What does the Bible teach us about Mary, the
mother of Jesus? That is the question of the hour. Was Mary a sinner like the
rest of us? Is Mary the mother of God? Should my focus be on Mary or on Jesus
Christ?
Was Mary A Sinner?
“And Mary
said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my
Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold,
from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty
hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them
that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his
arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath
put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath
filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He
hath holpen (helped) his servant Israel, in remembrance of his
mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. And
Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.” (Luke
1:46-56)
In the passage above we find Mary giving all the
praise and glory to God because he regarded her low (humble )estate. Mary also
rejoiced in God her Savior, and we know that only sinners need a Savior.
“As it is
written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Romans 3:10)
“For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
Mary also recognized the fact that the Lord was
remembering the mercy that He had promised to Israel through Abraham and His seed
(offspring).
The Lord chose this humble Jewish virgin to bring
forth Jesus into the world. He would bring redemption to both Jew and Gentile.
“But when the
fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made
under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive
the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit
of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” (Galatians 4:4-6)
The Lord came into this world at just the right
time. The fact that Jesus would be born of a virgin was prophesied by Isaiah
hundreds of years before the event actually happened!
“Therefore
the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and
bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)
The word Immanuel (or Emmanuel) means God with
us, and that testifies to the deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus would come forth
from the womb of this Jewish virgin because Mary was overshadowed by the Holy
Spirit. There was no human sexual relations between Mary and a man.
“And when
eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was
called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the
womb. And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were
accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem,
to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every
male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a
sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of
turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” (Luke 2:21-24)
In the passage above, we are given further proof
that Mary was a mere mortal like the rest of us. Mary observed the Jewish Law
and she did exactly what that Law told her to do (see Leviticus 12:1-8). Mary
was unclean for seven days and on the eighth day she brought Jesus to be
physically circumcised, in accordance with Leviticus 12:2-3. Mary then
continued in her days of purification (33 days) because that was what was
required of her under the Jewish law (Leviticus 12:4). Mary then brought forth
the required sacrifices as is written in the following scripture:
“And if she
be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young
pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and
the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.” (Leviticus
12:8)
As recorded in Luke’s gospel account (Luke 2:24),
Mary brought forth the offerings required in “the law of the Lord.” It is most
important that you see that one of the offerings was for the burnt offering and
the other one was for a SIN offering. To declare that the Jewish virgin Mary
was conceived without sin is to dispute and contradict scripture. So we may
rightly conclude, that according to scripture, Mary was in fact a sinner. I was
raised as a Roman Catholic so I formerly observed the Feast of the Immaculate
Conception. Roman Catholicism teaches that Mary herself was conceived without
sin. In other words they teach that she, like Jesus, was born sinless. I turned
away from that false teaching.
Is Mary The Mother Of God?
It is obvious from the sections above that Mary
cannot be described as the Mother of God, because that would make her deity or
divine. Simply put God does not have a mother. The last time that we find Mary
mentioned in the Bible is in the book of Acts:
“Then
returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount
called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem
a sabbath day’s journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper
room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and
Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes,
and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer
and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his
brethren.” (Acts 1:12-14)
Mary is listed in the passage above alongside the
other followers of Jesus Christ. Here we find Mary in prayer and supplication
along with everyone else. There is not even a hint that she held a position
above anyone else in that upper room, nor is there a hint that any of them were
praying to her. In the passage below we find a situation where Mary and other
family members were outside a room where Jesus was preaching the word of God.
Because of the large crowd they could not get inside:
“Then came to
him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. And
it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand
without, desiring to see thee. And he answered and said unto them, My mother
and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.” (Luke
8:19-21)
What did Jesus do when he was told about this?
When Jesus was told about this, he told them that his mother and brethren were
those who were inside the room listening to him preach the word of God. Why did
Jesus make such a statement? He did this because he was showing the people the
difference between the natural family and the spiritual family. Yes, Mary was
outside. Yes, she was the natural mother of Jesus, but Jesus was showing the
people that the spiritual family is what really counts. Jesus showed no
partiality even when it came right down to his natural family on this earth.
Jesus did not exalt his own mother above anyone else and we should follow that
example also.
Should My Focus Be On Mary Or Jesus Christ?
It is rather interesting that the Roman Catholic
doctrine regarding Mary mimics actual truth regarding Jesus Christ.
The Roman Catholic teaching known as The
Immaculate Conception (Mary being conceived without sin) is a DEMONIC COUNTERFEIT of the sinlessness of Jesus
Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
The Roman Catholic teaching of The
Assumption (Mary was raised into heaven without dying) is a DEMONIC COUNTERFEIT of the actual ascension of Jesus
Christ into heaven. (Luke 24:50-53, Acts 1:8-11)
The Roman Catholic teaching of Mary being
the Queen of Heaven is a DEMONIC COUNTERFEIT of
Jesus Christ being the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! (Deuteronomy 10:17,
Psalm 136:3, 1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 17:14, 19:16)
The Roman Catholic teaching of Mary as a
mediator (mediatrix) is a DEMONIC COUNTERFEIT
of Jesus Christ being the one and only mediator for mankind! (1 Timothy 2:5)
I do not apologize for telling you that those
teachings are not of God at all. They are demonic in origin and they are meant
to divert a persons attention away from the Lord Jesus Christ, who was the only
sinless human being to walk this earth. Jesus was the only person who could
possibly atone for the sin of the world and that is what he did when he shed
his sinless blood upon the cross. Peace has been made through the blood of the
cross and a person can be reconciled back to God because of what Christ has
done on the cross. (Colossians 2:14, 20, Romans 5:6-10) Jesus Christ rose from
the dead and he ascended into heaven where he is reigning NOW as the King of
Kings and Lord of Lords. (Revelation 17:14, 19:16) After he rose from the dead
he told his disciples that ALL power has been given unto him in heaven and
earth, and if that does not speak of power and authority then nothing does.
(Matthew 28:18-20)
I cannot overemphasize the truth that there is
absolutely no hope outside of the person of Jesus Christ. Eternal life is in
the Son and Mary has absolutely nothing to do with the salvation of any soul.
Satan will do anything that he can do to divert your attention away from the
only one who can save your soul, and that is Jesus Christ.
“For the
wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“And this is
the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his
Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath
not life.” (1 John 5:11-12)
“And we know
that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may
know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus
Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20)
Jesus Christ Is Not A Momma’s Boy

Once a year in the month of December, billions of
people throughout the world, gather to celebrate the holiday that is known as
Christmas. One can study the history of this holiday, by reading different
books and encyclopedias or by watching videos. As you study this holiday you
will learn how it was a totally pagan holiday,which eventually became embraced
by the “Christian church” as a way of celebrating the birth of the “Christ
child.” During this holiday season billions upon billions of dollars will
be spent on items and gifts, and many parties will be held throughout the
world. Many greeting cards will be mailed out, some with a religious motif, and
others just saying “Merry Christmas.” Many of the religious cards will
have a Nativity scene on the front of the card, or it will show “Mother
Mary”cuddling the “infant Jesus” in her arms. That image of the grown up
Mary with the little baby Jesus is very popular within the Roman Catholic
circles. I can remember reading about the visions of Mary in Medugorje, Yugoslavia,
while I was still a Roman Catholic. I became very interested in those
apparitions, and I even purchased books and videos, and showed them to others.
Here is an excerpt from the Wikipedia Encyclopedia regarding the apparitions at
Medugorje:
A Marian apparition is an event in which
the Mary, the mother of Jesus is believed to
have supernaturally appeared to one or more persons regardless of their
religious faith. They are often given names based on the town in which they
were reported, or on the sobriquet which was given to Mary on the occasion of
the apparition. They have been interpreted in psychological terms as
pareidolia, and in religious
terms as theophanies. Apparitions sometimes recur at the same site over an
extended period of time. In the majority of Marian apparitions only a few
people can see Mary.
On June 24, 1981, while on the hill of
Podbrdo in Medjugorje, six teenagers—two boys and four girls—saw a vision of Jesus’ Mother, Mary, holding the infant Jesus.
The following day, four of those six children felt drawn to return to the site,
where they again saw the Mother, this time with her arms empty. Word quickly
spread and hundreds, then thousands, began gathering daily at the site. This
prompted the communist authorities to declare the situation dangerous,
and they began harassing the children in an attempt to prevent their return to
the site.[1]
I will not go into the Marian apparitions too
much here other than to say, that there is absolutely no question in my mind,
that all of them are totally DEMONIC
in origin. You see Satan is ever so clever in how he takes the mind of the
people off of the eternal Son of God, and puts it on the Jewish virgin Mary. If
you study the Bible you will always see Jesus giving glory to His father in
Heaven who sent Him to this Earth to die for our sins. Mary is not a part of
the equation when it comes to the salvation of the soul. During the ministry of
Jesus Christ on earth, there was an instance when Jesus was preaching the
Word, inside a building and his very own mother, and His brothers and sisters
were outside. Somebody informed Jesus about this and it is recorded in the
Bible.
While he yet talked to the people, behold,
his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one
said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to
speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he
stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and
my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my
Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:46-50)
You see Jesus Christ was more interested in His
spiritual family, then he was with His “natural and physical” family,
and that is exactly the point that He was making there. You see Jesus
Christ is the eternal Son of God, meaning that He came down from above and He
has always existed. The images of the little baby Jesus in a manger abound
during this time of year. Why do we need to put Jesus back in the manger,
considering the fact that He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last,
and the Almighty! (Revelation 1:8, 11, 17,18) Can you imagine if your friend
invited you to a birthday party, and you saw a little bassinet or crib with
statues of adults surrounding it? You asked your friend what it was all about,
and he tells you that he took some old photos, and tried to recreate the images
of his parents, as well as himself when he was born. Would you not think that
it was odd? So why do we find it necessary to put Jesus back in the crib once a
year? When I got saved, I had absolutely no desire to remember Jesus as a
little baby. Yes, I can read about His birth, but I now know Him as the King of
Kings, and Lord of Lords and I glorify Him that way.
The prophet Micah prophesied of His birth in Bethlehem hundreds of
years before the event actually happened. Here is what the scriptures teach us:
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though
thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come
forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from
of old, from everlasting. (Micah 5:2)
That prophecy was totally fulfilled when Jesus
Christ was born in Bethlehem.
When Herod the king had heard these
things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem
with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the
people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said
unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And
thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of
Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
(Matthew 2:3-6)
The Jewish religious leaders went to the
scriptures (as they should have) and they came up with the correct answer to
that evil King Herod who sought to KILL Jesus. They quoted from the very same
prophecy which was given by the prophet Micah.
But while he thought on these things,
behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph,
thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is
conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and
thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his
people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, (Matthew 1:20-22)
The very purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ
into this world was to save wretches like me and you from our sins. That
includes all people in the world (Jewish and Gentile) with no ifs, ands or buts.
The real Mary understood that concept very well, and she acknowledged
her own status as a sinner by referring to God as Saviour.
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify
the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. (Luke 1:46-47)
The real Mary continued to give ALL the glory to
God, in what has become known as the “Magnificat” passage of scripture. In the
Roman Catholic Church there has always been a great emphasis on “Mother
Mary” and you will find “Mary” being honored with her own medals
such as the Miraculous Medal. The late pope John Paul II even included the
letter “M” in his Papal coat of arms. In fact Pope John Paul II had
the saying “Totus Tuus Sum Maria” sewed inside his Papal vestments.
Those words mean: “Mary I Am Totally Yours”
I have spoken in the past about how the Popes
(past and present) declare the Roman Catholic Church to be the ONLY TRUE
CHURCH, and that is part of their official doctrine. Whenever people speak out
against them and their false doctrines, they are tagged as “Catholic
Bashers” or “Anti-Catholics.” but don’t you fall for that tactic.
The Roman Catholic Church to this very day still has over 100 anathemas
(curses) in their official church doctrines, against people (true Christians)
who disagree with their false doctrines. You will find them in the Council of
Trent and officially upheld by the Council of Vatican II. They still teach that
their Catholic Mass satisfies the justice of God for sins committed against
Him. They still teach about a place called Purgatory. They still teach about
indulgences for both the living and the dead (to help them out of Purgatory),
but very little is said about these things. The bottom line is this. The Roman
Catholic Gospel is a false Gospel, and it is NOT the Gospel which the original
disciples preached. The focus on Mary is of their own origin, and one of their
own man-made traditions. When Jesus was asked by His disciples to teach them
how to pray he taught them to pray “Our Father” not “Our Mother”!
You will NOT find Mary asking any people to pray to her (or through her) at
all. In fact Mary was just one of the crowd of true believers praying to God in
the book of Acts.
And when they were come in, they went up
into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew,
Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and
Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one
accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary
the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:13-14)
This whole Gospel is about Jesus Christ and the
truth that he came to bring salvation to souls. The apostle Paul put it this
way:
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,
called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had
promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of
David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans
1:1-4)
It was Christ whom the prophets of old spoke
about, and it is Christ the Son of the living God whom God the Father has
exalted. I have known the Lord for over 21 years and I can testify to you today
that Jesus is the ONLY mediator that I need. In fact I would be in disobedience
to the Lord, had I continued to intercede to Mary after the Lord opened up my
eyes.
For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)
Why is it that Jesus should be the ONLY mediator
between God and mankind? Because Jesus ALONE is the eternal Son of God, who
became flesh, and shed His SINLESS blood for SINFUL mankind. There is not
another human being that can make that claim. Considering the fact that it is
only the BLOOD which atones for sin (Leviticus 17:11), it was ONLY Jesus who
had the power to save us all. Jesus Christ alone REDEEMED (Galatians 3:13, 1
Peter 1:18-19) us from our sins, without any help from “Mother Mary”
and we need to give Him ALONE all the glory! Many will read this article and
still refuse to turn from their worship of Mary, as I once did, but I encourage
you to search the scriptures for yourself, and totally rely on Christ alone.
As I close I must mention the Roman Catholic
Charismatic movement and the influence that it has had on the modern day
church. I participated in the Catholic Charismatic movement for close to three
years before the Lord opened my spiritual eyes to the great deception within
that movement. First of all I do believe that there was a mixture of biblical
truth, along with the traditions of Rome.
Whenever the Bible is preached, and believed there is always the potential for
people to get saved and come to know Jesus Christ. Many did get SAVED and they
came out of that FALSE religious system. Many do not realize that the Catholic
charismatics still hold all the doctrines of the Catholic church, including the
Mass, Purgatory and prayers to Mary. When you bring this up to “Christian”
Pastors they usually brush you off, and give you a little “spiritual”
pat on the head and they go on with their business. They have no idea how
dangerous false doctrines can be. I remember attending a very large church in
the middle of Manhattan (NYC) and my wife Cathy and I met a lady who had been a
Christian for many years. I cannot remember the conversation exactly, but I do
believe that we shared part of our testimonies of how we got saved. We never
saw that lady until about a year later, in the same lobby of that church and we
struck up another conversation with her. She told us that she had met some
Catholic Charismatic ladies and that they were praying regularly together. A
large red flag went up in my spirit, and I told the “sister” (in
Christ) to be careful because the “Charismatic Catholics” still prayed
the Rosary (mainly Hail Mary prayers) to Mary, and they might influence her.
The woman turned pale and told us that she felt sick. She then told us that
they had already convinced her to pray the Rosary, and that is what she was
doing. I know a DIVINE appointment when I see one, and I knew that my faithful
Lord had come through once again. It still simply AMAZES me how the shepherds
of our modern day, never speak out against Rome, but simply accept them as “brothers and
sisters” in the faith. That is why I continue to speak out against the
system of Roman Catholicism. People you do NOT need to go THROUGH Mary to get
to Jesus, but you DO need to go through Jesus to get to the Father.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
Take heart people and do not be afraid to let go
of your attachment to “Mary.” The scriptures tell us that it is CHRIST
that died (not Mary), and it is Christ that has risen (not Mary), and it is
Christ who is interceding for us (not Mary) right now, and HE is all you will
ever need! It is the name of Jesus Christ , and His name alone that describes
the ONLY person that can SAVE your soul. Your decision must take place before
you die and not after.
Be it known unto you all, and to all
the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye
crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here
before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
which is become the head of the corner. Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
Mary Worship And The Betrayal Of Jesus Christ

As a former Roman Catholic, who was born again in
1989, I believe that it is my biblical duty (Jude 1:3) to warn as many people
as I can about the false doctrines of Roman Catholicism, so that they too may
escape from that system. It is very important for ex-Catholics to do this
because we are living in a day of super compromise. Many of the modern
day, so called “anointed” leaders are either joining hands with Rome, double talking, or
simply ignoring the issue and just hoping that most of the people in their
congregation, will not say anything. Few Christians have the spiritual
discernment to see though their scheming. But, I do praise the Lord, that the
Holy Spirit of truth is still burning in my heart, and telling me to keep talking
the very same way I have since the merciful Lord Jesus saved my soul.
Today I would just like to speak briefly on the
topic of Mary worship, and how it betrays the Lord Jesus Christ. Before I
came to know the real Jesus Christ, I was a worshiper of Mary, and I prayed my
“Hail Mary’s” just like any other Roman Catholic. The words that struck me
the most in the “Hail Mary” prayer were the words at the end “Pray
for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen” I was really
concerned about that, and I wanted to make sure that Mary was paying attention
to me, when I was about to leave this world. I believe some part of me thought
that if I could “bank” as many “Hail Mary’s” as I
could, that it would “pay off” at the end of my life. That all came to
a halt in 1989 when I was born again of the Spirit. See this article entitled “Rosary

“spiritual eyes” opened up! When I came to know Jesus Christ, the
Lord opened my eyes to the great deception that I had become entrenched in. I
speak the truth to you today, when I tell you that the Lord Jesus Christ
absolutely showed me the wickedness of Satan and his kingdom on that day! I am
telling you the truth, that my heart was absolutely shell-shocked that day, as
to how that devil had deceived myself, and millions of others also, for so
long. As I look at the modern day church, you will be hard pressed to find a
true man of God, with the spiritual fortitude to speak out on these things!
That is one of the reasons that I continue to talk, because souls are literally
perishing by the millions, with few Pastors, preachers and leaders caring, and
loving them enough, to speak. Here are some great Bible verses that deal with
the issue of Mary worship:
For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)
Do not miss this simple truth. There is only ONE
mediator between God and mankind, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. I have
been saved for over twenty one years and I do not miss, nor have I any desire
to pray to Mary. Jesus Christ is doing a wonderful job, as my mediator.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ
that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
That is an absolutely awesome verse of scripture.
Who is he that can bring condemnation against a true Christian? It is Christ
who died for me! (and you too) It is Christ who rose again for me! (and you
too) It is Jesus Christ who is sitting at the right hand of God interceding for
me! (and you too) Jesus Christ is part of the eternal triune Godhead, but Mary
was just a created being, just like the rest of us. Mary was also a
sinner just like the rest of us, (Romans 3:23) and she needed a Saviour, just
like the rest of us. (Luke 1:47) Remember that I am speaking as a former Roman
Catholic here. If you are still in that system, take heed to what you are

For Christ is not entered into the holy
places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven
itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: (Hebrews 9:24)
Sinner friend, the Lord Jesus Christ has entered
into HEAVEN! The Lord is in the presence of God for US! That is totally
awesome. Mary (the fake Mary) is nothing more than a Satanic distraction to
take your eyes off of Jesus Christ. I know that, because I have experienced the
other side myself. Let me tell you something ladies and gentlemen. There
is a battle for your soul that is raging in the unseen world, and the Devil
will try to deceive you any way that he can. The Devil’s deception and
craftiness, and deception is not limited to Roman Catholicism, but it includes
all the false religions who do not give the same honor to Jesus, the Son as
they do to God the Father! (John 5:22-24)
I can remember hearing Catholic people telling me,
that we must go to Jesus, through Mary his mother. When I got saved I knew that
I had been deceived my whole life up until the age of thirty six. The Lord came
at just the right time, because I had been shopping for a statue of Mary, (too
much money for me) so that I could build my own private shrine to her. Mary
worship is PURE IDOLATRY and is in absolute defiance to the Second
Commandment which deals with graven images. (Exodus 20:4-6) See this article “Rome

eyes” opened up! My wife Cathy got saved first, and tried to tell me that
we had been deceived, but I would not listen to her for weeks. One day, in
tears she came to me, and she was reading certain scriptures, that the Lord had
shown her, contradicting the “messages of Mary” from Medugorje, Yugoslavia
which we had been involved with. Something in my heart told me to listen to
her. I decided right then and there, that I had a choice to make. Either God’s
Word was true, or the “Messages of Mary” were true, but they both could
not be true, because they contradicted each other! See this article: “Marian

I chose to believe the scriptures (God’s word)
and a short time after that I was born again, and the Lord is still
keeping me to this very day. We researched the other appearances (apparitions)
of “Mary” and discovered they were false also. Reader friend I encourage you to
take heed to what you have just read, because these are serious issues. Most
churches will trivialize things like “Mary Worship” and that too is part of
Satan’s strategy in these last days. I encourage you to seek the Lord for
yourself, and to become a “Berean” searching the scriptures daily for spiritual
counsel. (Acts 17:11) I thank God that the Lord Jesus Christ saved my
soul, and I thank God that the Lord Jesus Christ opened my “spiritual eyes.”
How could I ever remain silent in “such a time as this” while so many millions
remain in the same darkness that I was in. May the Lord open the following
