PROSPERITY QUEEN DETHRONED : BISHOP MARGARET WANJIRU LOSES HER PARLIAMENTARY SEAT
By Arthur Owiti
The Defeat's 5 Revelations
Bishop,Honourable,Dr Margaret Wanjiru of Jesus is Alive Ministry (JIAM ) has lost her Starehe Constituency seat after the HIgh court ruled in favour of Election petitioner Maina Kamanda.Maina through the court petition claimed that he lost the seat unfairly during the 2007 elections giving Wanjiru the seat.
This decision means that a by election is on the way .However apart from a by election ,the decision is a big blow to the Prosperity Queen who is also part of Kenya's Executive branch of government by being an Assistant Minister of Housing.
This episode reveals many issues.
1. THE DIRT OF CHRISTIAN POLITICKING
Many Christians are convinced that politics can be sanctified by Christians when they join into it because they have the blood of Jesus as a cover. However Margaret Wanjiru's debacle has revealed how dirty politics is and that it is impossible for a Christian to stay clean and win in politics and gain Christ at the same time.
I speak ,having close relations with those who are regular attendants of Wanjiru's church.
Before the election, "Bishop" Wanjiru told her congregants to get voter's cards and vote in Starehe Constituency. The illegalityof that move was that most of her congregants were not from Starehe and thus by them voting in Starehe when they were not constituents they were involving themselves in election fraud.
One who attended her church told me that she refused to be involved in such because she was from another part of Nairobi
and she knew the illegality of such an action. However most voted in Starehe when they were not from Starehe.
On the day of election Bishop Wanjiru's supporters were involved in clashes with Maina Kamanda's supporters. The violence was one of the sparks that brought tnesion and bloodshed in Nairobi during the bllody elections of 2007-2008.
After being declared winner Bishop Wanjiru not only got a parliamentary seat but a Ministerial position. However a faceless sister in Christ sent a mesage that was published by one of the Kneyan Christian newspapers that those religious leaders who misused the name of Jesus in politicking will not see the next election in 2012 in that they that won seats will lose them .
Nonetheless Bishop Wanjiru rewarded some of her supporters some of whom were prayer warriors ,with positions such as councillors in Starehe. These poor( economically impoverished ) were rewarded to their joy.It is then that Maina Kamnada petitioned against Ms Wanjiru. The petition has taken 3 years.
Though she is no stranger to controversy, this incident really reveals how politics involves dirty tricks and a lot of violence which is not the domain of any Christian leader or follower.
The blood of Jesus was shed for people and not for US dollars or Politics. The blood of Jesus sanctifies sinners not creatures of man such as politics and money. Ms Wanjiru was warned not to meddle in Politics in the name of Jesus and apply his blood over it.The fruits have been revealed.
2. PUBLIC SCORN AGAINST THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL
The jubilation that has filled parts of Nairobi is enough evidence of the beginning of the end of the Evangelical prosperity Movement.
During the court sessions the people supporting Kamanda boldly called her a witch who uses witchcraft and also branded the same to her prayer warriors that attended the court sessions.
I do not support false accusation but such statements reveal the hatred and disrespect people have for Prosperity preachers.
Many Kenyans are not impressed by the greed that has been exuded by these preachers,Our cry is that they repent of this gospel before it is too late.
3. THE FLAWS OF ELECTIONS
She is the seventh Mp to lose her seat and thus go for a by election .This is telling.
The electoral system of 2007 was a big sham and shame in that malpractices carried the day.this will make many Kenyans be very suspicious of nay election
and accept that they are nothing but shams.
4. A BIG BLOW TO POLITICAL EVANGELICAL CHURCH'S POLITICAL CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION.
Ms Wanjiru is one of the main leaders against the proposed constitution.this week she was busy rallying thousands of Evangelical pastors against the document.
This episode will definitely throw the pastors in a frenzy as some will retreat as others will be radicalized telling their followers that the government is out to kill their political morale hence they should vote against the proposed constitution to show support for Wanjiru.
Instead of Pastors going to softly sit Bishop Wanjiru down and rebuke her brand of Political and Prosperity Gospel ,they are still going to rally with her.
It is a shame that discernment has been thrown out of the window in the name of politics and dominionism.
5.PROPHECY BOOMERANG
During the Prayer cum Political Rally where six innocent Kenyans lost their lives, Bishop Margaret made a decree from the book of Daniel 4 against politicians who abused the church leaders as false prophets She said " those who speak against the servants of God in the past we have forgiven. But from today henceforth whoever speaks against the prophets of God his kingdom will collapse ".
Now some thought this was fulfilled when Raila Odinga was recently hospitalized. However I wonder what she can say now that she is faced with a by election on her hands when here followers have been fasting day in day out not for holiness or for mercy but for her seat and Christian politics.
Bishop Wanjiru needs to know that the Doctrine of Jezebel which is the doctrine of joining with the things of the world such as Politics and Money is evil and this court decision is an opportunity for her to repent and return to the true doctrine of Jesus Christ.
Christians need to know that the Prosperity Gospel and Political Christianity IS NOT SOUND DOCTRINE OR THE TEACHINGS JESUS CHRIST.
Repent of holding such teachings and the Lord will receive you as his own.
In Christ

Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru has lost her parliamentary seat after a Kenya court ruled that she was not validly elected during the 2007 general election.
Giving his verdict, Justice Kihara Kariuki said the poll was marred by massive tampering of election material.
The judge said he did not know when and where the tampering occurred, adding that with the irregularities Bishop Wanjiru was not validly elected.
However, Justice Kihara declined to grant prayers by petitioner Maina Kamanda, who had requested the court to declare him the validly elected Starehe MP.
He said that the court has no powers to declare him the area MP since its only jurisdiction was to determine whether an MP was validly elected or not.
The judge said that was the role of the Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC) and the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Mr Kamanda had prayed to the court to declare him the winner and his name substituted with that of Bishop Wanjiru. If the prayer was allowed, the former MP would have avoided a by-election.
He based his prayers on the strength of Section 27(2) of the National Assembly and Presidential Elections Act. The section allows the Speaker to make changes should the court so declare.
Bishop Wanjiru becomes the seventh MP to lose her seat through an election petition, an indictment of the flaws in the 2007 general election.
Recount
The Bishop, who vied for the seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, was then announced to have defeated Mr Kamanda of the Party of National Unity (PNU) by 895 votes.
Mr Kamanda disputed and filed a petition in February 2008. A vote recount was ordered and Mr Kamanda was found to have 49,306 votes against Bishop Wanjiru's 34,871, a difference of 14,435.
According to him, he lost the seat after Forms 16A were falsified. But Bishop Wanjiru disputed his lead saying the ballot boxes were interfered with at the Nyayo National Stadium where they were kept after the elections.
Three by-elections have already been held with two MPs losing in the subsequent polls. Mr Omingo Magara of South Mugirango lost the seat to Manson Nyamweya as Joel Onyancha lost to Simon Ogari in Bomachoge.
Mr Chirau Ali Mwakwere, who also lost an election petition, successfully recaptured the Matuga seat in a by-election in July.
Several election petitions are still pending in court. They include the petition challenging the election of Dr Boni Khalwale (Ikolomani), Mr Simon Mbugua (Kamukunji), Mr Walter Nyambati (Kitutu Masaba) and Mr Ngata Kariuki of Kirinyaga Central.

American Based Kenyan Prosperity theatrician, Apostle Dr. David Karanja spews Prosperity Venon at Cross Point Church, Kawempe- Kampala
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the midst of darkness is reserved for ever.(2 Peter 2:17)
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the fresh… .(2 Peter 2:18)
14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14)
AMERICA, AMERICA WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS TO AFRICA???
From 24-25 July 2010 Apostle Dr. David Karanja preached at three day conference at Cross point international ministries, Kawempe. The main theme for the conference was Africa must be saved. I went to this conference because I wanted to see, whether an African PhD pastor from America was a bit different from the likes of creflo $$$ , Benny Hinn etc. I was greatly disappointed. I could not believe that this young preacher has been so much brainwashed by the American gospel . The guy preached for three days but rarely did he talk about repentance, purity, holiness and righteousness. He came with young men from Kenya , one of these young men had palmed hair, the other had an ear ring . It was amazing to see how the world had eaten these young men. As Dr.Karanja preached the christians shouted with joy and virtually every body was convinced that this was a great conference.

A SCRIPTURAL REBUTTAL OF THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL
http://watchmanafrica.blogspot.com/2010/07/scriptural-rebuttal-of-prosperity.html
What pastor David Karanja told us?
Dominion thelogy and Pure Blashemy?
He told us that the word church comes from the Greek word ‘’ekklesia’’ which means a group of senators . He told us that we are members of Parliament representing God’s interests on Earth? He told us that heaven is controlled from earth. The theatric Doctor said that out of ignorance we think that we should call on heaven to intervene in our problems yet we have been given authority from heaven that whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. He said that all problems in Africa and in the world should be blamed on born again christians who have not used their authority of loosing and binding. He told us that we are gods(Psams 82 and John 10:34). He said that he hates the verse in Pslams 82 which says ..but you will die like mere men. He implicitly said that we should ignore this verse because we are kings destined to rule and dominate.
He told us that Jesus came to give us ubandant life(read John 10 and compare with I John 5:11). Abadant life according this eloquent doctor means we should sleep in the best hotels in the world, drive the best cars, own the best planes, eat the best food, own the best houses etc.(Note that the abundant life Jesus was talking about in Jon 10 is basically eternal life. Simple logic shows that this life of eating , driving etc can not abadant because it ends at physical death). He told the congregation that all their problems have persisted because they do not believe. He said that Jesus healed us long time ago and therefore if you are sick, blame your self. He gave us the keys we should use to open our blessings ie the key of Authority, the Key of Acess, control etc
Dr. David Karanja told us to copy the Nigerian example. In Nigeria the pastors have learned how to use the different keys of success, no wonder some pastors in Nigeria have two planes. He in fact told us that he will one time buy his own plane. As he preached I almost wept at the ignorance of the congregation. Many were so naïve to know that the young doctor was giving them poison. I could see how the Ugandan Pentecostal church has been totally shallowed by the American anti-christ gospel.
Dr. David Karanja contradicts himself
He told us that heaven is controlled from the earth and then quoted a verse from chronicles which says if my people humble them selves and pray and forsake their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and heal their land. Many foolish Christians in this congregation could not dicern that according to this verse, it is clear that heaven is in control.
Pastor Karanja told us that we are priests and kings(Rev.5:10) and therefore we should start behaving like priests and kings. It is however interesting that he believes in tithing in this new era of Grace. If believers are priests, how can priests pay tithes?
The million dollar question in my head
As Pastor David Karanja preached all this poison , I asked my self a question , What if this guy drops dead at the pulpit , would he go to heaven or hell??? Dear Pastors and preachers, have you ever asked your self, supposing I drop dead after preaching this message, would the message condemn me to hell.
Apostle Dr.David Karanja believes in Tithing

Christians should not tithe, they should give
http://www.yesumulungi.com/index.php/apostasy-watch/359-pastor-namutebis-theology-the-forbidden-in-tree-in-genesis-was-the-tithe-.html
Dr. David Karanja told us that we are destined to walk in devine health and therefore we should never get sick etc. Note:It is written that Elisha had a double portion anointing (2 kings 2:9), but how comes this greatly anointed man of GOD died of sickness (2 kings 13:14). These prosperity parrots are teaching that a christian should never get sick, should not be poor etc . Pastor Frederick K. Price has actually taught that if you are sick, the Holy Spirit can not live in your sick body. These pimps are saying that Africans are poor because of their stupid ignorance. They are hiding the fact most of the poverty in Africa is fundamentally structural. They do not want you to know that their favoutire Babylon USA has and is still supporting policies in Africa that keep people poor.
The strong delusion
Be ware that church in Uganda and else where has been infested with the strong delusion of 2 Thesa. God has allowed these haters of truth to believe a lie. Many Christians have totally forsaken the bible in favour of their flesh and particularly their eyes. Christians at Kawempe fell prey to the lies of Pastor David Karanja because they trusted in his expensive suits(the guy changed a suit in every session) and theatrics instead of the word of God.
Apostle Dr.David Karanja’s incredible theology
He believes in dominion theology, tithing, generation curses, material prosperity and all that TBN junk. He actually told us that if Jesus lived during our time, he would be owining a plane.
My dear brother and sister in Christ, satan has come out with incredible ministers, signs and wonders. If you put your trust in your flesh instead of the word of God, there is no doubt you will be deceived.

About Apostle David Karanja
http://www.christharvesters.org/visionary.htm
Apostle Dr, David Karanja, the leader and the visionary of Christ Harvesters Ministries International was born in Ngecha village in Kenya. He accepted Christ in April 1986 while he was still in High school. Since then, he has been committed and faithful to his walk with Christ. He is married to Sister Teresiah Karanja and together has been blessed with four children Lucy, John, Stephen and Benjamin.
Apostle Dr. David received a call to ministry in 1989 while pursuing a career in accounting. Having heard the voice of God, he knew that his future was not in accounting but in ministry. He immediately obeyed the call and became a Pastor of a congregation of less than a 100 members in Kenya. Even though God was touching and changing lives in Kenya through him, he knew that God had a great future for him. He left Kenya in 2001 to pursue the desire and a dream that God had put in his heart. He joined Beulah Heights University in Atlanta Georgia and graduated in May 2005 with a BA in Leadership and Administration. In April 2007, he earned a master’s degree in Church Leadership at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany Oklahoma. On June 26th 2010, he graduated with a Doctor of ministry degree.
In 2004, he started Christ Harvesters Ministries International with only 7 members including his family. Under the leadership of Apostle David and First Lady Teresiah Karanja, this ministry has grown from 7 to more than 1000 members in a span of 4 years. He has led the church from a mobile home to owning a 12 acre property in Dallas Highway, Marietta, Georgia. Christ Harvesters Ministries International has grown in every area providing ministries and services that impact every area of life.
The desire of Apostle Dr. David is to see many individuals delivered, healed, restored and walking into their God given destiny. In May 2005, He received a mandate from God to take over this territory. Since then Rd. Apostle David and Teresiah Karanja , along with the entire Christ Harvesters Ministries International family has endeavored to fulfill this mandate. The taking over this territory for Jesus has been a spiritual journey that has seen many lives touched and transformed. Some have given their lives to Jesus; others have been delivered and restored to walk into their God ordained destiny. In addition, Apostle Dr. David has been used by God to touch lives in more than 24 nations all over the world through the free DVDs outreach.
Apostle Dr. David believes that greater days of ministry are those ahead. He is determined to pursue what God has put in his heart and to walk many into their God given destiny. He has a divine call to mentor other leaders into their calling through a ministry called “The Fathers Heart.” He has been a catalyst of change for many leaders by inspiring them with his wisdom and knowledge. More to being a dynamic leader and a mentor, he also operates under the anointing of an apostle, a pastor, a prophet as well as a teacher. His Leadership in Christ Harvesters Ministries International is raising a generation that will shake the world with the uncompromised truth of the gospel.
What the Bible says about giving
http://www.christharvesters.org/biblegiving.htm
It is our desire that you be informed about the biblical and theological call for us to be a giving people. Indeed, we feel that the Christian faith, in so many ways, is all about giving. God gave his only begotten son and that son, Jesus Christ, gave his own life for our salvation from sin and eternal death.
THREE TYPES OF GIVING
A) Offering
B) Firstfruits
C) Tithe
WHY DO I HAVE TO TITHE?
In Mathew 4:5-6 the devil tried to trick Jesus to violate a certain principle. He wanted him to throw Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple. Which principle was this? The principle of gravity! Jesus knew by breaking it, the consequences would even mean aborting his destiny through premature death.
Tithing is a principle that has consequences when violated.
When we violate the tithing principle, these are the consequences:
1. We walk under a financial curse, Malachi 3:9, “You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. This means that no matter how much we earn we will still struggle.”
2. The devourer is allowed in our lives. Devourer are those things that are allowed to destroy our families, health, finances. etc. Examples of devourers are court fines, hospital bills, unnecessary car breakdowns, rebellion/ breakups in families, struggle in business, unfruitfulness; spiritually and materially.
What are the benefits of a tither?
- God open for you the windows of heaven and pour out blessings, there will be no enough room to receive. Malachi 3:10, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
- God rebukes the devourer for your sake, Malachi 3:11, “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts;
- God commit himself to deal with anything that:
- Destroy the fruits of your ground, the fruits of your ground may be your family, health, paycheck etc.
- Nor will the vine fail to bear fruits in the field. God has guaranteed to protect your harvest e.g
- Any business you do will bear fruit
- Your Christian life will bear fruits etc
3. And all nations will call you blessed, Malachi 3:12. When we tithe the blessings of God will manifest and the nations will testify. Helpful resources on giving: Genesis 14:20, Leviticus 27:30, 2nd Chronicles 31:5 Nehemiah 10:37, and Hebrews 7:5

- God rebukes the devourer for your sake, Malachi 3:11, “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts;

House Church: Skip the sermon, worship at home

DALLAS – To get to church on a recent Sunday morning, the Yeldell family walked no farther than their own living room to greet fellow worshippers.
The members of this "house church" are part of what experts say is a fundamental shift in the way U.S. Christians think about church. Skip the sermons, costly church buildings and large, faceless crowds, they say. House church is about relationships forged in small faith communities.
In general, house churches consist of 12 to 15 people who share what's going on in their lives, often turning to Scriptures for guidance. They rely on the Holy Spirit or spontaneity to lead the direction of their weekly gatherings.
"I think part of the appeal for some in the house church movement is the desire to return to a simpler expression of church," said Ed Stetzer, a seminary professor and president of Lifeway Research, which is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. "For many, church has become too much (like a) business while they just want to live like the Bible."
House church proponents claim their small groups are sort of a throwback to the early Christian church in that they have no clergy and everyone is expected to contribute to the teaching, singing and praying.
They are more commonly seen in countries where Christianity is not the dominant religion. Organizers say they're just starting to take off in the U.S.
A study by the Barna Group, a firm specializing in data on religion and society, estimates that 6 million to 12 million Americans attend house churches. A survey last year by the Pew Forum found that 9 percent of American Protestants only attended home services.
"The only consistent thing about house church is that each one is different," said Robin Yeldell, who, in 2006, left a traditional church where he was a missions committee chairman.
The gathering at the Yeldell's home is a lively, sometimes chaotic event, with noisy and mostly happy young children flitting about.
After a time of fellowship, everyone gravitates to the kitchen table to observe the Eucharist with prayer, pinched-off pieces of sourdough bread and red wine in plastic cups. There's grape juice for the kids.
The celebration continues with a potluck meal. When they return to the living room, one member picks up a guitar to strum praise-and-worship songs that others softly sing.
Sparked by a previous discussion about whether they should start collecting an offering for the needy, Yeldell shares a Power Point presentation he created about "corporate giving" on his big screen TV.
The majority seems averse to a regular offering, preferring to take up a collection only when a need or charitable cause arises.
As if on cue, Sean Allen, a laid-off welder who is now homeless with health issues, joined their gathering late. The soft-spoken 39-year-old said he had been sick and struggling to pay some bills.
"I'm just here," Allen told fellow worshippers. "Do what you want. Let the Lord lead your heart."
Allen, who recently converted to Christianity from Islam, said a friend at a traditional church introduced him to the house church, which he prefers and occasionally attends because "they're more down to earth."
A few people agreed to write checks directly to the companies Allen owes while some debated whether money is the best way to help the man. A couple with five young children told him they couldn't afford to assist financially but he was always welcome to join them in their home for meals.
"I'd say the vast majority of house churches we know are Christians honestly trying to live 24-7 for Jesus," said Tony Dale of Austin. He and his wife, Felicity, are pioneers in the American house church movement which is also referred to as home church, organic church or simple church.
There aren't any signs out front so house churches are difficult to find. Prospective worshippers usually locate them by searching the Internet or through word of mouth.
Members rotate the services from house to house and take turns facilitating the gatherings. Anything more than about 15 people and the small group loses its ability to interact with each person, churchgoers say.
When they get too large, they divide and multiply.
"We view it as natural to grow, flourish and disband into three or four new ones," Dale said. "Not everything multiplies. Sometimes it shrinks and dies."
Sometimes congregations with diverse religious backgrounds break up over doctrinal issues or personality conflicts, moving on until they find or create a better fit.
In Texas, home to several megachurches, the house church movement is beginning to catch on, judging from the chatter on social networking sites and interest in a national house church conference organized by House2House Ministries held in the Dallas area in recent years.
"Often when you see a trend (like the growing number of megachurches) you see a counter-trend, like the proliferation of micro-churches," Stetzer said.
The Dales are among those actively working to bring mega- and micro-churches together.
Tony Dale cites the Apex Community Church in Dayton, Ohio, and The Austin Stone Community Church in Austin as examples of the complementary approach. They operate a network of dozens of small house churches, which can band together to become big.
Some who embrace the concept "have become kind of disillusioned, maybe bored with what's going on in traditional church and looking for a way to be more passionate in church," said Dale, who co-founded House2House magazine.
Bill Benninghoff of Arlington, a former pastor of charismatic churches in Texas and North Carolina, has been attending house churches exclusively since 2005.
"You get to know people in their good and bad times," said Benninghoff, a software engineer. "You get to pray with one another and have an incredible sense of camaraderie and community."
Benninghoff said he and his wife "felt lost in the big church on Sunday."
Reggie McNeal, a church leadership consultant based in South Carolina, said many people experimenting with house church have been doing so "under the radar," especially in Bible Belt states.
"It's kind of seen as an alternative or radical kind or approach," he said. "An increasing number of people are saying that they don't want to go to (any) church so there better be a way for church to just be where people already are."
Although house churches emphasize shared leadership and lack hierarchy, there doesn't seem to be a backlash from accredited seminaries devoted to training clergy to take leadership roles in traditional churches.
Dr. Nancy Ramsay, executive vice president and dean of Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth said interpreting Scripture for people of faith is an important responsibility but they respect those who see it differently.
"I wouldn't want to say that we feel threatened by that," Ramsay said. "We are concerned."
She stressed that a greater challenge for various denominations is being able to financially support a full-time religious leader during these tough economic times.
House church advocates say that's not an issue for them because they don't have paid professional leaders.
"You don't have to be dependent upon someone you hear at church to translate for you," said author Neil Cole, who directs Church Multiplication Associates in Southern California, which has helped start hundreds of organic churches in the U.S. and abroad.
"God is capable of speaking your language and talking to you where you live and I think that's attractive to people," Cole said.

MADRID (AP) -- Spain's Parliament on Tuesday rejected a proposal to ban women from wearing in public places Islamic veils that reveal only the eyes.
However, the Socialist government has said it favors including a ban on people wearing burqas in government buildings in an upcoming bill on religious issues to be debated after parliament's summer vacation break.
Following a lower chamber debate, 183 lawmakers opposed the ban, 162 voted for it and two abstained.
The nonbinding proposal had been put forward by the leading opposition Popular Party, which portrayed it as a measure in support of women's rights. The ruling Socialist Party opposed the ban.
"It is very difficult to understand how it is that our troops are defending liberty in Afghanistan and the government doesn't have the courage to do so here, in Spain," said opposition spokeswoman Soraya Saenz de Santamaria in Parliament.
The opposition's proposal followed discussions in several other European countries on possibly banning face veils that show only a woman's eyes, or their eyes through a knitted mesh.
Nations like France, Belgium and Switzerland have struggled to balance their national identities with growing Muslim populations with cultural practices that clash with their own.
In Spain, the PP had put forward the proposal "in defense of the dignity and equality of all women" and to prevent Muslim women from being forced into wearing unwanted garments such as veils by their husbands.
Some analysts had interpreted the proposal as an opposition ploy to build their party's strength amid the economic turmoil and dismal growth prospects that have dogged the government of Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
None of the opposition spokesmen consulted had been able to cite a place in Spain where women routinely wear face-covering veils.
However, a handful of Spanish towns and cities have banned the wearing of burqas and niqabs in municipal buildings, including in the country's second-largest city of Barcelona in June.
Of Spain's 47 million inhabitants, about 1 million are Muslims, most of whom have arrived in recent decades mainly looking for employment from northwest Africa, where the burqa is not common.
"This has been used politically in a search for electoral support," said Mansur Escudero, president of the Islamic Commission of Spain. He said he last saw a woman wearing a burqa in Spain 10 years ago in the southern city of Marbella, where Saudi Arabia's royal family and other wealthy Arab clans own large homes and estates.
Escudero said the woman could have been a tourist. The only woman he knew who regularly wore a burqa had lived in the southern city of Cordoba and died about a decade ago.
The issue nevertheless remains an emotional touchstone, and Justice Minister Francisco Caamano said that such garments were "hardly compatible with human dignity."
Caamano said in June the government would begin debating a ban on women wearing burqas in government buildings which would include courts, ministries and employment offices as part of the religious issues bill.
But the government opposes legislating a ban in public spaces, as that could force women who wear such clothing to make difficult choices: Go out in public and break the law, or stay home all the time.
"We want to avoid putting women who live in this kind of situation in a dual jail," said Eduardo Madina, secretary general for the ruling Socialist Party in the lower house of parliament.

How Should Ugandan Christians Respond to Recent Terror Attacks?
http://www.yesumulungi.com/index.php/commentaries/423-how-should-ugandan-christians-respond-to-recent-terror-attacks.html
Kato Mivule | July 15, 2010
It is with sadness and great sorrow that a number of Ugandans perished on July 11th 2010 as a result of terrorist attacks that Somalia's Al Shabab Terror group has claimed responsibility. As of writing this, the death toll is 90 people dead including scores of those injured. Among the dead include Ugandan Nationals, Born Again Christians, and even an American Missionary from the United States.
Our prayers, thoughts and sympathy to all those who lost loved ones , including those still in hospitals.
Uganda has a long history with Somalia, a number of Somalian Refugees have sought a safe haven in Kampala, Uganda and for years worked mainly in the Transportation Industry, and largely never having been involved in acts contrary to the Law.
However, in recent years when the “War on Terror” was declared by President George W Bush, Ugandans joined the “Coalition of the willing” and sent a contingent of almost 6000 Ugandan Soldiers to help with Peace keeping Mission in Somalia.
The Somalian Warlords (Al Shabab) warned that Ugandans should pull out of Somalia else Uganda would suffer consequences. It is on July 11, 2010 that as hundreds were glued to their TV sets watching the World Cup that acts of terror were carried out against Ugandans and foreigners who had gathered for the World Cup festivities.
However, how should we as Christians respond? Those who have read my articles for a while know that I am anti-war, anti-violence, and a strong believer in the none violence approach to settling conflicts; therefore I would give my opinion along the same lines. This in noway trivializes the enormous work that Police and Law enforces do in protecting citizens. My prayer is that this even would not be used as another pretext for more wars and thus more violence.
A number of Ugandan Christians are angry and seek revenge, retribution, and justice; which all is understandable. Yet we have to remember what The Lord Jesus Christ taught concerning such matters. There are calls by some Christians for Uganda to escalate the war in Somalia and deal decisively with the terrorists. All this is understandable. However as Christians we need to step back and reflect in light of what Jesus Christ taught – and that is the better way of peace.
So, some will ask, should Justice not be served? I agree that Justice should be served but if there is any Peaceful means to solve the troubles of violence in Africa which we have had for so long, then I would take the route of Peace and Reconciliation. Somalia is a failed State and another wave of retributive violence will not help solve the troubles there.
Secondly, Africa has been and is still prone to religious wars. It is not too long ago that Christians got into bloody fights with Moslems in Nigeria and hundreds were killed. In Egypt, Coptic Christians faced riots from angry mobs of radical Moslems. Therefore, it is in the interest of African Christians that the route of Peace, Forgiveness, and Reconciliation should be sought and worked for diligently.
Rather than foster thoughts of revenge or call to arms and continual bombing of Somalia, it is time that we as Christians will be instruments of Peace, Forgiveness and Reconciliation. I am not advocating for Ecumenism or a One World Religion but simply a practicing of the words that Jesus Christ taught His Disciples.
The New Testament teachings on Non Violence as THE Christian Response to Violent acts against Christians is overwhelming and for those Christians who still take the New Testament Teachings as Binding, below are some New Testament scriptures to think about...
Mat 5:38-39 KJV Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: (39) But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Mat 5:9 KJV Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:44 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mat 7:12 KJV Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Mat 26:52 KJV Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Luk 6:37 KJV Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Luk 6:27-28 KJV But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, (28) Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Rom 12:17 KJV Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:21 KJV Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
1Th 5:15 KJV See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1Pe 3:9 KJV Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Don't listen to Preachers and Pastors who work hard at pleasing politicians on their call for retribution and revenge. The New Testament is clear that we are to do good and NOT to return evil for evil but return good for evil. Perhaps now is the time to reach out to the Somalia Community in the Kisenyi slums of Kampala and minister to them, bless them, provide the necessities that they need, and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in deeds.
Yes, the West might have its own interest in pushing the Ugandan Government to keep the fight in Somalia but at what cost to the poor Africans in this proxy war? In Uganda and East Africa at large Moslems and Christians have been living side by side at least fairly peaceful – co-existing. However, there is a risk that a religious war might arise with Christians seeking revenge against the Moslems and worse, Ugandan populations seeking revenge against the Somalian Refugees in Kampala's slums, Uganda's Capital.
One Ugandan Christian Blogger thought out of desperation that the only way to fight such terror is to “preach the gospel and turn all Moslems into Christians”. Well, such statements are way out of reality and some even borrow from Dominionist Christians who believe that God has to use “Christian Governments” to enforce a Christian Theocracy in the world. We have to watch out for such false sentiments that are unbiblical and contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our prayers are that Ugandan Christians will not give in to anger, revenge, retribution, and 'Christian Militant-ism' but rather choose the way of Peace, Forgiveness, and Reconciliation, as The Lord has given us such a ministry – Ministry of Reconciliation. We pray for the Ugandan Secular Leaders that perhaps they will seek ways of Peace to resolve this complex Somalia issue and seek an exist strategy out of Somalia peacefully and let Somalians self determine peacefully.
God Bless Your

Mat 5:44 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mat 7:12 KJV Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

For Rev. Samir Khalil Samir, the French burqa ban is an invitation for Muslims to strive for integration and to marginalize Salafi trends of opposition and conflict. Moreover, the burqa has no justification in Islamic tradition, it is merely Saudi Arabian custom which confirms chauvinism and the "the woman’s grave".
by Samir Khalil Samir Thursday, July 15, 2010
What happened? Just days ago the French parliament passed a law banning the complete covering the face in public places, making it illegal to wear a burqa. The amazing fact is the unanimous nature of the vote (355 out of 500, only 1 against). There has been talk of banning the burqa for over a year in France. Initially, a police survey stated that the phenomenon involved a few hundred. But today - in a similar manner to Islamic countries - there are at least 2 000 people who wear the full veil in France. Likewise, in Egypt, from a few hundred in 2001, that number has now reached up to 16% of women.
Now France is talking about 2000, but if nothing is done, the problem will mushroom. It will spread because it is born of an ideological position. Where does this desire to completely cover women come from?
The burqa is not Islamic
From the start, it needs to be said that there is not the slightest reference in the Koran or Islamic tradition (Sunnah) regarding this issue. Therefore it is not an Islamic norm. None of the Koranic scholars dare say so, but there are many who claim that it is a religious norm.
Its use however is widespread in some countries of Muslim tradition: Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Peninsula, Afghanistan. The chador has nothing to do with the burqa or the niqab (Arabic word). The burqa is therefore an exception and not a rule at all. But unfortunately these countries - particularly Saudi Arabia - dominate ideology in the Muslim world, their customs, thanks to Saudi Arabia’s money, is becoming more widespread.
For example, millions of Egyptian workers, on returning from working in Saudi Arabia, start living according to Saudi tradition (not Islamic!) forcing their wives also to follow suit. Sometimes they even receive financial support .
The Egyptian man, seeing Saudi women completely covered, grows used to it and feels heartened in his manhood, which moreover is supported – in this case yes – by the Koran itself [1]. Thus, the traditional woman has always understood that to be religious she must be obedient to her husband. So much so that if her husband forbids her to go to pray in the mosque and she goes anyway, she is actually committing a greater sin than not going to the mosque!
There is therefore a predisposition in both sexes to keep wives fully covered, which stems from male jealousy and the subjugation of women. Some women, wearing the burqa, feel protected from inquisitive eyes of men.
It must be said that in many Muslim countries the burqa has been banned because (as in Tunisia) “it is not part of our tradition ", in Turkey it is forbidden in the name of secularism. In Egypt, in November 2009, the late Rector of the Islamic Al-Azhar, Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi, the highest religious authority in Egypt, banned it, saying to students: "The niqab is only a custom, it has no link with Islam, neither close or distant!". In February 2010, Egyptian Prime Minister Nazif, called it "a denial of woman!
So who are those people who want to wear it at all costs in Europe? And why? Usually they belong to the "Salafi" trend, which preaches a return to the tradition the first century of Islam. This is common in many groups of Islamic activists, who attract many European women often through marriage. Years ago I was invited to lecture at Göttingen (Germany) on women in Islam. Those who attacked me were not the Muslim Turks in the room, but only three German women doctors, who had converted to Islam. Wearing the veil, they continued to claim that Islam is the best religion for women.
In fact in France the full veil is worn by women who have never worn it before and also by converts. For this we can conclude that the choice to wear the full veil is not born of tradition or religious values, but a ideological spirit that preaches a return to the cultural tradition of seventh century Arabia, often in opposition to the West.
Moreover, its overnight appearance and its spread is due to recent publicity regarding its use in the Islamic world. With the burqa, they claim to be the only truly authentic Muslims.
The European reaction to the full veil
Europe is reacting to the burqa in a firm and decided manner: since yesterday there is a law against it in France, in Belgium there has been a law banning the full veil for several months, the burqa is banned in Barcelona and it is discussed in other parts of continent.
Europeans are against the burqa because it goes against the European tradition: wearing it is in fact a way to reject integration into European culture.
The phenomenon is small - for now - and involves a few thousand women, but creates immediate revulsion. This dress in one piece of cloth, black, a sort of " woman’s grave" it makes them seem like "walking ghosts". It has become a symbol of the subjugation of women and goes against equality between men and women.
For some time now attempts have been made in the West to reject visible distinctions that create divisions between men and women. But in Arab world as well, since the 1920’s there has been a massive movement, with demonstrations and sit-ins against the veil. And there is a whole genre of feminist literature in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia and elsewhere, part of the 1930s campaign against the veil which was a great success. Some imams supported their position. At that time there was no talk of the full veil, even the simple veil was condemned.
Reading the text of the 2007 "Riyadh Declaration"[2], we note that invited Muslim countries start with a premise: We want to reach the world and move towards progress. But this wave of the return of the burqa goes in the opposite direction to progress and is motivated by ideological ends!
On the other hand, the West has its own ideology and sees its use as a humiliation of women. The text of the French law, proposed by Justice Minister, Michele Alliot-Marie said that full covering of the face is contrary to the values of the republic.
It only seems right that the French should defend their culture. The parliamentarians reaction was completely unanimous (only one vote against) . Even the French Socialists – who abstained - have always been against it. When the law was passed in Belgium there were only two against.
This consensus shows that we are touching something important in Western minds. If one considers the ease with which France gives citizenship to migrants, one concludes that the nation has a strong desire for integration. But if the persons in question react by rejecting French or European culture, while simultaneously wanting to live in France or in Europe, then this creates a contradiction and a problem.
The Muslim response
According to the reactions I've read and after participating in several forums on the French law, I can say that the majority of Muslim men and women are against the full veil. Only the fundamentalists (the Salafis) are in favour of it. Yet the majority of Muslims in Europe and France seem to be against this law. I can think that this is only for psychological reasons. "We – they say - are the community that is always pointed out as dangerous, we are victims of Islamophobia, it is an attack against Islam, we are always painted as the bad guys ....
Actually it is the other way round: there is a campaign against Western culture in the Islamic world - at least by a part of Muslims. So who is the aggressor and who the aggrieved? Each group can certainly make judgments about the goodness or otherwise of one or another culture. But if a Westerner is to live in Egypt and then spits on Egyptian culture, at best he should leave. If he does not like the culture if there is no shared feeling, why stay? My culture may have some flaws, but then let us work to change it together, do not despise it from the outset.
Well I have rarely seen Muslims that encourage other fellow Muslims to integrate and fit into the community where they live, the culture of the country where they are. Yet this should be their first natural attitude: gratitude to the country where they are and pride of belonging to this country.
And this raises a question: is being a Muslim or Christian or Jew antagonistic to "being Italian or Moroccan, or Russian? Can we equate religious identity and national identity? Still today, in the West, if people are introducing themselves to a group, they say: "I'm German, or Polish, or Egyptian", but no one thinks of saying "I am a Christian." For the Muslims, the answer is often "I am a Muslim”, as if it indicated belonging to a homeland. The result is a dual belonging, as if saying "I am French, but Muslim." This evokes the attitude of the Jews in 1800, analyzed by Karl Marx in his book "The Jewish Question" (Zur Judenfrage, 1843) in response to the study of the theologian Bruno Bauer, published a few months before with the same title.
I would therefore like to say to the Muslims; it is up to you to educate your people, encouraging them towards integration and not confrontation. Why do your thousands of imams - often paid for by Muslim countries and not by communities in Europe - not teach integration with European culture? Maybe because they are in the front line of those who are anti-Western!
Instead of criticizing the French government or some other European government, why not undertake a little self-criticism, condemn terrorism and those who oppose integration!
In France the Muslim community is not for violence but no Muslim ever come out onto the streets to condemn fundamentalism and Salafism. Yet the struggle against fundamentalism is one of the most urgent priorities of the same Islamic countries. It is now clear that it is fundamentalism that is holding back the development of the Muslim world, right up to the point of becoming fanaticism, which can lead to terrorism.
The law, an invitation to the Muslims of Europe
The recently voted French law seems balanced. It provides for six months of time allow people become used to the new rules, to allow reflection and evolution. The wording is very cautious: it does not talk about the full veil, rather it refers to the complete covering of the face. It explains exactly how and when it is forbidden, it also outlines exceptions (illness, medical bandages, carnival, etc ...). This law does not want to be anti-Muslim - even if the occasion was born of the full “Islamic” veil - but a more general rule that applies to everyone, a standard of living together. The penalties are also interesting: a fine of 150 Euros or citizenship education, a kind of educational training for coexistence.
The law presents a large difference between the penalty for those who wear the burqa (150 Euros) and for those who force others to wear the burqa: a fine of 30,000 Euros a year in prison (twice if it involves a minor). It also explains outlines the following types of cases: men or women (not just husbands or fathers) who by threats, violence, coercion, abuse of power, abuse of authority force someone to cover her face. This shows that the purpose of the Act is to achieve the values of equality and freedom.
Was this law really necessary?
Was it really necessary to do this? Building on the experience of Muslim countries, where the full veil is increasingly becoming the norm despite the desire of those in charge to stop it, I think that without a law, the ideological context of the current Muslim world, would drive more Muslim women to wear it.
Therefore this law is both important and beneficial, not because it's about a piece of cloth, but because it addresses a ideological mentality of opposition and rejection, which ultimately brings more harm to the Muslim community and society overall. The full veil is a symbol that clearly says "No to your civilization." This symbol is disputed in most Muslim countries in the world! But it is equally important that the French Muslim community, the largest in Europe, enters the playing field and cooperate with all possible means in a common reflection. Beyond the veil, it is about the global attitude to Western society, different from Muslim society [3], better in some aspects but worse in others, which is entitled to exist and to be law. Because they are French Muslims - like all citizens - have a double duty to defend this civilization and criticize it.
Islam is growing in Europe through migration and demography. Are Muslims ready to accept this society where they are a minority (although I always repeat "it is the second religion of Europe")? It would be important to help the Muslim community to integrate into European culture, albeit with the necessary corrections. The Muslims of Arabia will be the ones to make this integration possible, rather the Muslims who already living in Europe. The Muslim world is especially facing modernity. Until the 1970's it tried to assimilate modernity, by reflecting on its culture. The Salafis tendency is to reject modernity, with the sole exception of the advanced technology it produces, in short, harvest the fruit without learning how to produce it because it's too dangerous! It's time to expand our vision to be 100% European and 100% Muslim or Christian or Jew, or atheist, etc..
The law is thus more an invitation to the Muslim community rather than something against Islam. It is a way to reconcile being a part of French civilization with a Islamic faith deeply lived and rethought.

Get the burka, the head-to-toe Muslim veil, off the streets.
That's the message from large majorities in numerous Western European countries as French parliamentarians gear up to vote on Tuesday on a controversial proposed bill that would make it illegal for Muslim women to wear the burka in public places, a new report suggests.
According to a survey conducted by the U.S.-based Pew Research Center in April and May this year, support for banning the burka is especially high in France, where a whopping 82% are in favor of outlawing it in public places such as schools, hospitals and government offices, while just 17% are opposed to such measures.
But the study also indicates that the garment, which has been the subject of much heated debate and controversy in Europe, is becoming increasingly unpopular in Germany, Britain, and Spain, where 71%, 62% and 59%, respectively, of those surveyed endorsed burka bans similar to the proposed French law in their own countries.
Americans, on the other hand, remain strongly opposed to such a law. Only 28% of those surveyed in the U.S. were in support of a burka ban while 65% disapproved.
Majorities of all different age groups in the four Western European countries surveyed (France, Britain, Germany, Spain) expressed support for getting burkas out of public places, but the desire to ban it was especially high among those age 55 and older, the study found.
"It's unpleasant when you can't see the face of the person you are looking at or talking to. I think it's scary when they walk around like that in the streets of Stockholm," 96-year old Elsa, long since retired, told Babylon & Beyond in the Swedish capital.
Another passer-by, a woman in her late 60s, said that total face-masking in public places -- whether a clown's mask or a burka -- is "repugnant" while expressing concern over claims by some that the face-covering black veil is a tool used by fundamentalist men to repress women.
In terms of political ideology, those on the right in the majority of the countries surveyed were overall more likely than those on the left to endorse a burka ban, although the study still found widespread support for such a law across the political spectrum.
In Paris, one communist lawmaker reportedly compared the cloak to "walking coffins" while another from President Nicolas Sarkozy's conservative party stressed that women who wear the burka must be liberated -- even if it's against their will.
Security and the garment being an alleged symbol of repression were two of the main arguments when a representative from Sweden's conservative nationalist political party The Sweden Democrats explained to Babylon & Beyond the reasoning behind the party's support for a burka ban.
"We are in favor of a ban for full-covering veils," media spokesperson for the Sweden Democrats Mattias Karlsson said. "It's a symbol of far-reaching Islamism and a totalitarian political ideology that's against equality between the sexes and advocates violence. It's like putting the responsibility of men's instincts on the women."
But Erik Ullenhag, party secretary for Sweden's Liberal People's Party, which is part of the current center-right governing bloc, said that his party was against any legislation against clothing, although he pointed out that the black cloak might not be the most suitable piece of clothing to wear in certain professions. Teaching, for example.
"We don't want a burka ban," he said. "People should decide for themselves what they want to wear. The burka can at times be an expression of a very patriarchal structure but we're against laws against clothing."

Widespread Support for Banning Full Islamic Veil in Western Europe

Most Americans Disapprove
July 8, 2010
On July 13, members of the lower house of the French parliament are expected to vote on a bill that would make it illegal for Muslim women to wear full veils -- those that cover all of the face except the eyes -- in public places. A survey by the Pew Research Center's Global Attitudes Project, conducted April 7 to May 8, finds that the French public overwhelmingly endorses this measure; 82% approve of a ban on Muslim women wearing full veils in public, including schools, hospitals and government offices, while just 17% disapprove.1
Majorities in Germany (71%), Britain (62%) and Spain (59%) would also support a similar ban in their own countries. In contrast, most Americans would oppose such a measure; 65% say they would disapprove of a ban on Muslim women wearing full veils in public places compared with 28% who say they would approve.
In the four Western European countries surveyed as well as in the U.S., support for a ban on Muslim women wearing a full veil is more pronounced among those who are age 55 and older, although majorities across all age groups in France, Germany and Britain favor a ban. For example, 91% of French respondents age 55 and older approve of restrictions on Muslim women covering their face, compared with 81% of those ages 35 to 54 and 72% of those younger than 35.
In Spain, where 70% in the older group and a narrower majority (55%) of those ages 35 to 54 favor a ban on full veils, younger respondents are closely divided; 49% of those ages 18 to 34 approve of such measures and 47% disapprove. In the U.S., about one-third (35%) of those in the oldest age group say they would welcome a ban on veils that cover the whole face except the eyes, while 28% of those ages 35 to 54 and just 22% of those younger than 35 say the same.
Opinions about banning Muslim women from wearing a full veil do not vary along gender lines in any of the five countries where the question was asked. In France, Britain and the U.S., views on this matter are also similar across education and income groups. However, in Spain and Germany, those in higher income groups are more likely than the less affluent to approve of such a ban; for example, a slim majority (51%) of low-income respondents in Spain favor a ban on full veils, compared with 62% of those in the middle-income range and 68% of those with high incomes.
Ideologically, those on the right in France, Britain and Germany are more likely than those on the left to approve of a ban on women wearing the full Islamic veil in public places, but majorities across the political spectrum in these countries endorse such a ban. In France, 87% of those on the right support prohibiting women from wearing full veils in public, and 75% of those on the political left agree.
Spain is the only Western European country surveyed where those on both ends of the ideology scale express nearly identical views; 59% of those on the right and 57% of those on the left approve of a ban on Muslim women wearing veils that cover the whole face. Ideological differences are also insignificant in the U.S.

KAMPALA, Uganda — A special committee organized by the president of Uganda has recommended that a harsh antihomosexuality bill that has drawn the ire of Western governments be withdrawn from Parliament, a senior government official said Saturday.
Adolf Mwesige, a lawmaker and chairman of the special committee, said that virtually all clauses in the legislation were either unconstitutional or redundant, and that any other clauses should be placed in another bill dealing generally with sexual offenses.
“Ninety-nine percent of all the proposals in the Bahati bill have been done before,” Mr. Mwesige said. “If we proceeded, it would definitely provoke criticism, and rightly so.”
The antihomosexuality bill, also known as the Bahati bill after David Bahati, the lawmaker who proposed it last year, has been widely criticized by human rights groups and foreign governments. It calls for homosexuals to be executed in some cases. It also says that homosexuals should be extradited and that people in Uganda must report anybody known to have committed a homosexual act within 24 hours. The bill found backing from a number of Uganda’s influential evangelical pastors, some of whom have been supported and partially financed by American churches.
Uganda’s president, Yoweri Museveni, has publicly shown concern about the legislation and formed the review committee in February in response to international scrutiny. Though the panel’s ruling is not the final word, analysts saw it as a strong sign that the bill would eventually be dropped.
Gay rights activists in Uganda were hopeful on Saturday that that would be the case. “So far the recommendations are welcomed by the community,” said Kasha Jacqueline, director of Freedom and Roam Uganda.
Mr. Mwesige said he expected the full Parliament to vote down the bill within weeks. “The influence of the cabinet is very important. If it takes a decision, it must be taken seriously.”

BWAISE Pentecostal Church lost its senior pastor, Peter Mutabazi, and a lead vocalist, Becky Tendo Nakitende, in the blast at the Ethiopian Village in Kabalagala.
Nakitende, the mother of a four-year-old child, was buried in Sisa sub-county, Wakiso district, while Mutabazi was buried in Kanoni sub-county, also in Wakiso district.
Mutabazi is survived by a widow, Alice, and five children.
Prayers at Bwaise Pentecostal Church on Tuesday were led by Pastor David Kiganda of Christian Focus Centre. Present was the Vice-President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya.
According to a statement from Vice-President’s office, Bukenya said the Government would hunt down those responsible for the blasts.
He urged the public to be on the lookout for strangers and suspicious luggage.
Bukenya commended US President Barack Obama for condemning the attacks by the al-Shabaab militants.
Hosting American pastors at his Katoomi Kingdom Resort Hotel in Wakiso district, Bukenya called for calm as the Government intensifies the search for perpetrators of the crime.
American Died Living His Dream in Uganda

(July 12) -- Nate Henn was realizing a long-held dream of living in Uganda as an aid worker, writing on his Facebook page recently that he was living the best days of his life in the African country, where he helped educate former child soldiers.
Henn's work was cut short Sunday, when he was among the scores killed in the Uganda bombings while watching the World Cup final. He was 25. The three-pronged terrorist attack at a rugby club, an Ethiopian restaurant and a bar popular with tourists injured dozens, including six Methodist missionaries from a Pennsylvania church.
Henn, a Wilmington, Del., native and former college rugby player at the University of Delaware, had traveled to the capital city of Kampala as an aid worker with the California-based nonprofit Invisible Children.
"It is with deep sadness that we write to tell you that one of our dear friends has been lost in the terrorist attack," Invisible Children said on its website. "Nate was not a glory-seeker and never sought the spotlight. He asked not to be made a hero of. But the life he lived inspires reflection and imitation."
Invisible Children said Henn's students nicknamed him "Oteka," meaning "The Strong One." He died with at least 48 others at the rugby field when one of the three synchronized bombs struck.
Henn had worked with Invisible Children for a year and a half. Before going to Uganda, Henn traveled around the United States without pay, "advocating for the freedom of abducted child soldiers," the group said. Henn had raised thousands of dollars for war-affected Ugandan children.
According to Invisible Children, Henn recently wrote a message to his Facebook friends saying, "thank you for helping me achieve my dream of getting to Uganda."
"Nate's life ended while living out this dream, a selfless dream of putting others first, seeking peace and living a life of integrity," the group said. "He will be forever missed, forever remembered, and his legacy will live on in our love and deeds."
Former Washington Post journalist Dave Weigel, a high school friend of Henn's, mourned the aid worker's death with a post at The Atlantic's website today, saying he is "devastated."
"It didn't surprise me that he devoted his life to charity work," Weigel wrote. "A lot of people loved Nate and depended on him, and it hurts to watch them post on his Facebook wall promises to 'see you soon.'"
Henn played rugby for almost two semesters at the University of Delaware, where he attended from September 2003 to December 2008 but did not earn a degree, The Associated Press reported.
"He was a really, really nice guy," Jason Vanterpool, a rugby teammate, told the AP.
Members of Christ Community United Methodist Church in Selinsgrove, Pa., were in Kampala as part of a two-week mission when the suicide bombing tore through the Ethiopian restaurant where they dined and watched the World Cup.
Their families in the U.S. now wait for word on their condition, many of them praying at the church in Selinsgrove, Gerald Wolgemuth, director of communications for the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church, told AOL News.
"The uncertainty is devastating. Folks have not talked to their families," Wolgemuth said. "We are led to believe the injuries are not life threatening, but at this point we're not really sure."
Relatives are relying on news reports and updates to the mission group's blog, he said. Some members of the group await airlifting to a trauma center in Johannesburg, South Africa, to better treat their injuries, which include shrapnel wounds and broken limbs.
Among those who expect to be transported to Johannesburg is Christ Community parishioner Kris Sledge, 18, of Selinsgrove. According to the mission's blog, Sledge suffered a broken right leg with a "very deep blast wound" and also sustained blast wounds to his face.
"I remember blacking out, hearing people screaming and running," Sledge told the AP from the hospital in Kampala. "I love the place here but I'm wondering why this happened and who did this. ... At this point we're just glad to be alive."
According to the Pennsylvania mission's blog, Joanne Kerstetter and her granddaughter, Emily Kerstetter, 16, both of Selinsgrove, will be airlifted to Johannesburg, where Emily will require surgery on her leg.
Lori Ssebulime, the team leader of the Christ Community mission, who was "shaken" but not seriously injured, cared for Emily after the attack.
"Emily was rolling around in a pool of blood screaming," Ssebulime told the AP. "Five minutes before it went off, Emily said she was going to cry so hard because she didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay the rest of the summer here."
Pam Kramer, 46, of Winfield, Pa., suffered a broken leg, and her 14-year-old son, Thomas, will undergo "immediate" surgery on his leg in Johannesburg.
Kramer's husband, Scott, said he received a comforting phone call from his wife, a supervisor of special education for a school, on Sunday night.
"I was worried until I got a call from my wife," Kramer, 49, told The Wall Street Journal. "Just hearing her voice is much better because we didn't know anything."
Nine members of the Christ Community mission returned to the U.S. last week, and the remaining six were scheduled to return to the U.S. on Tuesday. The group spent more than two weeks in the country, listing their mission as evangelism and the construction of a wall around the school and church property of Bwaise Pentecostal Church in Kampala.
The Pennsylvania group said it was awaiting word on the condition of Bwaise's pastor, Peter Mutabazi, who was missing in the aftermath of the attacks.
Members of the Christ Community church planned to gather for prayer tonight, including the family of Kris Sledge.
"I would say they're fine considering the circumstances," Wolgemuth told AOL News. "But they are emotionally distraught at this point, waiting for better information."

A SCRIPTURAL REBUTTAL OF THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL
By Danny McDowell
1. (1 Timothy 6:1-11 KJV) Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own
masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. {2} And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. {3} If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; {4} He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, {5} Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. {6} But godliness with contentment is great gain. {7} For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. {8} And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. {9} But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. {10} For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. {11} But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
2. (Luke 4:18 KJV) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
3. (Luke 6:20 KJV) And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor:for yours is the kingdom of God.
4. (Luke 12:15 KJV) And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
5. (Luke 12:22-31 KJV) And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no
thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. {23} The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. {24} Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? {25} And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? {26} If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? {27} Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. {28} If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? {29} And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. {30} For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. {31} But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
6. (Luke 12:33-34 KJV) Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. {34} For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
7. (Luke 16:13 KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
8. (Luke 16:15 KJV) And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
9. (Matthew 6:19-20 KJV) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: {20} But lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
10. (Mark 10:21 KJV) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing
thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
11. (Mark 10:25 KJV) It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Refer back to Scripture #1 for I Timothy passage)
12. (Hebrews 13:5 KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content
with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
13. (Philippians 4:11-13 KJV) Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in
whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. {12} I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. {13} I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV) And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: (Deuteronomy 28:15 KJV) But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
14. (Philippians 4:19 KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
15. (Proverbs 23:4-5 KJV) Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. {5} Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
16. (Proverbs 30:7-9 KJV) Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: {8} Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: {9} Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
17. (Matthew 16:24-26 KJV) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. {25} For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. {26} For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
18. (Luke 14:33 KJV) So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. 19. (Luke 6:38 KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
20. (1 Corinthians 4:9-13 KJV) For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. {10} We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. {11} Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; {12} And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: {13} Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
21. (Matthew 8:20 KJV) And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
22. (Mark 10:17-31 KJV) And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one
running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit
eternal life? {18} And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but
one, that is, God. {19} Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. {20} And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. {21} Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. {22} And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. {23} And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! {24} And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! {25} It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. {26} And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? {27} And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. {28} Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. {29} And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, {30} But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. {31} But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
23. (2 Corinthians 9:1 KJV) For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
24. (2 Corinthians 9:5-6 KJV) Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up before hand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. {6} But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
25. (Mark 4:3-9 KJV) Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: {4} And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. {5} And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: {6} But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. {7} And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. {8} And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. {9} And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
KJV
26. (Habakkuk 3:17-18 KJV) Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: {18} Yet I will rejoice in the
LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Bishop David Kiganda’s stinking Prosperity Gospel: Money in one hand and the bible in the other
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the midst of darkness is reserved for ever.(2 Peter 2:17)
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the fresh… .(2 Peter 2:18)
14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14)
On the Focus supper summons which are aired on Pastor’s kiganda’s Kingdom FM radio, Pastor Kiganda has been preaching the heresy that you can not preach the gospel without money. According to him without money, there is no gospel. He one time said on his LTV programme that Jesus’s primary mission was not to save people from their sins but rather to save people from poverty. Pastor David Kiganda is a fan of Creflo dollar and TBN and the TITHE heresy , he always testifies about his escapeddes in America. I really pitty this generation of cursed pastors who love mammon and hate the simple teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

BISHOP DAVID KIGANDA'S TITHING NONSENSE
http://www.yesumulungi.com/index.php/apostasy-watch/359-pastor-namutebis-theology-the-forbidden-in-tree-in-genesis-was-the-tithe-.html
Pastor David Kiganda urgues that you need money in one hand and the bible in the other in order to preach an effective gospel. He believes that who ever is poor needs to extricate his riches from the control of the devil. Pastors like David Kiganda are peddling these lies because they preaching to scriptually illiterate and apostate congregations. His favourite prosperity verse is III John 2
It must be noted that the epistles of John are fundamentally about righteousness, holiness, purity and repetence. They are not about attaining material riches such as money, cars, houses and all this junk. Therefore there is no way the prosperity in III John 2 can fundametally be of a material nature.
What most Christians do not know is the fact that Pastor David Kiganda has tactfully dodged the first epistle of John because it exposes his rotten prosperity gospel. Let us look at some the versesin 1 John that pastors like KIganda hate so much.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them( I John 4:5)
1 John 2:15-18
(15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
(16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
GOD’S WORD SHOWS HOW FOOLISH PASTOR KIGANDA’S PROSPERITY GOSPEL IS. IF WE CAN NOT PREACH THE GOSPEL WITHOUT MONEY, HOW MUCH MONEY DID JOHN THE BAPTIST HAVE??? DID JOHN THE BAPTIST PREACH A GOSPEL OF MATERIAL PROSPERITY OR REPENTANCE????CHECK THIS OUT.
Matthew 3:1-8
1In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance
IF MONEY IS SO IMPORTANT, AS BISHOP KIGANDA SAYS, WHY DID JESUS SEND THE DISCIPLES OUT IN MATTHEW 10 AND TOLD THEM NOT TO TAKE ANY THING. CHECK THIS OUT . check this out.
1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Dear Bishop David Kiganda , have you ever questioned why God calls the church in Smyna poor but RICH and the Laodicean Rich but POOR . God is more interested in spiritual wealth than material wealth. Do you know the parable of the rich fool in Luke 12, this fool was materially rich but spiritually poor and definitely he ended up in hell.Check this:
8And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.( Revelation 2:8-10)
14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.( Revelation 3:14-18)
15And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 16And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. 22And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.(Luke 12:15-31)
Scriptures which Prosperity Pastors like Bishop Kiganda hate so much:
My kingdom is not of this world(John 18:36)
27Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. John 6:27
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.(Matthew 6:19-12)
1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth(Colossians 3:1-2).
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.(1 John 2:15-18)
(4) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
(5) Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?(James 4:4-5)
1 Timothy 6:3-10
(3) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
(4) He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
(5) Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
(6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
(9) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
(10) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Prosperity Gospel - A Gospel Of The Antichrist

1 John 4:1-6
(1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
(2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
(3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
(6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh...this is the spirit of the Antichrist... However, the 'confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh' is not a mere outside mouth confession or a religious confession in church but an acknowledgment, realization, submission to The Lordship of Jesus Christ in our personal life and from the heart to the fact that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh...that He reigns as Lord in our personal lives.
1 John 4:2
(2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
It is the recognition, realization, submission, and obedience to the Life, Authority, Power, Lordship, Command, Word of God, and Life of Suffering, of Jesus Christ. So, this is not just mere confession on the outside that “Jesus Christ is come in the flesh” yet when one’s life and heart are totally contrary to the ‘Life of Jesus Christ in the Flesh’.
'Confess' in Greek...
G3670
ὁμολογέω
homologeō
hom-ol-og-eh'-o
From a compound of the base of G3674 and G3056; to assent, that is, covenant, acknowledge: - con- (pro-) fess, confession is made, give thanks, promise.
So, the Greek word that John used here ‘confess’ is ‘homologeo’ meaning…
• To Assent...
• Covenant…
• Acknowledge…
• Confess…
• Give Thanks…
So, the verse above speaks about not only confessing the that 'Christ Jesus is come in the flesh' but obeying Jesus Christ and living the life of Jesus Christ in us. Just as Christ Jesus walked in the flesh, so we follow His example and we too walk a life that is dead to this world, sin and evil and live the life of Jesus Christ in us.
This means total obedience to the commands of Jesus Christ in us. It means dying to the things of the world and the pleasures of the world. It means carrying our cross and following Jesus Christ daily.
If we Confess, Acknowledge, Realize, Covenant, Assent that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, then we live that life of suffering just as Jesus Christ suffered, we live the life of the cross, we then love the things Jesus Christ loves and hate what He hates. This means not being a friend of the world and not loving the things that are in the world. It means 100% obedience to Christ Jesus regardless of the price and cost, even if it means our very lives.
1 John 4:3
(3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
The Antichrist spirit confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh...this is a spirit of rebellion that does not realize, acknowledge, submit to the Lordship and Life of Jesus Christ. This Antichrist spirit submits to the things of the world, to the life and lordship of the world, riches, materialism, silver, gold, and submission to man.
The deceptiveness about this Antichrist spirit is it's characteristic of hypocrisy; religious Christians in this category merely “confess” that Jesus Christ is Lord and that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh but they do not obey the commands of The Lord...they merely say Lord, Lord but don't do the things The Lord commands...
Matthew 7:19-23
(19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
(20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It is interesting to note that the ‘Confess Jesus Christ is come in the flesh’ is in present tense and not past. Christ Jesus dwells in those who obey his commands, those who love Him, His saints, His True Church…and in Him we live, move, and have our being.
Acts 17:28
(28) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
'Is come' in Greek...
G2064
ἔρχομαι
erchomai
er'-khom-ahee
Middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses, the others being supplied by a kindred [middle voice] word, ἐλεύθομαι eleuthomai or ἔλθω elthō; which do not otherwise occur); to come or go (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively): - accompany, appear, bring, come enter, fall out, go, grow, X light, X next, pass, resort, be set.
So, the 'Is Come' in Greek is 'erchomai' generally meaning here...
• Accompany
• Appear
• Bring
• Come
• Enter
• Fall Out
• Go
• Grow
The life we live, we live in Christ Jesus and Jesus Christ in us. We don't live on our own but submit to His will and obey His commandments. Such a life is a life of the Cross, it is not a life of pleasures of this world as the Prosperity preachers desire us to believe.
Galatians 2:20
(20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
If Christ Jesus lives in us then we shall follow after His leading and example and not conform to the standards of this world.
For Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever…as He walked, so does He still walk, and so will He walk and even so we ought to walk after His likeness and character...
Jesus Christ was not parading around in the best SUV, Corporate Jet, designer clothing, million dollar houses, fat bank accounts, expensive vacations and cruises...Jesus Christ lived a simple life, a life that was not attached to the riches of this world and not a friend to the powerful and the elite. Jesus Christ reached out to the sinners, sick and the poor of His day and so must we if Christ Jesus truly dwells in us and if we truly confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh....
James 4:4-5
(4) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
(5) Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Prosperity Preachers always speak about terms like 'increase', 'going to the next level', 'being fruitful', 'divine favor in the world and business', financial increase, influence...and many other blasphemous terms...what the Prosperity teachers are doing is conforming Christian to the world and submission to man...this is the spirit of the Antichrist that 'Confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh'...
Brothers and Sisters be forewarned that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God. Those preachers who seduce you to such philosophies are liars and wolves in sheepskin seeking only to destroy your faith in Christ Jesus.
Now, many prosperity preachers argue that they also take care of the poor, orphans and help the sick but this is just Hypocrisy 101; these greedy preachers simply throw money in orphanages and pretend to help the poor not because they love to but because they seek to use the poverty of the poor for their own gain...
They get more donations when they show pictures of the poor to their donors...they pretend to preach the gospel but what they preach is heresy...their care for the poor is nothing but pure hypocrisy...they are like the IMF and World Bank “giving” Africans “Grants” which they expect Africans to repay somehow somewhere sometime in the future back to the world's elite Bankers - IMF and World Bank.
John 15:4
(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Hebrews 13:8
(8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
1 John 2:6
(6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
So, we understand that the “confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh” has to do with our total obedience to Jesus Christ, abiding in Him, He abiding in us and them we as a must, walking even as Jesus Christ walked…
We now understand that we must bear fruit and that fruit is the Life, character and likeness of Jesus Christ in us…walking just as He walked…acknowledging that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh…He abides in us even to this day, therefore His character and likeness is not just historical and past and irrelevant as the world says but is and must be manifest in us today…
So, we take a moment and ask our selves, did Jesus Christ live a life of materialism, worldliness, greed, sin, hate, murder, jealousy, political Christianity?…which things, sad to say is what many Christians are walking in today blinded by foolish pastors and so-called apostles (actually apostates) who are busy committing adultery with the world and loving the things of the world.
The spirit of the Antichrist is that which causes men to love the world and hate Christ and become enemies of God. Brothers and Sisters, let us watch and be very careful, today's prosperity preachers are agents of the Antichrist regardless of if they know it or not...the gospel of prosperity, riches and materialism is one that conforms Christians to the standards of this world while hypocritically using The Name of Jesus Christ.
Now, you CANNOT love Jesus Christ and at the same time love the things of the world such as materialism, posh cars first class air travel, the best cars – SUVs, Gulf Stream Jets, Million Dollar houses, huge dollar bank accounts, fame, upper class neighborhoods, the rich, powerful politicians and so forth…all best the world can give…
The prosperity gospel conforms people to love the things of this world and as such makes Christians friends with this world and as such they become enemies of God.
You cannot love such and think that you are abiding in Christ Jesus…those who think in such a way are hoodwinked and bewitched by Satan himself…and such is the prosperity doctrine and purpose driven life of lies and a life outside Jesus Christ.
Those who live in such lies called “prosperity gospel” will never be fruitful with The Life of Jesus Christ in them…they will never ‘Confess, acknowledge, realize, assent, covenant, that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh’; they will always say that “Jesus Christ CAME in the flesh”…such is the spirit of the Antichrist…the spirit of the world and love for the things of the world…the spirit that rejects continual submission to the Lordship, Character, and Likeness of Jesus Christ.
1 John 2:15-19
(15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
(16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
(19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
The Antichrist spirit is very much connected to the love of the world and things of the world...
Those who love the world and the things of the world have no love of the Father in them… These are they that refuse to ‘confess, acknowledge, and assent that Jesus Christ IS COME in the flesh’; they refuse the Lordship and Life of Christ Jesus in their personal lives…
Such is the Prosperity Movement…this Movement is one that promises Christians riches here on earth and the best of the world here in this dying world that is certainly passing away. The prosperity movement is one that subtly indoctrinates its believers to love the world and the things of the world and in the process, they do away with the Love of The Father and ‘Confess Not that Jesus Christ IS COME in the flesh’…this is a movement of rebellion and as such it is an Antichrist Movement.
Sad to note is the fact that many churches here in Africa are being swept by this diabolical movement called the prosperity and purpose driven movement… TBN TV is the greatest dispenser of this World Love prosperity and purpose driven venom from the Antichrist.
I sometimes wonder why these TBN guys don’t stop their broadcasts here in Africa…we don’t need such venom, we are tired of it and please TBN keep your Antichrist programming to yourself. We shall have our bibles, those will be enough for us.
We are tired of such lies like “Enjoying Everyday Life” with Joyce Meyer, not forgetting Benn Hinn’s Jet purchase campaigns…
Benn Hinn says that we should give him money so he can buy a new plane and that we so send him to preach the gospel around the world…we are tired of such lies, we don’t see Jesus Christ in such, we don’t see, His character and likeness in such preachers but greed, materialism, covetousness, merchandising and selling of all those small idols Benn Hinn loves to call gifts for the price of donations from his viewers, and sure enough this is an Antichrist spirit!
Sad and so sad is the fact that the ‘emperor walks naked’ and does not even realize it…the TBN promotion of such filth around the world is such and simply a walking naked emperor here on Africa’s airwaves.
Revelation 3:17-18
(17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
What amazes me is the fact that despite heavy criticism against the prosperity movement and its preachers, many of them still continue to stubbornly preach this Antichrist Gospel of riches, fame, ‘getting to the next level’ “being fruitful” which is nothing other than love for the world.
Brethren, truly this is the last hour just as The Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles warned us 2000 years ago about the great deception that would happen prior to The Lord's Second coming.
The storms of deception are blowing left and right and against the people of God, those who call themselves after the name of The Lord.
Deception is so rampant that Pastors of churches and Christians are giving themselves over to the overt love for the things of the world.
The deception is packaged to seduce Christians in accepting a “good” life in the world. They are promised the 'best in the world' if they 'saw' seeds of faith... The talk in Christendom these days is about being “fruitful” and getting to the “next level” but the fruitfulness spoken about by these imposters who pretend to be pastors is all about getting more influence, materialism, riches and money in the world.
The “next level” that these false apostles speak about is all about “getting to the next level” in the social ladders of the affluent societies...this is the gospel of elitism and it only leads towards destruction.
Sad it is to say that the greatest proponents today are the Western Preachers and Pastors, almost 99 per cent of TBN TV is about the promotion for love of the world and the things of the world.
We in Africa are daily being bombarded by the false teachings on TBN about a “good life”, “being fruitful”, and “ getting to the next level” by mainly American preachers and America-nized preachers...
When one turns on Christian TV, all you see and hear is a gospel that speaks not about the cross of Jesus Christ but about “making it in life”, all we hear constantly is the heresy and error by such speakers as Joyce Meyer, and not to mention Kenneth Copeland and his “Faith” programs...all these guys do is speak about being conformed to the world...
Brethren, those who want blunt discernment concerning TBN TV, here is it...this is a TV that promotes a false gospel, another gospel, a gospel of the Antichrist, a gospel that conforms believers to love the world and to get justification from man. Yes, regardless of how many innocent and sincere preachers are on this TV, they have been blinded by the god of this world and to seduce and deceive believers in loving the world while hypocritically singing the Name of Jesus Christ.
These are the last days and the Antichrist does not come dressed in Halloween attire, the Antichrist comes dressed in business attire - in a corporate suit and a briefcase full of 100 US Dollars bill notes, credit and debit cards, with a brand new SUV, flies in a personal corporate Gulf Stream jet, being welcomed on pulpits every Sunday, and having his programs aired across the world on "Christian TV", while promising millions peace, prosperity, and a good life here on earth...
It is no wonder that his (antichrist) gospel connects well with the elite political establishment; they are all seeking peace and prosperity...and the establishment know that what some “Christians” need today is just money and 'making it in life', the very thing the Antichrist is willing to offer in his peace and prosperity initiatives...
1 Timothy 6:3-10
(3) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

(6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

(10) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
For the love of money is the source of all evil...don't be deceived, you cannot serve Jesus Christ and at the same time serve money...the prosperity preachers are liars and deceivers who desire us to believe that we can love Jesus Christ and money at the same time...those who heed these wolves who love to call themselves prosperity teachers and 'enjoying everyday life' preachers are doomed for destruction...brethren, repent!
Brethren, come out from such, be separate and The Lord will receive you...Amen
Revelation 18:4
(4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Who is Pastor Kiganda?

2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
(3) If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
