Statement of Faith
It is finished (John 19:30)
Arise, shine; for thy light is come (Isaiah 60:1)
That was the true light that lighteth even man that cometh in the world (John 1:9)
Ye are the light of the world (Mathew 5:14)
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the lord: walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8)
I Believe
1. in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments are the Only inspired, infallible Word of God. That the Holy Bible was written by holy men divinely inspired by the Holy Ghost and is God's revelation of Himself to man. The Scriptures are for instruction and are supreme and the Bible is the final authority on all matters of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
2. in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father,
The Son and Holy Ghost. (1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ) (John 1:1-5) (Rev 19:13)
3. that God is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things and that He created everything out of nothing for His own pleasure and purpose. (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26-27; Hebrews 1:8; Psalm 110:1)
4. in the Deity of Jesus Christ. He is the Second Person of the Godhead Trinity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten of the Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin named Mary, and became flesh
without ceasing to be God. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. That He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect sinless life, did many awesome miracles, provided for the atonement of our sins by shedding His precious blood and dying a torturous death on the cross. We believe that God raised Him from the dead on the third day, that He ascended back to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes as High Priest and Advocate on behalf of all who believe in Him. We believe in His personal return in power and great glory.
5. that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again according to the Scriptures and that He is the Promised Jewish Messiah. That He fulfilled the Old Testament Messianic prophecies concerning Himself. (Isaiah 53,
Isaiah 9:6, Zech 12:10, Psalm 22:16, John 19:37, Daniel 9:26, Psalm 16:10, Acts 13:37, Micah 5:2, Genesis 49:10, 1Chron 17:11) ...plus so many more.
6. That salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only in Christ Jesus do we have redemption through his blood, and our sins are forgiven. (Colossians 1:14) When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord,
trusting ONLY Him to save them and that His blood washes our sins away, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit. All his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. The Bible teaches that the Lord Jesus is the Only way to Heaven and man cannot enter heaven by their good works or deeds ...through no merit of their own...Jesus alone can only save us. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. That the Holy Ghost is our Comforter and indwells the believer, bestows spiritual gifts upon them, and empowers them for service and holy living. (John 1:12; Acts 20:21)
7. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
8. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
9. Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
10. In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
11. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
10. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
11. Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
12. That a true Christian can not be under a curse because Christ became a curse for his/her sake(Galatians 3:13)
14. In giving because Christ said Give and it shall be given unto you(Luke 6:38).Christian have a duty to give to the church out of a joyous heart and should always bear each other’s burdens.
12. In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.
13. Visible and Physical Return Of Christ and Judgment, John 14:1-3, Romans 6:23, Revelations 21:8
14. That Christ’s kingdom is not of this world(John 18:36)
15. That the lord Christ Jesus Christ Alone is the Head of the Church and not State, Government, Business, or Collective entities
Romans 12:5
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
16. In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
What I Reject and do not believe
ALL man-made dogma
The teaching of "positive confession"
Once saved always saved doctrine
The belief that true-Christians can be possessed by demons. This is anti-biblical!!
"Dominion theology" or "kingdom theology"
The Fatalistic hyper-Calvinistic view, which allows no room for free will.
Prophecy that supersedes biblical scripture.
ALL of "Charismania" (the over-emphasis upon "spiritual" gifts, experiential signs and wonders, etc.). We also reject Charismania's definition of spiritual gifts.
Prosperity Gospel
Purpose driven church , purpose driven life and purpose driven gospel
Political Christianity
Word of Faith doctrines and teachings (which teach Jesus died spiritually and had to become born again and suffered 3 days in hell). Pure blasphemy!
Extra biblical revelations , dreams and visions
In compulsory tithing(because we are no longer under the school master( mosaic law)(Galatians 3:24-25).Christians give as the lord leads them. One can give a tenth , a half , a fifth etc as the lord leads(2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
Pre-tribulation rapture(Mathew 24:29)
Any teaching that is contrary to the Word of God. Any teaching that goes beyond what the Bible says. Any teaching or religion that propagates good works as a means for salvation. Any teaching that promotes praying to Mary or to saints. Any teaching or religion that
adds to or deletes from what is written in the Bible. Any teaching that denies the Trinity. Any teaching that denies the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
