? Because all of us were taught to believe that the Pope was the “Vicar of Christ” on Earth,” from the time that we were little children. I am so grateful that I know the real Holy Father in Heaven now. I am so grateful that I am no longer deceived and on my way to Hell as I was all those years ago. It is good to remember where you came from, and I will never forget that for sure. Here is actual quote from Jesus Christ my redeemer:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be SAVED. He that believeth on him is NOT condemned: but he that believeth NOT is condemned ALREADY, because he hath NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that LIGHT is come into the world, and men LOVED DARKNESS rather than LIGHT, because THEIR DEEDS were evil. For every one that doeth evil HATETH THE LIGHT, neither cometh to the LIGHT, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth TRUTH cometh to the LIGHT, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”  John 3:16-21
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM the LIGHT of the world: he that followeth me shall NOT walk in DARKNESS, but shall have the LIGHT of life.”  John 8:12

What Kind of Mercy Is This? Pope Francis Remains Silent On Protestants Jailed In Mexico For Refusing To Convert To Roman Catholicism!

What Kind of Mercy Is This? Pope Francis Remains Silent On Protestants Jailed In Mexico For Refusing To Convert To Roman Catholicism!

http://www.soulrefuge.org/?p=14551

In a year (2016) which the Roman Catholic Pope is preaching mercy for all, he still remains silent regarding the Roman Catholic authorities persecution of Protestant Christians in Chiapas, Mexico! Pope Francis did absolutely nothing to help the Protestant Christians in Mexico who were jailed after they refused to bend their knee to the local Roman Catholic authorities in Chiapas, Mexico. Those Christians had ALL of their property and land taken away from them, and then they jailed simply because they refused to convert to Roman Catholicism. Pope Francis was riding around in his Pope-Mobile, while Christians were left with absolutely NOTHING in the same town of Chiapas, Mexico one of the places that the Pope visited on his trip. Not only that, but  a Christianity Today Report  said that an Evangelical church was burnt down, the night before the Pope arrived in Mexico! Does the Pope have a conscience? The Roman Catholic Pope has been known to talk about the persecution of Christians, but he said absolutely nothing, and he did absolutely nothing to help the Protestants in Chiapas, Mexico. Did somebody say that Christians should join in unity with the Roman Catholic church?
Why is it that the mainstream media has not uttered a word about these atrocities, and the horrific persecution of true Christians, by the Roman Catholic authorities? Why is it that the major politicians are silent about these things also? Why is it that the big name “Christian” evangelists and ministry leaders say nothing about these things also? The Pope is still dissing (disrespecting) the REAL Jesus Christ and walking around with the title of “Holy Father” while he receives the adulation of millions of fans! The Pope refuses to take heed to the words of the real Jesus Christ who said this:
And call NO man your father upon the earth: for ONE is your Father, which is in HEAVEN.”  Matthew 23:9
The Pope continues to disrespect the warnings from the real Jesus Christ, by receiving the adulation of millions of fans, while he walks around in his long white robes!
Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.”  Luke 20:46-47
Wherever the Pope goes, the television cameras follow him, and that was what happened in Mexico also. The Pope went to Mexico to pay homage to “Our Lady of Guadalupe” which is the Mexican version of “Mother” Mary. When the Pope returned to Rome, he made sure that he put a bouquet of flowers before another image of Mary.
This is what is known as deception. I know because the real Jesus Christ set me free from that idolatry many years ago. Countless millions of Roman Catholics are still deceived by that to this very day. The Roman Catholic churches are filled with statues (graven images) of their man-made “saints” and “Mary” as well. I used to do the same things, until the Lord Jesus Christ opened my spiritual eyes and set me free! Glory to God, and Bless his Holy Name! I am amazed to this day that I was delivered from that gross DEMONIC darkness, because I have observed how people are being deceived inside Christian churches every single day. I did not know any better, and I realized later on, that the Roman Catholic church REMOVED the REAL Second Commandment from their catechism. Here is the REAL Second Commandment which forbids the idolatrous statues which fill Roman Catholic churches all over the world!
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”  Exodus 20:4-6
I was instructed out of the Roman Catholic catechism below, and I was taught in a deceitful way by the church of Rome. That Catholic catechism bears the Imprimatur of Rome, which means that the doctrines (teachings) contained inside are approved by the Roman Catholic church. They disrespected the very word of God, by REMOVING the Second Commandment, and creating two commandments out of the Tenth Commandment regarding covetousness.
Here is the REAL Tenth Commandment that the Roman Catholic church CHOPPED in half, so that they could ADD an extra commandment to make up for the one which they REMOVED!
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”  Exodus 20:17
The Pope continues to disrespect the real Jesus Christ by ADDING to his Word!
“What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not ADD thereto, nor DIMINISH from it.”  Deuteronomy 12:32
Will you choose to follow the Pope and HIS words, or will you choose to follow the word of God (the scriptures), and the REAL Jesus Christ who is going to judge you one day?
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the WORD that I have spoken, the same shall JUDGE him in the last day.”  John 12:47-48
Not only that, but the Pope continues to disrespect the REAL Jesus Christ by ADDING to the word of God, with their man-made traditions!
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. ADD thou NOT unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a LIAR.”  Proverbs 30:5-6
The Vatican, and the Roman Catholic Pope, has added to the word of God with their teachings on the Catholic Mass, Purgatory, the apocrypha (Rome’s added books), religious relics, Catholic “saints” and over 100 curses against those who disagree with their false teachings! Do you believe in the Roman Catholic Mass and it’s power to satisfy the justice of God, for both the living and the dead? If you don’t, then there is Catholic curse upon you. Do you believe in a place called Purgatory, where people go AFTER they die to be “purged” and made ready for Heaven? If you don’t then there is a Catholic curse upon you. Would it not be fair to call that Protestant bashing from the church of Rome? I mean we are talking about a religious system that curses those who disagree with her teachings! Cardinal Timothy Dolan even boasted about the Council of Trent, which instituted those curses in his radio podcast. Cardinal Timothy Dolan lives in a 30 million dollar mansion in the heart of New York City right near his church (St Patricks Cathedral), which recently underwent a 177 million dollar renovation.
What you see happening in Chiapas, Mexico is similar to what took place during the Middle Ages when the Roman Catholic system severely persecuted born again Bible believing Christians. Those Christians REFUSED the teachings of Rome, and the Roman Catholic church tortured and murdered millions of them! They refused to believe that the Pope was the Vicar of Christ. They refused to believe that the Catholic Mass satisfied the justice of God. They refused to believe that there was a place called Purgatory. They refused to believe that Mary was conceived without sin. They refused to believe that the Roman Catholic church was God’s true church. What happened? It cost them their very lives! That history has been covered up, but you can still find the true testimonies of people online in books such as Martyrs Mirror! Do you think that those Catholics were really Christians who tortured and murdered those Christians? Does that sound like something the REAL Jesus Christ would encourage his followers to do? The doctrines which those precious, and faithful Christian Martyrs fought against, are the EXACT same doctrines that the Roman Catholic church teaches in the year 2016!  Rome has simply changed her outer garments, with the Council of Vatican II but her teachings remain the same! Vatican II upheld ALL of the curses from the Council of Trent also! We have a Bible in our hands because of people such as William Tyndale who wanted to get the scriptures translated into the English language! Wake up and smell the coffee people, because things could change very quickly in the perilous times in which we live.
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”  2 Timothy 3:1
Does it not sound strange that the Pope would be pushing for unity with ALL Christians, considering his silence regarding the persecution of Protestants in Chiapas, Mexico. What would you if YOU were a Christian, and they took YOUR property away from you for refusing to convert to Roman Catholicism? What would you if YOU were a Christian and they confiscated ALL of your possessions and threw you into jail, for your refusal to convert to Roman Catholicism? Those things are happening right now in Chiapas, Mexico and there is nothing but SILENCE from the Pope and the mainstream media. The Roman Catholic Pope was holding a Mass on the American-Mexican border, while Protestant Christians were left without property, and land and were sitting in jails! Why? Because they refused to become Roman Catholics! There should be an outcry, and the Christians should have ALL of their property restored with interest. In an earlier post, I wrote about the true intentions of the Vatican, and the meaning of the Vatican Papal flag. It is worth repeating here, to show you what Rome is really up to.
Beware of False Friends!
Did you notice the Vatican Flag on the Pope’s little black Fiat as he rode around Washington D.C in his visit to America last year? That Vatican flag has the Vatican “coat of arms” plastered on it for all to see, and they want people to know that they are the ONE and ONLY true church in the entire world! It sounds pretty incredible does it not? The Papal Flag is usually seen on the various vehicles that transport the Pope, and it was seen on the little black Fiat car that Pope Francis rode around town in.
In that Vatican “coat of arms” you will find two keys crossed together, and they represent what they believe are the “keys” which were handed down to Peter. You will also notice what is known as the Papal tiara in that “coat of arms” and that is also called the “triple crown” (not related to baseball) because of it’s three tiers. The Papal Tiara was an actual crown, that was previously worn by many Popes, including Pope John XXIII.
The Papal Tiara or "Triple Crown"
The Papal Tiara or “Triple Crown”
The person whom the Roman  Catholic church declares to be the “Vicar of Christ on Earth” visited the United States of America in September 2015. I just happened to catch a  live video of the Pope’s arrival at the airport, and the screaming reminded me of the reception that the Beatles got when they arrived at Kennedy Airport in New York City. There was a military entourage there to greet the Pope, and many young school children were in a fenced off area nearby. It reminded me of the time when Pope Paul VI came to visit the USA in 1965, and I went with my Catholic grammar school class to Kennedy Airport to await his arrival. I can remember seeing the Pope ride by in his bubble back limousine, and the whole thing lasted no more than a few seconds. I can remember seeing the little beany (skullcap) on the Pope’s head and wondering what this whole thing was about. Here is the meaning of the Papal tiara:
The Papal Tiara or “Triple Crown”
The words that were used when popes were crowned were:
Accipe tiaram tribus coronis ornatam, et scias te esse patrem principum et regum, rectorem orbis in terra vicarium Salvatoris nostri Jesu Christi, cui est honor et gloria in saecula saeculorum
(“Receive the tiara adorned with three crowns and know that thou art father of princes and kings, ruler of the world, vicar on earth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, to whom is honour and glory for ever and ever”). (Wikipedia, Papal Tiara)
Did you read that? The Papal Tiara which was a crown that most Pope’s wore upon their heads has some real symbolism to it. It does not matter if the present pope does not wear that crown, because the symbolism of the Vatican has NEVER changed at all!
They still teach and believe that the Roman Catholic Pope FULFILLS thee THREE things!
1] Thou art father of princes and kings,
2] Ruler of the world,
3] Vicar on earth of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
Folks it has always been the desire of the church of Rome to rule the earth, with both Temporal and Spiritual power. They believe and teach that the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH is the ONE and ONLY true church on earth. So take a good look at that Papal Coat of Arms and understand that Rome has NEVER changed ONE solitary doctrine within that religious system, and they have no intention of doing so in the future! What you saw on the Pope’s trip to America which included his preaching to Congress and the United Nations, was nothing more than political and religious propaganda!
” . . . TAKE HEED that no man DECEIVE you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5)
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”  Matthew 7:15
The Jewish apostle Paul prophesied almost 2000 years ago about grievous wolves that would enter the church, and draw away disciples after them. We are living in that day folks. There is blood upon the hands of the Pope in Rome, and there is blood upon the hands of the “Christian” leaders who work hand in hand with him also. There are tens of thousands of plastic religious puppets, who have been SEDUCED by Rome and her “doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1), and so they never warn their flocks about them!
“Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.”  Acts 20:26-31

Press Statement

Mark C. Toner
Deputy Department Spokesperson
Washington, DC
February 20, 2016

The United States commends the Ugandan people for participating actively and peacefully in the February 18 elections. While the vote occurred without major unrest, we must acknowledge numerous reports of irregularities and official conduct that are deeply inconsistent with international standards and expectations for any democratic process.

Delays in the delivery of voting materials, reports of pre-checked ballots and vote buying, ongoing blockage of social media sites, and excessive use of force by the police, collectively undermine the integrity of the electoral process. The Ugandan people deserved better. We are also concerned by the continued house arrest of opposition presidential candidate Kizza Besigye. We call for his immediate release and the restoration of access to all social media sites.

We encourage those who wish to contest the election results to do so peacefully and in accordance with Uganda’s laws and judicial process, and urge the Ugandan government to respect the rights and freedoms of its people and refrain from interference in those processes.

U.S. Calls for Release of Uganda’s Opposition Leader

KAMPALA, Uganda — The United States called for the release of Uganda’s chief opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, who has been under house arrest since Friday, before President Yoweri Museveni was declared the winner of a presidential election marred by widespread irregularities.
Mr. Museveni won last week’s vote with more than 60 percent of the vote, according to the electoral commission; Mr. Besigye had 35 percent.

“We call for his immediate release and the restoration of access to all social media sites,” the State Department said Saturday evening. “Delays in the delivery of voting materials, reports of pre-checked ballots and vote buying” and “excessive use of force by police” had undermined the vote, it said.
“The Ugandan people deserved better.”

Mr. Besigye was arrested Friday after the police stormed his party’s headquarters. He was there tallying votes, which his party said included wins at polling sites in Uganda’s north, in Kampala and in other areas of the country. The election ran smoothly around the countryside, according to electoral observers, but not in Kampala, the capital, where opposition parties get much of their support. Voting there started up to seven hours late because the ballot papers were not available.
Mr. Besigye rejected the electoral commission’s results.

On Sunday, access to social networking sites remained blocked. Equally critical, mobile-money services — the equivalent of using a debit card — also remained blocked.
Both Mr. Besigye, as well as another candidate, Amama Mbabazi, the second-most popular challenger, and until recently the prime minister, remained under effective house arrest. Gen. Katumba Wamala was also said to be under scrutiny, after results showed Mr. Museveni had not performed well at the polls at army barracks. A Uganda army spokesman said soldiers were “free to choose anyone they want.”

“Democracy is on trial,” Mr. Besigye said on Twitter, through a virtual private network.
Everything seemed so different last weekend. In elegant dress and sharp suits, the country’s elite rubbed shoulders and cameras followed candidates on the red carpet, as Ugandans watched their president publicly debate politics for the first time. There were several sharp exchanges, but the historic moment was heralded as metamorphic.

Since then, Mr. Besigye has been arrested four times, and at least two people have been killed and over 20 injured in rioting that the authorities have combated using tear gas and clubs.
“The state can do even more,” President Museveni said, in response to clampdowns on communication. “People who think the state is something to joke, that is just a test.” He also hinted he would be ready to work with Mr. Besigye and Mr. Mbabazi if they returned to his governing party, a sign that mediation from foreign powers could become effective.
As night fell on Sunday, so did the veil on the Internet, and underneath lay the silenced remains of Thursday’s anguish.

“I wll never vote ag’n,” read a Twitter post from one voter who wrote that Mr. Besigye had 1,256 votes compared with 628 votes for Mr. Museveni at his polling site when the results were tallied Thursday. But the commission had said Mr. Museveni garnered 827 votes and Mr. Besigye 260.
One screenshot posted to Twitter of results suggested that Mr. Museveni had earned 760 votes, compared with just two votes for Mr. Besigye, at a polling station with only 437 registered voters.
A video posted online showed voters at one polling site seemingly voting on torn rips of school notebook paper.

“Voice stolen thru ballot stuffing & cheating,” read a Twitter post from Winnie Byanyima, the wife of Mr. Besigye, a political force herself, and the executive director of the charity Oxfam International.

Ugandan election commission lacks 'independence': EU observers

European Union observers on Saturday criticised Uganda's elections, saying the electoral commission lacked transparency and accusing the police of using heavy-handed tactics in detaining an opposition candidate.
The EU report comes as President Yoweri Museveni eyes a fifth term in power with a clear lead, hours before expected final poll results, with his closest rival under police guard at home.
While "voting was conducted in a calm and peaceful environment in the vast majority of the country", the EU observers noted a "lack of transparency and independence of the Electoral Commission."
The election was disrupted in the capital Kampala by the late arrival of ballot boxes and papers and angry demonstrations by frustrated voters that police quelled using tear gas.
At nearly 28,000 other polling centres voting passed off smoothly, but voting was extended for a second day on Friday in 36 places after delays.
Commonwealth observers echoed similar concerns.
"Key concerns...(were) the increased prevalence of money in politics, the misuse of state resources - which led to significant advantages for the incumbent - and the competence, credibility and ability of the Electoral Commission to manage the process effectively and impartially," the 13-nation Commonwealth Observer Group said, headed by former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
"The inexcusable delays of supply of material to polling stations, particularly in Kampala and its environs, and other deficiences in the process... have seriously detracted from the fairness and credibility of the result of the elections."
Opposition leader Kizza Besigye was arrested for a third this week on Friday, and remained under police guard at his home on Saturday.
Police surrounded his Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) headquarters on Friday, firing tear gas and using water cannon, before storming the building and arresting him, saying they wanted to prevent him from unilaterally proclaiming his vote score.
"This action severely violates freedom of expression," the EU said, also criticising the domination of Museveni's ruling NRM party.
"The National Resistance Movement (NRM's) domination of the political landscape distorted the fairness of the campaign, and state actors were instrumental in creating an intimidating atmosphere," it added.
Museveni, 71, and Besigye, 59, were once close. They fought together in a bush war to overthrow Uganda's first post-independence leader Milton Obote, during which Besigye served as Museveni's trusted personal physician.
EU members appealed to the rivals to find a peaceful solution once results are announced.
"It is essential that the challenges facing Uganda will be resolved within the democratic process in a peaceful manner," said Jo Leinen, a European MEP lawmaker from Germany.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni won 60 percent of the vote in Thursday's election, the electoral commission said. Here, a policeman chases opposition supporters on Friday.
KAMPALA, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni extended his 30-year rule on Saturday, winning an election that international observers said lacked transparency and his main opponent, under house arrest, denounced as a sham.
One of Africa's longest-serving leaders, Museveni won 60.8 percent of the vote, while main opposition candidate Kizza Besigye secured 35.4 percent, according to the electoral commission.
"We have just witnessed what must be the most fraudulent electoral process in Uganda," Besigye said in a statement, calling for an independent audit of the results.
Besigye, who had been detained three times this week, said he had been placed under house arrest. A Reuters reporter saw his home encircled by police in riot gear and media were barred from approaching it.
The United States on Friday urged Museveni to stop the security services harassing his opponents. Another of Museveni's rivals, former prime minister Amama Mbabazi, had also been put under house arrest, according to his spokeswoman.

Kizza Besigye, one of Museveni's main challengers, was placed under house arrests as the results were announced.

Museveni, 71, has presided over strong economic growth but is accused at home and abroad of repression of dissent and failing to tackle rampant corruption in the nation of 37 million people.
Museveni's ruling National Resistance Movement party said the veteran leader's victory showed that "opponents failed to offer any alternative apart from empty promises."
European and Commonwealth observers criticized the handling of Thursday's vote.
The EU observer mission said it had been conducted in an intimidating atmosphere, while Commonwealth observers said the poll "fell short of meeting some key democratic benchmarks."
Eduard Kukan, chief observer for the EU mission, told reporters in Kampala the poll had been undermined by a "lack of transparency and independence" at the Ugandan electoral commission.
"State actors created an intimidating atmosphere for both voters and candidates," he added.
Besigye urged the international community to denounce the poll win by Museveni, who has won favor with the West by sending Ugandan troops to Somalia to battle Islamist militants with ties to al Qaeda.
"Please reject the temptation to ratify this sham election," said Besigye, who was Museveni's personal doctor in the 1980s.

The opposition says the poll was rigged, and international observers criticized the lack of transparency and "intimidating atmosphere."

FACEBOOK, TWITTER BLOCKED
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called Museveni on Friday to voice concern over Besigye's detention, the harassment of opposition figures and the shutdown of social media such as Facebook and Twitter on election day.
"(Kerry) urged President Museveni to rein in the police and security forces, noting that such action calls into question Uganda's commitment to a transparent and credible election process free from intimidation," the U.S. State Department said on Friday.
Museveni replied to Kerry that Besigye had tried to assault a police officer and had not been arrested but rather escorted home by police, according to Ugandan media.
"I told Kerry not to worry a lot about the internal affairs of Uganda because we know how to handle the issues," the Daily Monitor newspaper quoted the president as saying.
Besigye's detention on Friday contributed to a day of chaos in some parts of Kampala, with opposition supporters hurling rocks at police and erecting street barricades.
Police officers set off stun grenades and fired tear gas at crowds outside the headquarters of Besigye's Forum for Democratic Change, where senior members of the party accused organizers of rigging the vote.
Museveni brought calm and stability to Uganda after decades of chaos under leaders Idi Amin and Milton Obote, but many opposition voters accuse the former guerrilla fighter of becoming increasingly autocratic and wanting to rule for life.
The opposition had tried to tap into mounting anger among young voters, especially in urban areas, where unemployment is high and many are frustrated by the poor state of schools and hospitals.
"We are disappointed, the election has been rigged," said 23-year-old Brenda in Kampala, who declined to give her second name out of concern for her security. "I have never seen another president and it seems it will be like that until he dies."

‘Tweeting from Canada, voting in Uganda’: How Ugandans evaded an election day internet crackdown

More from Tristin Hopper | @TristinHopper

As Uganda’s ruling party arrested opposition leaders and shut down social media in the midst of a disputed presidential election, a Toronto scholar is among those the charge to circumvent media controls using the same technology that Canadians use to watch American Netflix.
“We are like ninjas,” Gerald Bareebe told the National Post in a Twitter direct message from Uganda.
“There is a feeling you get that I cannot even describe. You feel more powerful than the mighty state. You feel like you have broken the chains that have been holding you captive,” Bareebe added by email.
On Thursday, Ugandans went to the polls in a presidential election that will decide the future of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who first took power in a 1986 coup.
But as voting began Thursday morning, Museveni’s government cut off access to social media platforms including Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter.

(AP Photo/Frank Franklin II, File)In this September 28, 2016 file photo, Uganda's President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni speaks during the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly at U.N. headquarters. Uganda's long-time president is attending a televised debate Saturday Feb. 13, 2016 night, in which he faces seven challengers, including his former prime minister.
The president explained that the shutdown was ordered as a “security measure to avert lies … intended to incite violence and illegal declaration of election results.”
Ugandan police were showing a similar suspicion of free media in the lead up to the vote. “I fear the camera more than the bullet … because it distorts the truth,” Kale Kayihura, head of the Uganda Police Force, told domestic media earlier this week.
However, the blockage can be circumvented via the use of a “virtual private network,” a method that can be used to hide a user’s identity and location. Commonly used by Canadians to view international versions of Netflix or Hulu, VPN services are also popular in China to access websites blocked by government firewalls.
Because local media houses are very scared of the regime, we have used Twitter and Facebook to break stories about opposition arrest and published images of voters being beaten by the military on polling station.
Born in Western Uganda, Bareebe is a PhD student at the University of Toronto and a former Jeanne Sauvé Scholar at McGill University.
After voting first thing Thursday morning, Bareebe said he noticed the outage, immediately installed a VPN to bypass it and then joined other Ugandans in using phone calls and text messages to alert others to the workaround.
“Once I tried and it worked for me, I started spreading information to my colleagues,” he said.
According to Google Trends, Ugandan web searches for “VPN” went up dramatically on Election Day. By Friday, one VPN provider, Trust.Zone, reported 300,000 downloads of its software coming from Uganda on the first days of the election.
Other counts had Uganda’s total number of VPN downloads reaching more than 1.5 million, although this number could not be confirmed.
“Because local media houses are very scared of the regime, we have used Twitter and Facebook to break stories about opposition arrest and published images of voters being beaten by the military on polling station,” said Bareebe.
“These guys came to power through a guerrilla war, it is no surprise that they want to rule like bandits.”
Images have emerged appearing to show ballot boxes being stuffed and of heavy military presence in opposition areas. One particularly widely shared image showed a soldier appearing to seize a ballot box before voting had finished.
A hashtag #1986pictures was also started to mock Museveni’s three decade hold on power. Amid images of boxy cathode ray tube televisions and a pre-pubescent Leonardo di Caprio, one 33-year-old Ugandan wrote “I was three years old when these rebels took power.”
“We’ve mocked them online!!” said Bareebe, noting that in some cases, government Twitter accounts have started responding to the avalanche of criticism coming by way of Ugandan VPN users.
After configuring their VPNs to show their location as being in Canada, some Ugandans even openly touted being virtually “in” Canada on election day.
“Tweeting from Canada, voting in Uganda,” wrote Twitter user Samuel Gaamuwa.
The internet crackdown attracted swift condemnation from international sources, particularly the United States mission in Uganda.
On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called Museveni to demand that the internet blockage be removed “immediately” and added that the United States “stands by the Ugandan people as they undertake this most essential democratic endeavor.”
A statement from Amnesty International called the shutdown “nothing but an exercise in censorship.”
Museveni remained poised to win as of press time, although amid the chaos of the voting observers had severe doubts as to the legitimacy of the result.
Most notably, Thursday saw the arrest and brief detention of opposition leader Kizza Besigye as he was leading reporters to a house where he alleged that ballot stuffing was taking place.
