My analysis
In her book ‘’Eighteen years with Lucifer ‘’, Sister Erica Mukisa Kimani narrates how they went to a sorcerer in Ntinda with Mozey Radio to sell their souls to the devil. The Process involved swallowing a magic egg which took over five hours. Erica reiterates that after coming out of the room, Mozey Radio was very disappointed because he was given a few years to live. Mozey told Erica that they should enjoy their short rich life because it is better to die young than die poor. When Mosey clocked 33 years, the devil killed him under very foolish circumstances. Indeed Life is very spiritual. That why I made a decision to give my life to the Lord Jesus Christ because he is the ONLY way to heaven (John 14:6). You can also decide to give your life to Jesus today. The scripture says beware of covetousness, a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of things which he possesses (Luke 12:15). What will it benefit you, if the devil gives you the whole world and you end up losing your soul (Mark 8:36). Give your life to Jesus today. Amen.

DPP asks court to dismiss appeal by Mowzey Radio's killer
https://observer.ug/news/headlines/78886-dpp-asks-court-to-dismiss-appeal-by-mowzey-radio-s-killer
Written by URN
The office
of the director of public prosecutions has asked the Court of Appeal to
dismiss an appeal in which Godfrey Wamala alias Troy is challenging a
14-year jail term handed to him for his role in the death of popular
local musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.
Wamala was convicted in October 2019 by
then lady justice Jane Frances Abodo on the basis of evidence to sustain
charges of manslaughter brought against him. Abodo is currently the
director of public prosecutions (DPP). Evidence indicates that on
January 22, 2018, Radio visited De Bar, a hangout owned by George Egesa
in Entebbe at the invitation of a female friend, Pamela Musiimire.
In
the company of renowned producer Washington and a colleague identified
as Muhammed Ategek, Radio joined Musiimire, her sister Rina Namugumya
and friends; Hassan Muwonge, Agnes Nakanwagi, Xavier Rukera, and Wamala.
The group sat at the same table but along the way, Radio
cracked a bad joke, branding Egesa a 'poor man' who could not afford to
buy drinks. To drive his point home, Radio bought a bottle of Black
Label whisky which he went on to serve across the table. The rest of it,
in a playful manner, was splashed on the table and on those around.
This
act angered Egesa who asked Hassan to throw Radio out of De Bar. It's
at this point that Wamala grabbed Radio horizontally and hit his head on
the tiled floor. Musiime and the others rushed Mowzey to Emmanuel
Medical Center before transferring him to Nsambya hospital and later to
Case Hospital where he eventually succumbed to severe grievous injuries
caused by blunt trauma.
Thereafter, Wamala went into hiding and
kept eluding police calls throughout the time when Mowzey was
hospitalized. He, later surrendered himself to the police through his
sister Jackie Kayaga Muwanga who notified the police about his hideout
in Kyengera.
Prosecution adds that Wamala summarily admitted to
having come in contact with Radio and having witnessed the incident of
assault that led to his eventual death. However, he denied participation
in the offence. After going through a full trial, Abodo ruled that the
prosecution failed to prove to the court beyond reasonable doubt that
Wamala killed Radio but concurred with the prosecution that Wamala
participated in the brawl that ended the artiste’s life, for which he
was granted a 14-year jail term.
Wamala filed a notice of appeal
on November 8, 2019, through his lawyers of Rwakafuuzi and Company
Advocates. The case on Wednesday came up for hearing four years later
before a panel of three justices; deputy chief justice Richard Buteera,
Irene Mulyagonja, and Monica Mugenyi.
State attorney Joseph
Kyomuhendo asked court to dismiss the appeal on the grounds that Wamala
and his team have not shown a willingness to pursue the matter. He said
that since the day they filed his notice, his lawyers have not filed any
documents to support grounds for the appeal.
Kyomuhendo added
that Wamala was furnished with all the court records to enable him to
pursue and frame grounds of the appeal if he wished to challenge the
court decision, but he never responded.
In response, Wamala asked
the court to adjourn the matter, saying that he was given an incomplete
record from the High court which didn't show the evidence of the first
prosecution witness to enable his new lawyer Sylvia Namawejje to ably
follow up. Wamala who appeared in court via Zoom link indicated that he
has written several letters to the registrar since 2021 to be given the
missing information but he never got feedback.
According to
Wamala apart from him and Kyomuhendo who was in court at the time of his
conviction, nobody else can understand the missing information which he
says once given to him is most likely to dispose of the entire case.
Court
of Appeal registrar Lillian Bucyana informed the justices that Wamala's
lawyer crosschecked with her and found all the necessary documents to
be in her possession and promised to appear in court on Wednesday but
she doesn't know why thye didn't show up. Court granted Wamala's prayer
for an adjournment until the next convenient session.

What you need to know:
- Mysterious. Not even Ms Sylvia Nakinjitte, a paternal aunt who raised the fallen vocalist for close to a decade, can unravel the mystery of Mowzey’s roots.
Mowzey Radio: How legendary musician has kept in the news two years after death
It’s almost two years ever since Ugandans woke up to the sad news of the death of singer, songwriter Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.
Born on January 25, 1985, Radio died on February 1, 2018 at Case Hospital Kampala, after succumbing a blow on the head at an infamous Entebbe based night hangout, De Bar.
The singer started his music career as a solo singer before partnering with Weasel Manizo in 2007 to form a duo dubbed Radio and Weasel (Goodlife).
He is credited for having recorded over 100 chart topping songs on top of writing a myriad others for other singers.
Because of his melodious voice, mature lyrics, and art, Radio was and is still one of the biggest music icon and an inspiration to many people.
Here are some events that made news after Radio’s death.
Weasel compromised
Weasel, the remaining half of Goodlyfe has been struggling musically after the death of his music partner. After working for over 10 years together, it’s not surprising that Weasel is facing it rough as a solo artiste. But that aside, we can’t forget how Radio’s family put him on the spot for stealing and selling Radio’s music without their consent.
To make matters worse for Weasel, Radio’s family took legal action and reported him to Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
He was forced to desist from singing or releasing any song that was done by Radio.
Chagga and Washington compromised
Radio’s family have made a lot of headlines these past two years. And Just like Weasel, Chagga and Washington were also brought to book for stealing and leaking Radio’s music. Chagga was Goodlyfe’s longtime manager while Washington was their official producer.
While appearing before CID officers, Chagga claimed that by the time Radio died, he was already thrown him out of Goodlyfe team so he had no access to the music. Washington on the other hand said that Radio’s music demos were always put on the singer’s phone, and the person who was in possession of this phone was the one responsible for leaking the singer’s music not him.
Radio’s mother-Lilian Mbabazi clash
Radio’s mother Jane Kasubo once claimed that she is battling with people who steal his son’s music to secure her grand children’s future. She said that her son’s three children were left with no one to help and some ‘heartless’ people are stealing the little which was left for them.
Commenting about the matter, Lilian Mbabazi, who mothers two of Radio’s children came public and said that her children have never gone without food, they study in good international school and everything about them is just great. The public was only left with a lot to comment and conclude for them selves.
King Saha ‘steals’ Radio’s music
King Saha had spent almost two years struggling to get a hit song but coincidentally just after Radio’s death, Saha who was seemingly too close to Weasel released classic love ballads like Biri Biri, Bambi, Mpa Love where he featured Weasel. Before we knew it, sources within team Radio and Weasel spread a rumor that Saha was stealing Radio’s demos.
In his defense Saha claimed that he is also a good song writer just like Radio and even bragged about being the brain behind most of Jose Chameleone’s hit songs. However, Chameleone wasn’t ready to let Saha take his credit as he rushed on social media and said that Saha has never penned down any song for him thus giving him in for a social media beating.
Doreen Mwima child
Just after the death of Radio, a former Miss Uganda Dora Mwima surprised social media by claiming that her first born child was Radio’s son. Mwima claimed that she got pregnant when she was still reigning Miss Uganda in 2008, and that on several occasions, she tried to tell Radio about this child but failed.
Mwima said that she didn’t come out to break the news immediately after Radio’s death because she was scared of public criticisms. However this didn’t stop her from receiving a black lash from Radio’s fans.
Troy Wamala arrested
On October 31, 2019, Radio’s family and friends got a smile on their faces after the Entebbe High Court convicted and charged Troy with manslaughter, and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Troy was the main suspect in the death of Radio, and though Radio’s family wasn’t satisfied with the 13 years sentence, Court said that they couldn’t charge Troy with murder because prosecution failed to convince that he had intentions of commenting the crime.

Ugandan award winning talented musician Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio on Monday morning underwent a 5-hour surgery to remove a clot from his head following brawl in a bar.
According to reports we have gathered, the singer was reportedly beaten by bouncers at Sky Beach, Freedom City along Namasuba Road on Monday night.
“He tried to confront the bar owner who was trying to cool him down. It is at that point that bouncers pounced and thumped him,” a credible source told us.
The source adds that Radio had been enraged by some patrons who had unleashed a series of salvos on the singer.
He was first taken to Nsambya Hospital before being transferred to Case Clinic in ICU.
Management of his Goodlyf Crew issued a statement rubbishing reports that he had been involved in a brawl. The statement says he was involved in an accident.
Below is the statement
Hi Family,
