Ref: FALSE TEACHING / CULT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN PROGRESS REPORT, 17-03-08 TO DATE
Very warm greetings to you in the name of the Lord Christ Jesus and thanks for your continued contribution and commitment to the ongoing struggle against cults, the occult and false teachings responsible for many people’s hurts and ruin.
It is 3 years since with partner ministries and churches under the auspices of the National Committee on False Teaching Awareness, we launched the National campaign against false teaching, cults and the occult, and 9 years since the Kibwetere led Kanungu based cult tragedy in which more than 1000 men, women and innocent children lost their lives, and three years since the Rakai based Sserulanda Spiritual Foundation front organization, Kagera Eco Cities was permitted to operate a 200 square Miles Ssesamirembe Free Trade Zone. Much has happened since March 17th 2008.
Amid a surge in human sacrifice (ritual murders), cases of sodomy and sexual exploitations in churches, frauds and other evils in many spiritual entities, I am again privileged to present to you another report on what has transpired over the last 12 months and the state of affairs in our spiritual entities today.
On the whole, the campaign is a success well on course.
Thanks to God for all partners in the media for the diligent contributions. Without the media on our side, I am certain we would not have achieved this much within such a short period of time. Undoubtedly, the campaign has continued to gain momentum and recognition from all sectors of our society, as a noble cause that must continue. Unfolding events continue to validate it.
1.The level of awareness about false teachings, cults and the occult:
This has greatly increased. Though many people still desperately search for miraculous breakthroughs and are attracted to cult leaders through unscrupulous powerful media adverts, many are alert that something can be wrong. Ripping off, defrauding and conning the faithful have become more difficult because many can now think and reason before acting.
These gains need consolidation and support for people can tell the difference between a true church and cult and shrines. More church leaders have come on board and together, we know we will achieve more even if Government is still indifferent. And there is a lot of streamlining taking place in all Christian religious circles. The truth is, it seems many religious leaders don’t believe in God, but fear exposures, otherwise, they wouldn’t be committing evils.
It is our duty and mandate to expose and counter all people and entities wrecking desperate people’s lives, using the Bible as cover-up for their activities. It is obvious pressure mounted through the constructive media has compelled many witchdoctors to change tactics and adopt the Bible as one of their tools for cover-up and subtlety, and to easily target the desperate. We greatly thank Bukedde, New Vision and Monitor newspapers beside Radio Mama and Sapientia for leading the campaign.
Our campaign must continue.
2.Sodomy
As you may be aware, the war against Sodomy will be long and challenging, but must be fought. This evil has already infiltrated and entrenched deep into the core and fibre of morality in this nation, which is the church leadership, and spread to schools, universities, prisons and other communities, that we have homosexuals (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-genders) amongst us busy scheming how to recruit more, especially our children. For those who think the church is the safest place to be in, think twice, for not every church is a truly Christian church; some are now safe heavens for homosexuals.
In September 2008, David Arinaitwe blew up Kansanga Miracle Centre Pr Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi’s sodomy activities via Criminal case SD 29/28/09/08 Kabalagala Police Station, to which I also made a statement against not only Kiwewesi, but Robert Kayanja, Handle Lesley and others in the sodomy racket. What followed after a meeting at the Ethics and Integrity Ministry was the Police and DPP preferring charges of motor vehicle theft against the poor boy, in a manner no different from what Liberty Worship Centre Pr Grace Kitaka used to do against his (Kitaka) sodomy accusers till we finally had him exposed in 2006 and 2007. We thank God that Pr Martin Sempa secured legal services for him.
Challenges in confronting sodomy include:
Homosexuals mobilize and use lots of money to block exposure and have many key people in politics, the Police, security agencies and other professions on their pay roll.
It is very highly respected pastors and people in the professional world who are spreading the habit.
When homosexuals personal doctors treat hurt victims, they don’t write the exact problem. May write madness, dog bite, malaria and other diseases and hurts.
Victims are harassed and threatened with reprimands if they ever speak out. Many are framed and on the run.
Some victims are bribed into silence to cover up their abusers.
On this front, great gains have been made:
The media has continued to give us platform to equip our people against homosexualism.
Every youth event organized now has a component of homosexualism awareness.
A collision is now formed against sodomy and key among its leadership is Pr Michael Kyazze, Senior Pastor, Omega Healing Centre.
The Wakiso District NFBAPC Pastors have written to one of the homosexual pastors, Dr Handel Lesley of Abundant Life Faith Centre, Seguku to account for his family and explain all mysterious stories about him.
Some of the victims of pastors that have come up include Pr Kayanja’s, Pr Lesley’s, Pr Kiwewesi’s and Pr Kitaka’s.
More churches are gradually opening up and the Anti-homo collision has organized awareness sessions at Omega Healing Centre Namasuba, United Christian Centre Kasubi, Deliverance Church Makerere, Kampala Pentecostal Church, and more are on list for such sessions.
Some former homosexuals in the local homosexual community have also quit the practice.
In the collision, we are succeeding in giving treatment, counsel and legal support to the victims, though there is need to stress that given corruption in the Police and judicial circles and the patronage most abusers have, criminal redress may prove untenable, but we will strive to ensure that victims get their stories known and civil redress.
We intend to:
Organize more massive awareness campaigns in churches, schools and local communities, with the media as partners.
Lobby for victim redress
Formulate a national strategic alliance against homosexualism, since all youths irrespective of religious affiliation are vulnerable.
Encourage the formation of a victims’ alliance to enable them fight for their rights and encourage each other.
3. Human sacrifice
It is unfortunate that after being conned by witchdoctors in shrines, people are coerced into human sacrifice. Whereas many don’t indulge, some either personally kill or hire other people to do so.
There is need to ban witchdoctors and destroy their shrines if we are to curb the evil.
Recently, Christian leaders called on the faithful to pray and fast against human sacrifice during this period of Lent. Though that isn’t bad, we feel church leaders must be serious enough. In the Catholic, Anglican, Muslim religions, known witchdoctors and shrine goers are not only members, but hold key leadership positions in their religions. Besides, when fundraising, even witchdoctors are requested to make contributions to their endless demands! Among the Born Again churches, some are actually headed by witchdoctors and witchcraft is in pulpits, who use the Bible for mere cover-ups. We believe the best way forward must be to destroy all shrines operated by members, bar all members from shrines and reject any contributions from them.
Those who refuse to let go must finally be banished from fellowships and churches no matter who they are.
Our efforts in this area include the following:
Public sensitization of the evil via the media which we thank for the opportunities availed.
Exposure of the evil
Equipping our youths against the vice.
And we will continue to fight human sacrifice
4. Pending cases and threats to be sued

5. The Sserulanda Inquiry
Though very glad that this inquiry was launched and commend President Museveni for the move, we are greatly concerned that Government officers like Professor Semakula Kiwanuka and LCV Chairman Semakula can openly campaign for a cult which is under investigation by commission of H.E The President. They make the inquiry to appear as a mockery to all the people who have been hurt in there, yet untold evils are being unearthed and must soon be released. Their actions don’t only show indifference to victims of cults, but indicate great compromise when it comes to integrity and leads us to suspect that probably, they are on the Sserulanda cult pay roll, or part of the secret members of the cult.
Disturbing too is the Katikkiro of Buganda, Eng John Baptist Walusimbi who supports the group out of ignorance of who they are, yet he is supposed to knowledgeably inform our Kabaka and speak on behalf of the Kabaka.
It ought to be very clear that at this time when Uganda is faced with corruption, dumping and smuggling which are hurting our economy, a free trade zone will simply aggravate the situation and kill much of our productive potential, with poor quality, cheap good flooding the market. All models of Free Trade Zones have no corruption, dumping and smuggling and we cant therefore compare with them.
6. The Police corruption and compromisesIt is unfortunate that when people commit offences, some are given VIP treatment while others are greatly harassed. Amid that background, General Kale Kayihura has received a special offer from Pr Robert Kayanja (Rubaga Miracle Centre and archbishop of Miracle Centre churches), to rehabilitate Old Kampala Police Station at a time when we have launched our open campaign against sodomy, and we were processing cases against him.
At this rate, the nation is headed to disaster if people like Kayanja under investigations for wrong doing in spiritual entities and other sectors start using their resources bribe the Police as an institution in such a manner. How can Police uncompromisingly investigate its benefactors? We believe that if Police needs money for anything, let Major General Kayihura present his proposals to Cabinet, not to the public wherein criminals can do service to the Police hoping to rely on it for protection. Kayanja’s renovating of Old Kampala Police station must lead to compromise if investigated. So, let his offer not be accepted.
7. Government proposal to pay monthly allowances to the poor
Whereas this is very welcome, we believe Government must first deal with fraud-stars in pulpits and shrines or else, these poor will consider the same miracles and be persuaded to surrender it for miraculous multiplication, hence, enriching the fraud-stars further, and not benefiting the poor.
8.Concerns:
As I said last year, we are concerned that whereas people continue to be ripped off, defrauded, extorted, abused, enslaved, sodomized, sacrificed or murdered and tormented, the sick compelled off medical treatment including ARVs, tuned to fake miracles that include HIV / AIDS healing, child trafficking, denying people their right to life, health, education, wealth and association, causing lots of pain and broken-heartedness to many Ugandans; Government officials don’t seem keen to come up with the right policies and necessary legislation.
Many pastors, prophets, apostles, and witchdoctors continue to advertise themselves on FM Radio stations, Television and other media, presenting faked up testimonies intended to lure and condition desperate people to surrender their valuables. Many have been conned of their cars and houses and other valuables in their desperate hunt for solutions to their real life problems and challenges, and of course, aspirations. Letting them continue is irresponsibility and breach of the duty of care.
9.The Way forward
We need more vigilance. We will not give up in the face of challenges, be intimidated by gun wielding agents, or compromise for the sake of popularity. This campaign must continue in its entirety for the sake of the freedom of all our people irrespective of age, social, economic, intellectual, spiritual and other background.
It needs support from every right thinking Ugandan, no matter the age, denomination, intellectual, social, political or racial background. Given the many pressures people have in life, virtually every Ugandan is vulnerable.
Let Government immediately establish set up an open inquiry into religious entities away from Police and Judicial corruptions, a fully funded National Counselling System to address people’s needs and a body to address human rights abuses in all spiritual entities..
Finally, I re-iterate our stand in ARCH and all partners in the National Committee on False Teaching Awareness and the coalition against sodomy, that we will not just look on as people get enticed into spiritual entities only to be wrecked therein by spiritual leaders who have no sense of value for other people’s lives and dignity, and are rotten in character, using religion as cover-up.
Christ Jesus who called us into ministry proves to be foremost in valuing mankind, ethics and integrity, and the greatest human rights activist that has ever lived and ever must remain, the very reason he gave his life for us on the cross at Calvary. If he stood for human dignity, we must no matter what it costs.
Our deepest sympathies to all victims of false teachings, cults and the occult.

Born-again churches reject federation

A section of born-again churches have denounced the newly formed Born-again Faith Federation, which was initiated by Pastor Joseph Sserwadda, the head of Victory Christian Centre, Kampala.
The executive director of Arising for Christ, Moses Solomon Male and a number of pastors, said on Tuesday that the federation was a ploy by Sserwadda to use Christians to justify the existence of his many NGOs.
The pastors were addressing a press conference at the Nomo Gallery in Kampala.
Michael Kyazze of Omega Healing Centre and Noah Sserunjogi said the churches had not met in any forum to decide on the federation and its leadership.
“Sserwadda must not mislead Christians because there is no consensus on the matter, ” Kyazze stated.
They presented a three-page document titled “False Teaching/Cult Awareness Campaign Progressive Report Covering Incidents since March 17, 2008”.
The group charged that senior pastors in some Pentecostal churches were engaged in sodomy and witchcraft.
“How can you put us together with gays, car thieves, witchdoctors, and husband and wife snatchers?” they asked.
Sserwadda said the umbrella body was formed on the advice of the Government, following a request by the churches to be recognised as a distinct faith.
He said President Yoweri Museveni responded to the appeal in February 2006.
Sserwadda said the federation received its certificate from the registrar on February 19.
Ethics and integrity minister Dr. Nsaba Buturo, however, denied the claim, saying talks were going on, but a conclusion had not been reached.

Born–again Christians have formed an umbrella body.
Dr. Joseph Sserwadda of the Victory Christian Centre in Ndeeba, Kampala said on Saturday that the Born-Again Faith Federation of Uganda received its certificate from the Registrar on February 19.
He said the federation would be chaired by a “Presiding Apostle”, an equivalent of an archbishop in the Anglican Church.
Speaking from the federation’s offices on Millennium Chambers in Najjanankumbi, Kampala, Sserwadda said he was elected on February 23 as the presiding apostle for two years.
He is deputised by Bishop Julius Peter Oyet of the Life Line Ministry.
Other office bearers will be elected, he said.
Sserwadda said the body was formed on the advice of the Government, following a request by the Born-gain to be recognised as a distinct faith in Uganda.
“On February 14, 2006 the President responded to our call for recognition. From that day, we have been holding meetings with the ministries of justice, internal affairs, and ethics and integrity,” he said. The federation, he said, would oversee church activities.
“It will be responsible for registering churches,” Serwadda added.
However, ethics and integrity minister Nsaba Buturo denied Sserwadda’s assertion that the Born-again had been recognised.
“We have not done that at all. It is true that we have had meetings over the issues, but we have not reached that conclusion,” Buturo said.

The National Committee on False Teaching Awareness comprising pastors from Pentecostal churches yesterday told the media at the Nomo Gallery in Kampala that although the war against sodomy would be long and challenging, it must be fought.
Moses Solomon Male, the group’s spokesperson, in a statement said: “This evil has infiltrated and is deeply entrenched into the core and fibre of morality of the nation, which is the Church leadership.”

YAOUNDE, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Pope Benedict XVI is in Cameroon for a three-day visit as part of his week-long African trip, which will also take him to Angola.
The pope arrived in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, on Tuesday at the invitation of President Paul Biya, according to a communique released by the government.
Religious authorities indicated that the pope would meet with representatives of 52 African states in preparation for an African synod planned for October at the Vatican.
Benedict was also scheduled to meet with President Biya, members of local Muslim community and Christian church leaders.
This is the third visit by a Catholic pope to Cameroon, which has 5 million practicing Catholics out of its 17 million population. The late Pope Jean Paul II visited the country in 1985 and 1995.

My Analysis
The Catholic Church is trying everything possible to take Africa back to Satan. Rome has realized that many Africans have got saved. Rome has realized that many Africans are slowly discerning that Catholicism is a wider way that leads to destruction and a system of Satan. The pope’s trip to Africa is intended to strengthen ecumenism (unity of all faiths). Rome has not changed; it killed the saints of the Lord in the Past and will continue to kill the saints of the lord until it is finally annihilated by the Lord Jesus Christ. Roman Catholicism is satan’s magnum opus . We need to preach to the Catholics to live this system. We need to pray for the saints of the Lord Jesus Christ who are still trapped in this system. Do not be fooled by the catholic charismatic movement . Roman Catholicism has nothing to do with GOD. Flee Roman Catholicism now.

YAOUNDE, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Pope Benedict XVI is in Cameroon for a three-day visit as part of his week-long African trip, which will also take him to Angola.
The pope arrived in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, on Tuesday at the invitation of President Paul Biya, according to a communique released by the government.
Religious authorities indicated that the pope would meet with representatives of 52 African states in preparation for an African synod planned for October at the Vatican.
Benedict was also scheduled to meet with President Biya, members of local Muslim community and Christian church leaders.
This is the third visit by a Catholic pope to Cameroon, which has 5 million practicing Catholics out of its 17 million population. The late Pope Jean Paul II visited the country in 1985 and 1995.

The Catholic Church is trying everything possible to take Africa back to Satan. Rome has realized that many Africans have got saved. Rome has realized that many Africans are slowly discerning that Catholicism is a wider way that leads to destruction and a system of Satan. The pope’s trip to Africa is intended to strengthen ecumenism (unity of all faiths). Rome has not changed; it killed the saints of the Lord in the Past and will continue to kill the saints of the lord until it is finally annihilated by the Lord Jesus Christ. Roman Catholicism is satan’s magnum opus . We need to preach to the Catholics to live this system. We need to pray for the saints of the Lord Jesus Christ who are still trapped in this system. YAOUNDE (Reuters) – Cameroonian security forces have smashed up the street stalls, where thousands of people earn a living, to give the capital Yaounde a face-lift for a visit by Pope Benedict next week.
Pope Benedict makes his first trip to Africa as pontiff next week, visiting Cameroon before continuing to Angola to mark 500 years of Christian evangelism there.
"My 10 years of investments have been ruined. I don't know now what to do to survive," wailed Mariane Ngoupendji Monday when she found her typing and printing shop reduced to rubble.
"Will the Pope's visit replace what I've lost?" she said.
Ngoupendji, 43, collapsed weeping to the ground as youths pulled pieces of corrugated iron, girders and planks from the ruins, hoping to sell them or use them to build elsewhere.
Many people make their living through informal stalls or boutiques, selling everything from imported electrical goods to local produce in a country where millions of people live in poverty even though it boasts one of Africa's biggest economies.
But authorities say the stalls, ranging from simple wooden shelves to secure lock-ups built with steel and concrete, are an eye-sore and began to tear them down last week. No compensation will be offered, the government said.
"On Monday the authorities of the Yaounde urban municipality continued pulling down illegally erected structures down in the town centre with the support of security forces," state radio reported Monday.
"They vowed that the process will continue as part of efforts to embellish the city and give it a new face-lift."
Yaounde council officials could not be reached for comment.
Security forces have deployed in large numbers to prevent trouble. Previous attempts to clear traders from African cities have triggered widespread violence, including in Senegal before last year's Organisation of the Islamic Conference summit.
Police beat youths and stallholders at the weekend on Yaounde's Avenue Kennedy, where many hawkers sell cell phones and other electrical items imported from Dubai, witnesses said.
"I saw gendarmes and police chasing after fellow Cameroonians, beating them up with such ferocity and smashing their goods," said a Cameroon Telecommunications company worker, who watched from a third storey window as police cleared stalls near Avenue Kennedy Saturday.
"Why not simply ask them to assemble their goods and move away instead of destroying everything. Must the Pope's visit bring so much trouble for the people?" said the worker, who declined to be identified for fear of reprisals.
But a senior police officer said stallholders had refused to comply with several previous requests to move on.
"Now, with the Pope coming, the authorities are left with no other choice than to use force to get them out," he told Reuters.
"African traditional hospitality demands that you keep your house clean when expecting a guest."

Dr James White and his King James onlyism fallacy

I applaud Dr.James White for the work he is doing for the Lord. I must say he has written wonderful articles about Catholicism, Mormonism etc. However, I find his attack of the KJV and his notion of ‘’KJV onlyism Movement’’ very ridiculous and intellectually hypocritical . Do not be surprised when KJV critics like Dr.James White embrace ecumenism. Despite their critiques of Catholicism, when it comes to the bible issue, they are working for Rome. Time will tell and remember there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.

KJV advocates are in favour of any translation in any language say; Luganda , German, Swahili, Norwegian, Polish etc as long as it is based on the Textus receptus(received text) and the Masoretic text. No sound KJV Advocate can argue that the KJV is superior to its source i.e. the manuscripts from which it is based. Dr.James white urgues that although THE BLOOD is deleted in col.14, in the NIV, it is aslo in Eph.1:7. Doesn't scripture say that EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE(Pro.30:5). If every word of God is pure, it is logical to ask, why the pure word of God(BLOOD)is missing in Col.1:14.How can you know what what John or Paul wrotewithout testing the sources. Dear Dr.James white, do you think that John believed that Peter is the rock of the church as NIV alleges in John 1:42. Dear Bro,you have terribly errored in your reasoning.
The KJV only fallacy exposed
Dr James White and other critics make arguments to the effect that KJV onlyists believe that the KJV is the only divinely inspired bible and that it is the only accurate bible. This is very ridiculous, we KJV advocates stick to the KJV on the argument of preservation. We believe that God has preserved his word as he promised in THE Received text and mosoretic text . I agree with Brother Cloud that ‘’The Masoretic Hebrew Old Testament and Greek Received New Testament translated properly into any language is the preserved Word of God in that language, whether it is German, Spanish, French, Korean, or Nepali.’’ KJV advocates are not arguing that the KJV is superior to the Hebrew and Greek texts upon which it was based. We, KJV advocates argue that the best English translation is the KJV because it is based in the received and Mosoretic text . Paul's statement in Romans 1:18-32 has been taken as the strongest New Testament rejection of homosexuality. He is concerned about the influence of the pagan culture on the Roman Christians. After giving a detailed description of a world that “exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator,” he continues, “Therefore, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lusts for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty of their perversion.”
A complete reading of these passages, in their original context, clearly shows that what Paul was actually referring to was homosexual temple prostitution, which was performed by various cults (though far more cults used heterosexual prostitution). Again, Paul is not referring to same-sex love, and he clearly has no concept of persons for whom this lifestyle is “natural.”
Paul's other reference to homosexual acts in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 is similar to 1 Timothy 1:8-11. These two passages contain lists of persons to be excluded from the Realm of God. The interpretation of these passages depends on two Greek words that have always presented a problem for translators. In the King James Version, they are translated “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind.” In the Revised Standard Version, they were combined and rendered as “homosexuals,” however, these are not the Greek words for homosexual, so these translations reflects the scholars' bias. The New International Version illustrates the difference in these two words by translating them “male prostitute” and “homosexual offenders.” The Jerusalem Bible uses the terms “catamites and “sodomites.” Catamites were youth kept especially for sexual purpose, who were usually paid large sums of money. Neither passage refers to persons of same-sex orientation but to people who used their sexuality for personal gain.
Do not be fooled buy the KJV onlyism , it is simply an error in reasoning. I urge you to start advocating for the translation of the received and masoretic text in your language. I play that we shall have a bible in Swahili and Luganda based on received and the masoretic text soon.

Criticism means accepting what you find acceptable and rejecting what you find unacceptable after a critical assessment. Criticism does not mean that you point out only the negative. KJV advocates are in favour of any translation in any language say; Luganda , German, Swahili, Norwegian, Polish etc as long as it is based on the Textus receptus(received text) and the Masoretic text. The KJV only fallacy exposed
Dr James White and other critics make arguments to the effect that KJV onlyists believe that the KJV is the only divinely inspired bible and that it is the only accurate bible. This is very ridiculous, we KJV advocates stick to the KJV on the argument of preservation. We believe that God has preserved his word as he promised in THE Received text and mosoretic text . I agree with Brother Cloud that ‘’The Masoretic Hebrew Old Testament and Greek Received New Testament translated properly into any language is the preserved Word of God in that language, whether it is German, Spanish, French, Korean, or Nepali.’’ KJV advocates are not arguing that the KJV is superior to the Hebrew and Greek texts upon which it was based. Paul's statement in Romans 1:18-32 has been taken as the strongest New Testament rejection of homosexuality. He is concerned about the influence of the pagan culture on the Roman Christians. After giving a detailed description of a world that “exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator,” he continues, “Therefore, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lusts for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty of their perversion.”
A complete reading of these passages, in their original context, clearly shows that what Paul was actually referring to was homosexual temple prostitution, which was performed by various cults (though far more cults used heterosexual prostitution). Again, Paul is not referring to same-sex love, and he clearly has no concept of persons for whom this lifestyle is “natural.”
Paul's other reference to homosexual acts in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 is similar to 1 Timothy 1:8-11. These two passages contain lists of persons to be excluded from the Realm of God. The interpretation of these passages depends on two Greek words that have always presented a problem for translators. In the King James Version, they are translated “effeminate” and “abusers of themselves with mankind.” In the Revised Standard Version, they were combined and rendered as “homosexuals,” however, these are not the Greek words for homosexual, so these translations reflects the scholars' bias. The New International Version illustrates the difference in these two words by translating them “male prostitute” and “homosexual offenders.” The Jerusalem Bible uses the terms “catamites and “sodomites.” Catamites were youth kept especially for sexual purpose, who were usually paid large sums of money. Neither passage refers to persons of same-sex orientation but to people who used their sexuality for personal gain.
Do not be fooled buy the KJV onlyism , it is simply an error in reasoning. I urge you to start advocating for the translation of the received and masoretic text in your language. I play that we shall have a bible in Swahili and Luganda based on received and the masoretic text soon.

Uganda's Prosperity pastors never cease to amaze me. While appearing on the CHURCH TO CHURCH programme on WBS television on Sunday 1st March, 2009, Pastor Peter Sematimba was asked why he puts on ear rings. He said that there is no verse in the bible that is against putting on earrings. When asked why he advertises beer on his radio station, he said that the bible does not condemn beer, it rather condemns drunkenness. According to him a saved person can take a little beer. He confessed that he does it quietly some time because he does not want people to stumble.
When asked why he plays secular music on his SUPER FM radio station and advertises condoms , he argued that there is nothing wrong with that because the music that is played is love music and LOVE IS A GOOD GODLY THING. He told the presenter that he was ordained a pastor by pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle centre cathedral. This LUBAGA MIRACLE CENTRE HAS BECOME A DEN OF SATAN. In June Pastor Robert Kayanja has invited Benny Hinn to come for a so called holy spirit outpouring. Every participant is supposed to pay 50US$. Doesn’t the bible say freely you have received freely give!!!!

Pastor Sematimba is similar to the rich young man in Matthew 19. This young man boasted about keeping the commandments, but like Pastor Sematimba he loved his money more than Jesus. In the first commandment God commands us to have no other gods but him alone.However, the youngman did not keep this commandment, he loved mammon more than God.Take a look:

Uganda's Prosperity pastors never cease to amaze me. While appearing on the CHURCH TO CHURCH programme on WBS television on Sunday 1st March, 2009, Pastor Peter Sematimba was asked why he puts on ear rings. He said that there is no verse in the bible that is against putting on earrings. When asked why he advertises beer on his radio station, he said that the bible does not condemn beer, it rather condemns drunkenness. According to him a saved person can take a little beer. He confessed that he does it quietly some time because he does not want people to stumble.
When asked why he plays secular music on his SUPER FM radio station and advertises condoms , he argued that there is nothing wrong with that because the music that is played is love music and LOVE IS A GOOD GODLY THING. He told the presenter that he was ordained a pastor by pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle centre cathedral. This LUBAGA MIRACLE CENTRE HAS BECOME A DEN OF SATAN. In June Pastor Robert Kayanja has invited Benny Hinn to come for a so called holy spirit outpouring. Every participant is supposed to pay 50US$. Doesn’t the bible say freely you have received freely give!!!!

Pastor Sematimba is similar to the rich young man in Matthew 19. This young man boasted about keeping the commandments, but like Pastor Sematimba he loved his money more than Jesus. In the first commandment God commands us to have no other gods but him alone.However, the youngman did not keep this commandment, he loved mammon more than God.Take a look:

According to the story leaders of the Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican, Pentecostal and the Seventh Day Adventist churches have planned to pray and fast for 40 days(sounds like Rick Warren Purpose driven 40 days) starting on ash Wednesday(beggining of catholic lent season) over the increasing cases of human sacrifice. Bishop Orombi and his catholic and SDA colleagues recently had a meeting at a mosque???(Allah’s shrine) to solve Muslim wrangles. Have nothing to do with these hypocrites. CHURCHES countrywide will pray and fast for 40 days starting on Wednesday over the increasing cases of human sacrifice.
The prayers will be guided under the theme ‘Weeping for Uganda’s children who are no more.’
The Anglican Archbishop, Henry Luke Orombi, yesterday made the announcement at the provincial offices in Namirembe at a conference with leaders of Pentecostal churches.
Orombi said the leaders of the Orthodox, Catholic and the Seventh Day Adventist churches had already assented for the campaign.
He said the drive was aimed at making Ugandans repent and ask God to forgive and heal the land.
“There is greed, corruption and an inhuman thirst to spill innocent blood because our society is degenerating owing to greed, Godlessness and moral corruption,” he said.
Orombi appealed to head teachers to make convenient reporting time for children and let them go back home before dark.
He also counselled parents: “Parents must understand that they have limited chance to turn their children into responsible people. Once a child grows up, it is no longer your responsibility. Do not leave your children to ‘yayas’ who cannot instill in them the good morals you want.”
Pastor Joseph Sserwadda of Victory Christian Centre appealed to the Government to ignore the traditional healers request to have a law legalising their activities.

Brothers and sisters,
A schoolgirl is beheaded; a toddler’s genitals are cut off; a lady goes for an evening out, never to return! Think of the girl’s classmates. How about the mother of the boy who will grow up with no manhood! And then the man who hoped one day to marry the now missing lady. There is a cry in our land.
Our beloved country Uganda is weeping, grieving for the innocent lives of countless people - including children - who have needlessly lost their lives at the hands of wicked people in pursuit of selfish ambition and money. There is greed, corruption, and an inhuman thirst to spill innocent blood.
This cry is so loud, that we the church – regardless of denomination – are together declaring a nationwide campaign against this evil of witchcraft and human sacrifice. We are unequivocal in our strong condemnation of this depraved practice, which not only defiles the sanctity of human life, but also reveals the extent to which the core of our society is degenerating owing to greed, godlessness, and moral corruption.
Brothers and sisters, this must stop. We the church, have a burden to repent and renounce the greed, corruption, and selfish ambition that plague our nation, and which have precipitated the evil of human sacrifice by those who practice witchcraft and mistakenly regard it as a means to quick wealth.
After all, we have been warned that: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds if evil…” 1 Timothy 6:10
Human sacrifice is evil and demonic. It is clearly a spiritual problem, which needs a spiritual solution. The demons that demand the blood of the innocent of our land must be silenced, cast out, and destroyed – so that our beloved country will be cleansed of this evil and healed thereafter.
But - only a repentant, praying church will have the power to accomplish this urgent and important assignment. Second Chronicles chapter 7 and verse 14 says:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land…”
For this reason, we the church have decided to rise together in a nationwide prayer and fasting campaign, under the theme, “Weeping for Uganda’s Children who are no more” (Jeremiah 31:15), in which we shall lift up one voice in prayers of repentance on behalf of our land, asking God to forgive our nation and heal our land.
The 40-day campaign, which for some churches is the period of Lent, will formally begin on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, and Christians are encouraged to identify families affected by human sacrifice in their communities, so that the church can minister to them. We shall also pray for our leaders, so that God will grant them wisdom as they tackle this challenge.
We, the leaders of all Christian denominations are, therefore, requesting that all pastors sensitise their congregations about the impending prayer and fasting campaign, and to mobilise them to join in. The campaign will also be in newspapers, posters and fliers, on radio and TV, and through telephones via SMS messages. We believe that the vice of human sacrifice can be erased from our land, “For nothing is impossible with God…” Luke 1:37.

CHURCHES countrywide will pray and fast for 40 days starting on Wednesday over the increasing cases of human sacrifice.
The prayers will be guided under the theme ‘Weeping for Uganda’s children who are no more.’
The Anglican Archbishop, Henry Luke Orombi, yesterday made the announcement at the provincial offices in Namirembe at a conference with leaders of Pentecostal churches.
Orombi said the leaders of the Orthodox, Catholic and the Seventh Day Adventist churches had already assented for the campaign.
He said the drive was aimed at making Ugandans repent and ask God to forgive and heal the land.
“There is greed, corruption and an inhuman thirst to spill innocent blood because our society is degenerating owing to greed, Godlessness and moral corruption,” he said.
Orombi appealed to head teachers to make convenient reporting time for children and let them go back home before dark.
He also counselled parents: “Parents must understand that they have limited chance to turn their children into responsible people. Once a child grows up, it is no longer your responsibility. Do not leave your children to ‘yayas’ who cannot instill in them the good morals you want.”
Pastor Joseph Sserwadda of Victory Christian Centre appealed to the Government to ignore the traditional healers request to have a law legalising their activities.

Many Anglicans believe that they can continue to be part of the church of England without being infected by ecumenism, homosexuality and the deceit in the church of England. They are like Catholics who think that they can fight from within and change the catholic church. This is a lie. The only thing you can do is to come out of her. In his book, purpose driven life, Rick Warren makes fundamental contradictions. He argues that God is not interested in your doctrine. He is implicitly saying that the doctrinal differences between born again Christians and Catholics , Mormons, Jehovah witnesses, SDA etc do not matter any more. Many Anglicans believe that they can continue to be part of the church of England without being infected by ecumenism, homosexuality and the deceit in the church of England. Rick Warren’s Ecumenical Heresies
In his book, purpose driven life, Rick Warren makes fundamental contradictions. He argues that God is not interested in your doctrine. He is implicitly saying that the doctrinal differences between born again Christians and Catholics , Mormons, Jehovah witnesses, SDA etc do not matter any more. This is ecumenism deceptively packaged. Remember Satan disguises as an Engle of light, Lucifer wants you to feel and not the THINK. In his purpose driven life Rick Warren appeals to psychology and psychotherapy instead of Scripture. He uses a method known as ‘proof texting’ to support his purpose driven heresy. In proof texting one uses different bible versions to support a position. I.e. If it does not come out clearly in the KJV use the counterfeit Message bible. Perhaps the juiciest axis of stories in the media in the last two years has been that about Born Again Pastors involved in sex, money and even booze scandals.
For some reason, any scandal occasioning a Pastor is regarded as big news in Uganda even if he is just a small time upstart who can’t afford a soda at the Serena or Sheraton hotels; or an ordinary Johnny-come-lately who pastors a little village outfit you never heard about.
There is a problem here. When the Born Again chaps say something, the politicians, the media and general public stop their ears, arguing that these are “nobodies”. Only the Archbishops, Bishops and Priests of the “Mainstream Churches” are taken seriously. Their Christmas and New Year messages are given prominence in all media.
But when the “nobodies” from the “Mushrooming Churches” fall into scandal, suddenly it makes the front page everywhere!
What nobody mentions is two things. One, that there is a general reluctance to talk about the mistakes made by clergy of the “Mainstream Churches”. And two, these “Mainstream Churches” have far more interesting scandals than the Born Agains could ever manage, even if they worked hard.
We in the media know very well which priests are married with children, yet they celebrate mass in the Catholic Church everyday. We also know those who are not married but are freely and openly dating “chicks” and married women.
We know prominent Bishops in the Anglican Church who have mistresses and are scattering kids all over the place. We also know which Bishops and Priests are homosexuals and could point out young men who are victims. If the tabloids chose, they could write everyday about “Fathers” dating “Sisters” and going beyond just taking them out for coffee.
We could write books about which Convents have pregnant Nuns, and which Nuns aborted kids.
However, the media is conspicuously quiet about all these mistakes and curiously loud about those in the Born Again churches. You’d think it is okay for the Catholics and Anglicans to fool around, but completely unthinkable for the Born Agains to do so.
Another problem is that the Church as a whole is too earthly-minded, with a complete lack of focus on the life after (eternity). Neither is the Church “salty” in the sense of being able to season the country and lead it in the right direction.
The Catholics and Protestants are too busy haggling over Cabinet positions in Government. The platforms in which they interface with each other and other religious bodies are more of an avenue for enjoying donor funds than doing anything meaningful for God’s kingdom.
On the other hand, most Born Again churches are too busy preaching prosperity and extorting money from believers unfairly. And we know a few sad cases of wolves in sheep’s skin, who perform miracles but using Satanic power. Plus conmen who use sheer trickery to manufacture miracles, or pay people to testify that they were healed whereas not.
Point here is, all of us are guilty of whatever we accuse the other of. This is precisely what Romans 3:23 is all about: “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
For the past two weeks I have pointed out a key problem in the Church of Christ: the arrogance with which the “Mainstream” treat the “Mushrooming” ones.
I suggest the Church of Christ could use a heart-to-heart dialogue in which they seek an understanding. Both sides have made fundamental mistakes which we must admit and repent to God (and to each other about) instead of playing holier-than-thou.
The Church of Christ must check herself. We are simply not the spotless bride the Lord would want to come for.

THE First Lady and MP for Ruhaama County, Mrs. Janet Museveni, has urged Ugandans to fight injustices and immorality in society irrespective of their religious backgrounds.
Citing child sacrifice, adultery and defilement, Mrs. Museveni said there was need for Ugandans to unite and pray for a stop to immorality.
“When things are beyond human understanding, we need to come together as people of God and pray for His intervention,” she told a gathering during the inter-religious thanksgiving service in Bushenyi district on Saturday.
The service under the theme “Unity, Awareness, Creation and the Plight of Children and the year 2009,” was organised by the district Woman MP, Mary Karooro Okurut .
Mrs. Museveni called upon the judges to be just in handling corruption cases, especially when dealing with hard core criminals.
The First Lady urged the judiciary to handle cases involving children cautiously to ensure justice.
Mrs. Museveni said it was disappointing to see defilers being arrested, only to be released.
“Allowing such people to return into society after they have paid bribes is unacceptable,” she said.
The Bishop of West Ankole diocese, the Rt. Rev. Yonah Katoneene, urged the Government to strengthen the laws to punish defilers.

Church dialogue: All of us must repent

Perhaps the juiciest axis of stories in the media in the last two years has been that about Born Again Pastors involved in sex, money and even booze scandals.
For some reason, any scandal occasioning a Pastor is regarded as big news in Uganda even if he is just a small time upstart who can’t afford a soda at the Serena or Sheraton hotels; or an ordinary Johnny-come-lately who pastors a little village outfit you never heard about.
There is a problem here. When the Born Again chaps say something, the politicians, the media and general public stop their ears, arguing that these are “nobodies”. Only the Archbishops, Bishops and Priests of the “Mainstream Churches” are taken seriously. Their Christmas and New Year messages are given prominence in all media.
But when the “nobodies” from the “Mushrooming Churches” fall into scandal, suddenly it makes the front page everywhere!
What nobody mentions is two things. One, that there is a general reluctance to talk about the mistakes made by clergy of the “Mainstream Churches”. And two, these “Mainstream Churches” have far more interesting scandals than the Born Agains could ever manage, even if they worked hard.
We in the media know very well which priests are married with children, yet they celebrate mass in the Catholic Church everyday. We also know those who are not married but are freely and openly dating “chicks” and married women.
We know prominent Bishops in the Anglican Church who have mistresses and are scattering kids all over the place. We also know which Bishops and Priests are homosexuals and could point out young men who are victims. If the tabloids chose, they could write everyday about “Fathers” dating “Sisters” and going beyond just taking them out for coffee.
We could write books about which Convents have pregnant Nuns, and which Nuns aborted kids.
However, the media is conspicuously quiet about all these mistakes and curiously loud about those in the Born Again churches. You’d think it is okay for the Catholics and Anglicans to fool around, but completely unthinkable for the Born Agains to do so.
Another problem is that the Church as a whole is too earthly-minded, with a complete lack of focus on the life after (eternity). Neither is the Church “salty” in the sense of being able to season the country and lead it in the right direction.
The Catholics and Protestants are too busy haggling over Cabinet positions in Government. The platforms in which they interface with each other and other religious bodies are more of an avenue for enjoying donor funds than doing anything meaningful for God’s kingdom.
On the other hand, most Born Again churches are too busy preaching prosperity and extorting money from believers unfairly. And we know a few sad cases of wolves in sheep’s skin, who perform miracles but using Satanic power. Plus conmen who use sheer trickery to manufacture miracles, or pay people to testify that they were healed whereas not.
Point here is, all of us are guilty of whatever we accuse the other of. This is precisely what Romans 3:23 is all about: “for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
For the past two weeks I have pointed out a key problem in the Church of Christ: the arrogance with which the “Mainstream” treat the “Mushrooming” ones.
I suggest the Church of Christ could use a heart-to-heart dialogue in which they seek an understanding. Both sides have made fundamental mistakes which we must admit and repent to God (and to each other about) instead of playing holier-than-thou.
The Church of Christ must check herself. We are simply not the spotless bride the Lord would want to come for.

THE First Lady and MP for Ruhaama County, Mrs. Janet Museveni, has urged Ugandans to fight injustices and immorality in society irrespective of their religious backgrounds.
Citing child sacrifice, adultery and defilement, Mrs. Museveni said there was need for Ugandans to unite and pray for a stop to immorality.
“When things are beyond human understanding, we need to come together as people of God and pray for His intervention,” she told a gathering during the inter-religious thanksgiving service in Bushenyi district on Saturday.
The service under the theme “Unity, Awareness, Creation and the Plight of Children and the year 2009,” was organised by the district Woman MP, Mary Karooro Okurut .
Mrs. Museveni called upon the judges to be just in handling corruption cases, especially when dealing with hard core criminals.
The First Lady urged the judiciary to handle cases involving children cautiously to ensure justice.
Mrs. Museveni said it was disappointing to see defilers being arrested, only to be released.
“Allowing such people to return into society after they have paid bribes is unacceptable,” she said.
The Bishop of West Ankole diocese, the Rt. Rev. Yonah Katoneene, urged the Government to strengthen the laws to punish defilers.

Police yesterday instituted an investigation to ascertain the proper destination of close to 1,000 children gathered by city Pastor Elijah Ssemugabi who claimed to offer them free education.
Ms Judith Nabakooba, the police publicist said the police rounded off Pastor Ssemugabi’s church premises in Nsambya West Zone to halt an alleged child trafficking crime. It is however not clear where the children were being trafficked to.
The incident comes just under two years after the same pastor was arrested for allegations of conning parents of millions of shillings in a fake scholarship scheme. In March 2007, Bishop Ssemugabi was accused of soliciting Shs120,000 from parents, on claims that he would get sponsorship for their children. There were also reports of child abuse. “We received reports from the local leadership of the area at Kabalagala Police that children were being loaded on lorry trucks from Nsambya Christian Fellowship Cathedral owned by Bishop Ssemugabi and that they were being taken to an unknown destination,” Ms Nabakooba told Daily Monitor in a telephone interview.

The semi-permanent church facility located in a crowded market place accommodated hundreds of parents and their children who by evening were still stranded at the premises while others continued to stream in. Pastor Ssemugabi is said to own several schools within the central region including Munyonyo Bishop Elijah High School, Kabalagala Bishop Elijah High School, Kyengera Alpha and Omega, Bishop Elijah High School Bombo, Nansana Day and Boarding Bishop Elijah High School, and Mukono Bishop Elijah High School.
Ms Nabakooba said the police found a crowd of people comprising parents and their children preparing to be loaded on trucks and asked the pastor to find better transport means. She said the students of both primary and secondary schools were new entrants in the alleged schools. She said the police attached personnel to the various vehicles to find out the right destination of the children and to find out if the schools indeed exist. Pastor Ssemugabi’s church in Nsambya West Zone is located in a slum where sanitation is very poor.
According to Ms Nabakooba, “there was only one toilet for both male and female and all the people were sleeping under one roof.” “We have also involved the Ministry of Education and Sports to ascertain the validity of the schools. These people had stayed in the area for four days and there were threats of crime like theft, defilement and drug abuse. In consultation with the regional police commander and local leaders we agreed the children be transported but we shall follow the matter,” she added.
Meanwhile, residents who spoke to Daily Monitor on condition of anonymity described Bishop Ssemugabi as a conman who has been mistreating the children. At the church compound, one man who identified himself as Hassan Sserwadda claimed that the pastor owes him Shs9.5 million in rent arrears. “He (Pastor) claims that he has schools yet he is deceiving. He only goes around asking to partner with different schools to enable him acquire support from abroad. He also uses it as a trick to get money from people,” a resident of Nsambya said. “There is no way this man can look after these many children in this small place, so he is probably up to some mischief,’’ added another who said the pastor is a “difficult” person.
Most of those who spoke to Daily Monitor declined to be named fearing the pastor could ‘cast a bad spell on them.’
The defiant pastor, however, dismissed the reports as baseless. “Those are detractors who are sabotaging development because I have 19 schools where to take those children,” he told journalists.
The parents who spoke to Daily Monitor intimated that they had paid Shs90,000 for the bed, uniform and registration.
“Bishop told us that after paying that (Shs90,000) no more payments shall be made to the schools,” a parent who declined to be named said. Others said the pastor had helped their children to access education at no cost.
Mr Godfrey Ntale, an LC1 official, said there was rising concern for insecurity. He said the ‘invaders’ claimed they had heard over the radio that the pastor was calling for registration of students to attend free education. “Since 2006, the matters concerning the Bishop and his people are handled by the police and court because he is a difficult man. We are surprised that people are continuing to trust him,” Mr Ntale said. According to sources most of the people camping at the church come from Kabale, Wakiso, Luweero and Mubende districts among other places.

THE leader of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) in Uganda has appealed to the different Muslims factions to stop attacking each other.
“I appeal to you to shun this behaviour because in trying to destroy one person, you end up destroying the whole institution and religion,” said John Luga Wani.
“Rather than making news for the public, take charge and be responsible,” he advised. He appealed to Muslims to sort out their problems quietly rather than expose them to the public.
Wani said this while at the inauguration ceremony of new board members of the Inter Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) at the Gadaffi Mosque in Old Kampala yesterday.
Mufti Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje who is also the chairperson of council of presidents for ICRU, called upon the new members to exercise accountability and responsibility in their work.
“You are charged with the duty of promoting love, tolerance, peace and enhancing sustainable development,” said Mubajje.
The 10-member and five ex-officio board was inaugurated at a ceremony which attracted all the leaders of the major faiths in Uganda.
The board will serve for a three- year term.
At the same function, IRCU bid farewell to the outgoing secretary general, Jowad Kezaala.
Kezaala is credited for turning IRCU into a stable organisation that delivered essential services in peace building and reconciliation and HIV/AIDS related services across the country.
Commenting on the death penalty, Mubajje praised the Government for upholding the death penalty, saying it made people afraid of committing heinous crimes.
He explained that according to Islam, a criminal should be paid using the same currency as he has done to the other.
“By killing a person, the killer should know that he is also killing himself,” said Mubajje.
He explained that if it is scrapped, especially in African countries, murders would increase.
However, Wani said the death penalty should be abolished because it makes people more vengeful.
“When people know that they have been pardoned, they tend to refrain from doing bad, but if they know they will die, murders will instead increase,” he said.

City pastors arrested over fraud

TWO pastors of a pentecostal church in the city were yesterday arrested in an early morning raid. The pastors are being held over their dealings with officials of Dutch International, a micro- finance institution at the centre of a financial scam, spiraling into billions of shillings.
Pastors David Mwesigwa and Lawrence Keya Larry of the Garden of Peace Christian Centre in Ggaba were picked up by plain clothes detectives from their residences in Munyonyo Mulungu zone and Bunga zone.
The Police said Mwesigwa was hiding in his ceiling.
The pastors were taken to the Criminal Investigations Directorate at the Police headquarters in Kibuli for interrogation.
A third pastor, the Police are looking for, escaped.
During interrogation Keya, the senior pastor recounted how on several occasions they used to pray for the officials he described as their flock.
“There are a number of issues we want them to answer,” CID spokesperson Fred Enanga said yesterday.
The Police also seized a vehicle with registration number UAK 453B that was allegedly donated to the Church by Nixon Balikowa, the secretary general of the institution.
Balikowa and his secretary Joshua Kasaga, have since been charged at Buganda Road Court and remanded to Luzira Prison.
The Police are also investigating the duo over claims that they were conduits through whose accounts huge amounts of money were wired on behalf of the firm’s officials. Hundreds of people countrywide were conned.
